"Sona, don't you have anything to say to me?"
Tenra's voice cut through the quiet, his gaze steady on Sona Sitri across the desk.
"What's left to say? Your sister's enrollment is complete. You're free to go."
She didn't even look up, her tone glacial.
Calling Ravel "your sister" as if they were strangers? Tenra almost laughed out loud at the sheer absurdity.
"Tsubaki, could you and the others step outside? I need a moment alone with Sona."
He drew a slow breath, reigning in the urge to snap. No more dodging—today, he'd settle things with Sona.
After a brief pause, Tsubaki Shinra nodded and led the others out, leaving the room to Tenra and Sona.
Silence fell, heavy and charged.
"If you have nothing to say, Tenra Kamiyo, then please leave."
Sona's cold voice broke the stillness.
"Sona, why have you been so cold to me lately? Is it really just because of what happened last time?"
Tenra's eyes didn't waver.
"Yes. It's because of last time."
She adjusted her glasses, her composure unbroken. "Tenra Kamiyo, our relationship has crossed a line it shouldn't. For both our sakes, we need distance."
"Distance? Are you serious?"
Tenra's frustration boiled over. "You want to back out now? Isn't it a little late for regrets, Sona?"
He stepped forward, closing the gap.
"Sona Sitri, I like you."
"And you—how do you feel about me? I want an answer."
He met her gaze, refusing to let her hide.
Sona's mask slipped; her cheeks flushed, and she instinctively turned away.
"Tenra Kamiyo, you are an exceptional man. Women in both the Underworld and the human world are drawn to you."
"But for us—it's impossible."
She struggled to keep her voice steady.
"Impossible? Then what was last time? Don't tell me that was just a 'thank you.'"
"I admit, you moved me. But I've regretted it ever since. If it caused you trouble, I apologize."
Tenra's laugh was cold. "An apology? That's all? If I'd been the one to make a move, then brushed it off with a sorry—how would you feel?"
Sona fell silent, the truth stinging. She'd been the one who acted first, then retreated behind a wall of indifference. Shame flickered in her eyes.
"So what do you want?"
Her cold façade cracked, replaced by a vulnerable uncertainty.
She was drawn to Tenra—she couldn't deny it. But he was Rias's fiancé, surrounded by other women. Logic screamed at her to stay away.
But logic had lost its grip.
"It's not about what I want, Sona. It's about what you want."
"You kissed me. That means you're mine."
Tenra's voice was firm, possessive.
"Tenra Kamiyo, you're too domineering."
He smirked. "You're only realizing that now? If you think this is domineering, I can show you something even bolder."
Without warning, he pulled her into his arms and claimed her lips.
"Mmm—!"
Sona's pride flared. She fought back, but Tenra held her fast, every move confident, practiced.
Sparks raced through her mind. Even her iron will couldn't hold out—her resistance melted, her eyes grew hazy, and she surrendered to the moment.
Tenra knew how high Sona's walls were. If he didn't break them today, he might never get another chance.
He didn't let up until he was certain—he'd left his mark on her heart. Only then did he release her, a silvery thread connecting their lips.
"No… we can't… Tenra Kamiyo, we just can't…"
Sona's voice was a whisper, lost and uncertain. Tenra's smile softened.
"If we can't, then let's keep going."
He didn't give her a chance to protest before kissing her again.
Who knows how much time passed? Tenra lounged in the president's chair, savoring the moment. Sona, hair and clothes in disarray, lay exhausted in his arms, her breathing unsteady—though her eyes still flashed with cold defiance.
"Sona, whether you're angry or upset, I like you. And I'll never let another man have you."
"If you really want to get rid of me, kill me. That's your only option."
He closed his eyes, surrendering the decision.
A glint of magic sparked in Sona's eyes. She raised her hand, power gathering—a spell strong enough to kill him outright, especially with his guard down.
She was proud, and Tenra's high-handedness had truly infuriated her. He was right: if she ended him now, she'd be free.
The air grew colder, heavy with possibility.
But—
"Tenra Kamiyo… you win…"
The magic faded. Sona closed her eyes.
She knew he'd forced her hand, but she simply couldn't bring herself to kill him.
She'd lost.
"Sona, be my wife."
Tenra's lips curled into a smile. He leaned close, whispering in her ear.
Victory was his.
"I… I need to think about it…"
Panic flickered across Sona's face.
She liked Tenra—she couldn't deny that. But to accept his confession and agree to marriage right now? She couldn't.
"That's fine. Take your time. But whatever you decide, you'll be my wife."
Tenra's tone was gentle, but resolute.
Sona's lips twitched. She nearly cursed. If the outcome was set, what was the point of thinking it over?!
She finally understood how Rias had survived this man's relentless pursuit. Still, Sona was smart—she kept her silence. At least now, she had a little breathing room.
"From now on, Sona, you're not allowed to act cold toward me. And while you're thinking, we're a couple. You have to let me do some couple things."
"Absolutely not!"
The first condition, fine. The second—never.
This guy was shameless!
"Then at least when we're alone, we're a couple…"
Tenra leaned in, his threat clear: refuse, and he'd push even further.
Sona hesitated, weighing her pride against reality. Finally, she nodded.
If it was just between the two of them, and only a few couple things… she could accept that.
"It's settled, then!"
"I need to get to class. As my girlfriend, shouldn't you send me off with something?"
Tenra's smile was radiant, his eyes full of hope.
Blushing, Sona hesitated—then lifted her head and kissed him.
