Chapter 15 - The clan chief

M.C P.O.V

The flame dance was one the most amazing thing I have ever seen in both my lives. I once had chance to see something similar in old world but it held nothing to this. Taking a deep breath to clam myself down I turn to brave hart. We both nodded to and made our way to the clan chiefs home Ur following us. I had to keep a hand on top of his head to make sure he would not run off and try to jump off something again.

"So do you know what your mother what to talk about" I asked brave hart. She shock her head "no mother did not say anything about it to me" she replied. After that brave hart and I made our way in silence. Not the uncorrelatable type but the two of us are not being the conversation type so most times we just end up like this.

It felt great because the rest of the team tend to be a handful in there own ways. Ur can't go a minute without running and climbing something just so he could jump off. Tia demanded all my attention and act out when she didn't get it. Metal tend not think things through and act recklessly because he didn't consider the consequences. Rose tends to spoil the twins and had a hard time standing up for herself letting other people taken advantage by others. I sighed and thought of all this I had somehow gotten myself a troublesome team.

"Some thing wrong brother" Brave hart asked seeing my sigh. I just smiled at her she was only one that did not cause me to worry. I patted her head and kept my smile she seemed to be taken aback by that but made no effacers to push me away. "It's nothing" I said and pulled my hand away she nodded and we walked toward the clan chiefs home.

The chiefs home was not that different from the other homes in village. Just being larger most likely because of the chiefs size. She was largest dragon of the village expect for Ikaika which does not example how Brave hart ended up being so small. I waited Infront of the hut as Brave hart went in first to make sure she was able to meet us. She came out about 5 minutes later to let me know that the chief was ready.

The two of went in to find the chief seated at a table with a pot of tea. She motioned for the two of us to sit down on the chairs across from her. We sat down as she placed a tea cup Infront of each of us and then served the tea. We each took a sip and then waited for the chief to speak first. "Young Dracule welcome to my home" she said in kind voice. That took me back when ever I talk to her she had a commanding voice. "Thank you for welcoming me" I said she nod and then took a sip of her tea for continuing. "You're welcome, now then lets get to why I had you came here" she told me looking more serious.

"I know that my daughter plans to go with you when you leave the island" she continued. Brave hart looked shock because she had not told her mother about her plans. Seeing this the chief looked to her daughter "come now did think I did not know you well enough to see what your planning" she said. Brave Hart looked embarrassed being seen through so easily but I found it endearing that her mother knew her so well. "Now then I will get straight to it I will approve of you taking her if both of you can pass my tests" she said. Brave hart and I looked to each each other and then back to the chief and nodded. "Good then get ready it will be the same day as the one we hold for the other humans" she said and got up. The two of us followed her as she lead us out and back into the village.

6 months later ocean outside the island

A large ship was making it way towards the island at about 30 knots the ship is just over 68 meters long. From her aggressive profile to her expansive walkaround decks and open stern, the ship is purpose-built for owners who crave connection with the sea. The innovative layout offers seamless indoor-outdoor living, with a wide, fully open cockpit flowing effortlessly into a contemporary saloon and helm station. Below deck, a refined and customizable interior houses up to three guest cabins, including a full-beam master suite that combines privacy with understated sophistication.

On deck stood an middle age, but tall and muscular man, who has a white mustache wearing black sailor-like clothes with a Poké Ball emblem on them. A white hat and a ragged mantle with yellow outlines and stripes on his sleeves. He is also wearing blue trousers, buckled up with a dark belt and wears black boots. He was holding a cigarette with a burring tip "I thought you quit" a voice said from behind him. Turning around he saw a older man man walking towards him, The man had a head full white hair that flow down his back. He wearing a red cloak and white suit with a blue undershirt. He also had on a pair of black dress shoes and pair glasses covered his eyes he walked up to middle aged man and took out a pipe and began to smoke himself.

"I have, just holding it" said the middle age the older man said nothing and just took a long drag from his pipe. " I heard that your region about get a new champion" the old man said the middle age man nodded. "Yes Joseph son but I don't like the boy" the middle age man said in his deep voice. The older man looked to him to continued he did "he doesn't want to be champion his father just pushing him so he have less oversight from the league". The older man nodded "so he trying to make his own macro cosmos" he said. "Yes, and the boy's has no back bone when comes to his father" the younger man almost yelled. "The boy also has talent but if unable to stand up to his father then he let us turn into a another Galar" he said anger clear in his voice.

"You need to step down at some point you know" the old man said to his old friend. The middle aged man shook his head "No, not until I know my homeland is safe" he said. "Lets change the topic how's yours grandson doing" he asked the older man. The older man smiled with the thought of his grandson "He's little sea sick but well over all" he said. The middle aged man let out a breath at that "how can he be a trainer if gets a sea sick" he said in a playful voice. "Not everyone like you running around in the ocean" the old man said with equal playfulness.

The two old friends laughed together "how many do you think will pass this time" the middle aged man asked. "Hard to say, but I say 5" the old man said with some thought in his voice. "You are being to optimistic outside of Ryuki I don't see any that could pass the trial" the middle age man said. The older man shook his head "your standers are too high" he said to his old friend. "I'm not saying that they are not talent but even among dragons kommo-o are hard to catch" he said.

The old man nodded he knew all too well how hard it was to earn the respect and loyalty of the Kommo-o line. They weren't violet dragons like the salamence's line or the hydreigon line but they needed equal caution. They were warriors honorable warriors if they found that you did hold that honor then they would never fight for you worse they would attack you. "I'm sure of there character" he said to his old friend. "There character is not what I talking about, they have not fought outside of the ring before" he said back to his old friend.

The old man nodded in understanding official battling was not for the weak of hart. There no small number of deaths and injuries that happen every year even with ditto cells. But even with all that it still was not the same as wild battles. Where there no rules and only thing your opponent wanted was your death or worse. The trial they face was not at that level but it would be as close as possible.

"I still believe in them" the old man said with clam voice. The middle age man just shook his head "I guess we will see if they can live up to your expectations" he said. The old friends fell in a confutable silence as they looked to island that was drawing closer. There faces heavy with the knowledge of what the young people of the boat would face once they stepped on there.
