A nervous-looking woman carrying a leather bag hurriedly ran towards them from afar.
Looking at her, Freddy immediately notice the resemblance to the little girl he just saved.
Arriving before them, she immediately started checking the little girl's body "Are you okay? What happened? Where does it hurt?"
She immediately bombarded the little girl with multiple questions at once, her eyes and hand never stopped searching her body for injuries.
"Your daughter's fine Ellie, thanks to that young adventurer over there." One of the men from the already dispersing crowd spoke while walking away.
"Yes mother, it was this mister who saved me." The little girl Layla replied, reinforcing the earlier man's statement.
Turning towards Freddy, Ellie bowed in gratitude "thank you very much kind sir, I'm so grateful for your help."
"Glad I could help. You should be more careful around the road from now on, okay Layla?" Freddy smiled, the last part meant for the little girl.
"May I know kind sir's name?" Ellie asked, holding Layla to herself.
"Aegis... Aegis Kaelos" Freddy replied.
"Nice to meet you sir Kaelos, I'm Ellie." Ellie replied and offered her hand for a handshake.
As soon as Freddy shook her hand, another system Notification surprised him.

Seeing the notifications, Freddy suddenly recalled something and smile sheepishly. "Now that I think of it, I haven't checked on my character stats since I logged in."
"Where is your sword mister? Why don't you have a sword like the others?" Layla suddenly asked, her eyes fixed on a Swordsman player carrying a beginner sword.
Tracing her gaze, Freddy smiled and lifted his knuckles "these are my swords, and I even have two."
"But that isn't a sword?" The innocent little Layla replied, surprisingly Ellie spoke up too.
"If you like to battle with your fist, I might have something that could be of help." Saying this she reached into her bag and pulled out a pair of black leather grappling gloves.
"This should provide a little bit of support, take it as a little thank you for saving Layla." She said as she passed them to him.
Receiving the glove, Freddy immediately inspected it through the system.

"Thank you." Even though he was confused about the glove information, Freddy nevertheless thanked her.

"Bye-bye mister." Layla waved at Freddy and ran after her mother.
"I totally forgot this is a game, I haven't even looked through my character stats." Freddy mocked himself internally.
Having logged in for almost an hour, Freddy hadn't taken half a step out of the beginners town. High level players were already at level 2, with many well on their way to level 3.
"I should go out and level up, I'm already being left behind." Not wanting to waste any more time, he summoned his stats with a thought.

The beginner outfit were a starting outfit for all new players consisting of a white tunic shirt, brown leather pants and leather boots.
However to make differentiation easy, males wore long- sleeve and normal pants, while females wore short-sleeve and capri-pants.
After that Freddy opened his inventory and saw ten pieces of fresh bread and ten pouches of milk. Pulling out one of the breads, it's information appeared.
