Everything was dark, nothing and no one was there. Taro was wandering in the void with nowhere to go. Suddenly, an unknown source of light started to rise and call him. Somebody was calling Taro by his name many times. It was Vincy's voice, trying to wake him up.
Taro regained consciousness and found himself in his room, lying on his bed. Beside him, he saw Vincy and Yukiko. They were relieved after seeing him waking up from his downfall. Taro survived, all thanks to Yukiko's healing spell.
It was impressive how a sakura samurai like her could have all these abilities and skills: magical rope, healing ability, and high combat intelligence. In addition, she could identify anyone's race through their mana, just like she did with Vincy. However, Yukiko's weakness was in defense.
Taro, on the other hand, wouldn't have been able to defeat her without using Enzo's boosting magic. Yukiko's revenge didn't compare to Taro's hope and determination. But what was that revenge exactly?
When Taro got up, he checked his stomach... it was totally fine, which felt strange. Vincy explained how Yukiko healed him while he was unconscious and how he carried him to his room by the arm. Taro's face turned red after thinking that a girl had seen his stomach to heal him, he felt embarrassed.
Yukiko looked at Taro with a sad expression, regretting what she had done to him, and realizing that Taro had been planning not to hurt her at all, and never letting Vincy die. Yukiko then smiled at Taro, saying:
"I'm glad you're fine now, Abodo-kun."
Taro was confused by what she had called him, until he remembered that she was actually Japanese, yet her English accent was still very good.
"Yeah sure, after almost killing both of us," Vincy jumped into the conversation. "Can you tell us now what the purpose of this was?"
"I have nothing to do with you, devil," Yukiko said.
"Devil! Devil! Devil!" Vincy repeated angrily. "Stop calling me that! The name is Vincy! And if I'm a devil, then you're a monster. Don't jump to conclusions without thinking for a second, idiot!"
"I don't need to think about anything when it comes to killing a devil, Baka!" Yukiko replied with a cold expression.
Then she looked outside the window and said:
"I have my reasons to kill devils... they killed my family and burned my house in Tokyo, when I was a child."
Both Taro and Vincy felt sorry after hearing that from Yukiko.
"Tonikaku..." Yukiko said while smiling toward Taro, "he told me everything about your objective. Since I have nothing else to do, I'll help you until the very end."
She held her mask beside her face, saying while winking playfully:
"You can treat it as payback for saving me that time!"
Taro and Vincy were smiling. Then Taro thanked her by bowing to her. At this moment, Mona arrived home, coming back from the supermarket where Taro worked. She bought vegetables, fruits, different kinds of meats, and many other food supplies. She was impressed by Yukiko's outfit.
"Oh, si belle!" Mona said. "Your outfit is amazing!"
Vincy introduced Yukiko to Mona as Taro's friend from school. He asked Mona if Yukiko could live here with Taro and Vincy, telling her that Yukiko's parents had passed away and she was living alone.
"Oh my...!" Mona said, "Of course she can stay, all of you are welcome!"
Mona was relieved that Taro was gaining more friends over time, without the worry of him being alone. On the other hand, Vincy requested this just to keep an eye on her and make sure she wouldn't do anything selfish. Also, to use her help in defeating Armageddon.
Both Taro and Yukiko blushed at this unexpected request. Yukiko refused at first, thinking how irrelevant it was. However, Mona recommended her to stay, telling her about Taro's personality. Yukiko rethought her decision and accepted, knowing how gentle Taro truly was, as his personality had been reflected while they dueled.
Vincy felt a bit jealous and jumped into the conversation, changing the topic:
"Blah! Living with her is going to be a nightmare for Taro!"
"Oi kisama," Yukiko said angrily, "do you want a punch in your face?"
"Try that, you cotton candy girl!" Vincy mocked her.
"Don't you dare call me that again!" Yukiko shouted.
Vincy kept calling her that nickname. Meanwhile, Taro was watching them argue while sweating in confusion.
September 9, 2008 – Tuesday.
At night around 9 PM, Taro went with his mother to the airport, helping her by holding her luggage. Taro and Mona hugged each other before separating at the airport.
As Taro was heading back home, he met Yukiko coming out of her apartment, finally ready to live with Taro and Vincy. Taro was thankful for Vincy's decision, as the apartment she had been living in was too small and dirty. In addition, it was far from their school.
Taro helped Yukiko with her bags, walking all the way with her. She started chatting about different things, even though she knew he couldn't speak. She didn't want him to feel ashamed of this disability, and she became even more gentle with him, caring deeply about their friendship. Taro, on the other hand, responded with facial expressions. Yukiko apologized for what she had done to him. He smiled innocently, comforting her to forget everything and just live her life freely.
Around 10 PM, Taro and Yukiko arrived home. Taro found Vincy sleeping in his parents' room. Taro decided to let Yukiko sleep in his room, changing the blanket so she'd sleep comfortably. Next, Taro prepared dinner for them. Yukiko was surprised by how well Taro cooked, especially with how smooth he was in the kitchen. Unlike her, who had never even touched a frying pan properly. Then, Yukiko went to sleep in his room, while Taro slept on the couch in the living room.
September 10, 2008 – Wednesday.
After school, the three friends were waiting for the bus to return home. Suddenly, they heard a huge sound from the park, believing it was the appearance of dark creatures again. Without thinking, all of them rushed there together... in their school uniforms.
When they arrived, they saw a portal that looked just like the previous wave. Taro pulled two daggers from his backpack, he had found them in the basement yesterday after the last sword incident. It wasn't recommended for Taro to use them since he hadn't practiced with them, but he had no choice.
On the other hand, Vincy started drinking his soda boosting his stamina. Meanwhile, a pink light shined from Yukiko, her clothes had changed completely. Taro was shocked, and Vincy spit the drink out of his mouth.
"W-WHAT?!" Vincy shouted in shock. "How did you change clothes on the street?! Did you lose your mind?!"
"Nani...?" Yukiko replied. "What are you talking about? That's my {Equip Spell}."
"Another spell?!" Vincy yelled. "Is there anything in your pouch we don't know about yet?!"
"Does it look like we have time for prattle?" Yukiko replied, pointing at the portal with her katana.
Suddenly, many dark creatures appeared from the portal. The three warriors rushed forward, easily defeating them in great numbers. After a few minutes, all the waves were cleared, but it wasn't over yet.
Suddenly, an earthquake struck out of nowhere, it was the sign of another creature... a huge one. A dark giant cyclops approached them, using its {Laser Beam} from its big red eye. They dodged it just in time, then started using their abilities against the cyclops.
Yukiko used her {Sakura Rope} on him, but the cyclops cut it instantly. Then she began slashing at its body with her katana, but it was still useless. She felt exhausted and couldn't strike anymore because of the last wave.
Before the cyclops could shoot another laser at Yukiko, Vincy blasted a fireball at the cyclops, interrupting its laser.
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?!" Vincy shouted at the creature.
The dark cyclops started chasing Vincy, firing multiple laser beams. Vincy began preparing a huge flaming ball while dodging the lasers.
Then, he launched it toward the creature. The cyclops batted the fireball away toward the sea with his arm like it was nothing.
Taro rushed at the creature with his daggers, but the cyclops's body was too tough. After a few stabs, one of the daggers broke, leaving him with only one dagger. Taro started thinking of a better plan to defeat the creature before it could cause chaos in the park. He had an idea, he threw the last dagger at the cyclops's big eye.
The dagger hit its big eye. The cyclops roared, clutching it in pain. Then, it became enraged and smashed the ground with its leg, causing another strong earthquake. All of them were knocked down and couldn't move.
The creature then approached Taro, charging its eye to shoot a laser at him. Suddenly, a bright yellow light in the shape of an arrow shot directly into the creature's eye. That light arrow completely removed its eye, and the cyclops collapsed to the ground and vanished.
Vincy and Yukiko stood there while smiling in relief, catching their breath. Meanwhile, Taro was confused about who fired that arrow.
From the park, a girl wearing archer clothes and a white assassin mask approached. Vincy got ready for combat, thinking she was an enemy.
"My my...!" She said. "How rude. At least show some respect to the one who saved you, Vincy."
Vincy was confused about how she knew his name, until she removed her mask…
...shocking both Taro and Vincy!
