Gabriela's eyes widened as she peeped through the office door peephole, her heart sinking with every word her father spoke to the girl. He was discussing marriage with her mother and the property he would transfer to her name once she became part of the family.
The girl's signature on the file seemed to mock Gabriela, knowing it was meant for her sister Daniela. A seething rage built up inside her, her mind racing with thoughts of how her sister was being cheated. As the girl approached the door, Gabriela didn't notice, too consumed by her anger. The door swung open, hitting her forehead, and she stumbled backward, her eyes watering.
The girl didn't even glance back, her heels clicking away as she left. Gabriela's anger boiled over, and she stormed into her father's office."Dad, how could you do this to Daniela?" she yelled, her voice cracking with tears. Mr. Alejandro Flores stood up, his expression calm, and gently guided Gabriela to him. "
Who is this girl?" Gabriela demanded, her eyes red from crying. "Why are you getting married without our permission?"Alejandro's voice was measured, but his words cut deep. "Daniela isn't my daughter. She doesn't deserve anything." Gabriela's world crumbled, her mind reeling. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "Who's her father?"Alejandro's words were like a knife to her heart. "Your mother was with someone else before me. They were together when they were poor, living in the woods. When Esmeralda met me, they separated. They got back together briefly before Daniela's birth."
Gabriela's denial was visceral. "NO, NO, NO, IT'S A LIE! DANIELA IS MY SISTER, DANIELA IS MY SISTER!" she shouted, tears streaming down her face. Alejandro's hand clamped over her mouth, his grip firm.
"Shh, people will hear you," he warned. He tossed a designer bag at her.
"Change into this, you're going to be late for school." Gabriela's anger and hurt seethed through her pores. She took the bag and stormed into the bathroom, slamming the door behind her. When she emerged, she threw the bag back at Alejandro.
"I don't want your lies," she seemed to say with her actions. Without a word, she turned and walked out of the office, her head held high despite the turmoil inside. The workers watched her go, their greetings dying on their lips as they took in her distraught expression.
When the car drove off, the tears flowed freely down her cheeks.
"How could he? He wants to get married and give Daniela's rights to that rude, disrespectful bitch? That's really unfair!" She thought aloud. Her phone rang.
"Hello."
"Where are you, Gabriela? Classes have begun. You're so late!"
"I am? I...I...I'll be there soon."
"You sound a little shaky, what's the problem?" Isabella asked, concerned.
"It's...I'll explain it all later, okay.."
The sun cast a warm glow over the college quad, students lounging on the grass or hurrying to their next class. Some sat under trees, noses buried in books, while others strolled along the pathways, chatting with friends.
A group of students clustered near the cafeteria, laughing and snapping photos. Nearby, a different scene unfolded – a clique of students bullied a quiet classmate, mocking their clothes and making snide comments.Amidst the bustle, a sleek, expensive car pulled up, drawing attention from everyone around.
The driver's door opened, and Gabriela Flores stepped out, her long curls cascading down her back. She wore a black short tube dress, that hugged her curves perfectly.
Students couldn't help but stare, admiring her beauty and poise. As she walked towards the building, some students quickly pulled out their phones, snapping photos and whispering to each other.
"Is that Gabriela Flores?" someone asked, eyes wide with admiration. "I've heard she's super rich and influential," another student chimed in.
"Gabriela Flores, wow!!"
"Someone pinch me, is this Gabriela?"
"Gabriela, let's hang out!."
"Those curves are insane!"
"I'm in love with her already!"
"I'll date her, just you wait."
"Is she single?"
A group of girls approached her, smiling brightly.
"Hi, Gabriela! We love your style. Can we take a selfie with you?" Gabriela's expression remained neutral, but she nodded graciously, posing for photos. Students fawned over her, hoping to catch her eye and become her friend.
"You're so beautiful, Gabriela. We should totally study together sometime," one girl suggested, eyes shining with excitement.Gabriela's eyes seemed distant, her mind elsewhere, but she smiled politely, playing along. As she walked away, students continued to watch her, some whispering about her family and their wealth.
Gabriela's presence commanded attention, and she seemed accustomed to being the center of attention.
As she stepped into the school building, the murmurs continued.
"OMG, Gabriela Flores is here."
"Her curves are a work of art!"
"She's seriously hot!"
"Her lips are as full as her boobs."
"Is she Latina?"
"Damn, she's sexy!"
"She's half Latina half mine."
"Gabriela!" Isabella ran towards her.
"You're so late. Its recess but our business classes are starting soon. Let's go see the Principal." They both walked to the Principal's office, their heels clacking simultaneously.
"Good morning sir." They greeted.
The Principal's eyes was fixed on the laptop.
"Are you newbies?" He asked.
"Yeah...I am Isabella Wilson. This is my friend, Gabriela Flores." His eyes flew on the girls suddenly, and they widened. He got up from his seat.
"Oh my gosh! Sorry I was so busy with a project I didn't even realize that the heiress of the Flores' family was standing right before me! Oh, you're welcome to The White's Academy, our prestigious college where every student attends to be a success story!" Gabriela got a handshake from the Principal.
"Mr. Alejandro called me and made the payment. He even donated to our school's janitor closet, our bleachers and our science laboratory."
"Science? Why did he donate for that?" Gabriela and Isabella put on confused looks.
"His daughter did our combined program and after graduation, he enrolled her into our college to study Chemistry." He returned to his seat.
"He doesn't have a daughter having a combined program or a science course. Tell me about it!" Gabriela hit his table, trying to believe it was a misunderstanding. The Principal flinched.
"Her name is Claudia. Mr. Alejandro keeps mentioning that she's his daughter, because he'll be getting married to her mother soon. He even invited me to the wedding." He took out the invitation flyer from his drawer and gave it to Gabriela. She read through, with a blank expression.
"The next day, Claudia changed her course of study. There's a possibility she takes over some of your Dad's properties. You'll attend most of the lectures together. You'll have time to get to know each other better!"
"Dad did all this without telling me? Claudia must be that rude girl. She attends this school? You struck it lucky, Gabriela." She thought deep within herself.
"Mr. Alejandro is getting married? Gabriela didn't give a hint on it. What a pleasant surprise." Isabella joked. She returned the flyer.
"Where do we get our books?"
"Everything has been made available for you."

"Let's welcome them our new business students with a round of applause." They applauded, without even seeing their faces. Murmurs filled the lecture room, because they knew Gabriela Flores was one of them.
"Introduce yourselves briefly before we get on with the class. We don't have all day." The group of new students came in, but all eyes were on hottest heiress, Gabriela Flores.
They introduced themselves and the class president, Nadia ushered them to their seats.
"That's so nice of you Nadia. You get a third star for your good reputation always." Nadia went to the professor and added a tiny star to her uniform, which already had two tiny stars earlier for her good behavior.
"Is this a preschool or something?" Isabella whispered to Gabriela and they both giggled.
"These two don't need an introduction."
"Um, Gabriela and Isabella, you're welcome to our school. Here we hold high prestige and we hope you don't tarnish the image of our academy with your bad behaviors." The duo gave the professor a death glare.
"I suspect your child's misconduct must have won countless awards. She adds a lot to the school's reputation." The class roared in laughter and murmurs.
"Gabriela! How dare you talk to the professor like that?!" Nadia snapped.
"Stars doesn't add any value to your femininity. I mean - physically. I saw you stuffing your bra near the locker." The students erupted in laughter, gasps and murmurs.
"Oops, I spilled the beans. Is her crush present?"
"Quiet! Gabriela, it's just your first day. Save all the squabble for your cafeteria moments."
"Great. Nadia, I'm gonna get you wrapped around my finger. See ya then!" She spoke in a sassy tone.
"Nadia. Take Gabriela and Isabella to their deserved seats."
"Deserved seats? What do you mean?" Isabella chipped in. Nadia came near the girls and Gabriela pushed her slightly.
"Don't touch me." She led the way and Isabella followed.
"Oh my God, that was hard!"
"Way to go, Gabriela!"
"I love her already!"
"Claudia's mom got a taste of her own medicine. She thinks we've all got bad manners. Her daughter's friends are the only right ones."
"Gabriela could be our next school Queen. She'll ruin Claudia."
"Finally, someone to shut Claudia's mouth."
Claudia fumed in her seat. She faced Nadia, who was sitting next to her with an embarrassed look.
"Nadia. I'll give her a warning. She dare not mess with us again."
