Chapter 3 - Resource Hunting & Handling

Mandor appears in a location in hell, which was in the greed sector and it was the mine for Dormite, but since this resource was so unbelievably valuable, the miner's had separate rooms that had an iron door locking the greedy person in as the floor is made of hot coal that burns at 1000 degrees Celsius as they mine the 15 by 15-foot Dormite ore. There is also a slot in the wall where the human drops the Dormite ore instead of putting it in a bag, so stealing isn't an option. Going into a cell and mining the ore is not an option either, due to the fact that all the cells are guarded, even the empty ones.

And these guards are no joke since they are 10 times better than the average demon guard in everyway, and regular demon guards can demolish entire buildings with one punch. Mandor really thinks about it and comes up with a plan, so he starts by trying to find a nearby workshop for the Dormite mines, but unlike the Gold and Iron mines, these buildings are consistently guarded by regular guards, so Mandor pulls out his Demon Blade, kills the three demons guarding this workshop, and goes inside the workshop before another demon could notice him while also dragging in the bodies as well. Mandor looks around and finds an anvil and forge, so he starts making a drill to dig into the little slot area, so then he could make a pipe that would take all the Dormite ore back to Mandor.

These pipes are going to be lined with netherrack, which is what 98% of hell is made of, so it blends in. Mandor finishes the drill after a couple minutes and runs over to the dormite mines and uses his amazing math skills to pinpoint the exact location of the room he was going to do first, which was in Sector B in room 105. Mandor did some calculations, and the average distance from room to room is about 6 feet, so the room would be exactly 630 feet from him. Mandor managed to calculate this because he scoped out the general area of the room and noticed it was unguarded the most while staying hidden at the same time before going to the nearby workshop.

Mandor ran along the edge of the Dormite mine's building, ran the exact distance, and began drilling into the room, which took him 10–15 minutes due to the fact that netherrack is twice as durable as steel. After Mandor finally managed to get into the room without being noticed, he saw the Dormite ore in its rainbow glory. Mandor grabbed a pickaxe and hit the Dormite ore with all his might, which completely shattered the rock. Mandor grabbed as much Dormite as he could, and he got about 256 raw Dormite ore into his bag, which filled it completely, and it was pretty heavy and next time Mandor would install the pipe.

After Mandor got the ore, he noticed that a Dormite Demon Guard was approaching the room with what looked to be another person who was greedy in their past lives, so Mandor quickly dipped through the hole he made and then used his portal gun to get back home, but before he did, he got grabbed by the leg and thrown into a wall, which caused Mandor to drop his bag of Dormite and portal gun. ''"SHIT, I CAN'T FIGHT A DORMITE GUARD RIGHT NOW."'' Mandor said while getting up and grabbing the portal gun and Dormite bag at the same time, so Mandor goes full speed to get away, and he starts moving at superhuman speeds of around 100 miles per hour. But the Dormite Guard was catching up to Mandor fast, so Mandor fired a portal in the Dormite Guard's direction, but they managed to dodge the portal, so Mandor then had an idea. He wound up his legs, jumped as high as he could, and reached about 40 feet in the air. He stabbed his Demon Blade into the side of a wall on the Dormite Mine building and started climbing up the wall to reach the roof, but the Dormite Guard had wings, so it spread them and began to fly up to Mandor, but Mandor managed to get to the top in time.

Mandor knew very well that if he tried to face the Dormite Guard head-on, he would lose BADLY. Mandor has a lot of knowledge about hell, as he has researched it in the past when he had the hobby of being a scientist/researcher, and he knows the Dormite Guard's capabilities pretty well. Mandor looked around and made up a good plan on the spot, and when the Dormite Guard (DrG for short) finally got on the roof, a couple seconds after Mandor did, a spike from a pillar nearby fell onto one of the DrG's wings, causing it to scream in pain as Mandor rushed in and pushed the DrG off the roof, which caused it to fall onto a spike, impaling it and killing the DrG. Mandor was smart about it and threw his Demon Blade at a floating spike that would be right above where the DrG would land onto the roof, and it landed on its wing so the DrG couldn't fly to avoid getting impaled by the spike.

Mandor used his battle intelligence to survive this time, but next time he might not be able to get by so easily, so he used his portal gun to get home and succeed this time. Mandor exits the portal, and he sees Gren sitting down, just chilling after he finally finished the iron wall surrounding the base, which took him a day. Mandor spoke and said, ''"That is a really good wall! How long did it take?", "Oh, it took about a day."'' Grenkor said, Mandor then walked inside the base, where he went to the workshop room he made a couple days ago for future projects. Mandor then grabbed a hammer he stole from a workshop along with a furnace, anvil, and a forge and started extracting the pure essence from a Dormite ore and put it into a glass bottle to store it for now for when he needed to for the Multi Dimensional Portal Gun, but for now he could make MAAANY useful things out of Dormite ore among other resources, such as a Dormite Saber, which could cut through any material to exist, like butter, ignoring the capability of the object or entity's durability, as once it cuts into the object or entity's surface, it will immediately delete any quark or lepton in front of it, hence it can cut through any object, entity, or surface.

Mandor decides to make that along with the armor that would work alongside the Dormite Saber, which is able to tank durability ignoring attacks like nothing down to the quark/lepton level, and is generally used by Demon Soldiers for armor. Dormite Armor can also absorb any type of energy upon impact with the armor and turn it into an energy source for itself, and once it reaches 100% charge, it will amplify the user's attacks 20 fold. Mandor once heard a story from a roaming traveler who roamed hell and saw a Demon Soldier take a full-on nuclear bomb while wearing said armor and leave with no scratches. But there is a downside to this armor, and it takes ANY energy, which would include stamina, so wearing this armor while maintaining 100% is very hard for Demon Soldiers, but Mandor is no Demon and has really good stamina. He can only maintain 100% for 10 minutes, while the average Demon Soldier can hold it for about 30.

If Mandor wears the armor for too long, it could kill him since it would keep draining stamina even after Mandor passes out from exhaustion. Mandor finishes the armor and saber after an hour of working on it, and he wears it for the first time. He immediately feels his stamina start to drain when wearing the armor, but it takes his stamina pretty slowly, and the armor begins charging up. Mandor walks out of the workshop room in the base and shows the armor to Gren, who is surprised by this: ''"YOU ACTUALLY MANAGED TO DO IT!", "I'm a smart man, what can I say?"''. Gren then remembers something and says, ''"Oh yeah. Hey Mandor?", "Yeah, what is it Gren?", "Well, I wanted to ask you about your past before this whole hell ordeal.", "...Do you want some Dormite armor?", "Mandor I asked you a question: Can you please give me an answer?", "I said, Do you want the armor or not?", "Mandor! I asked you a damn question. Please give me an answer."''

''"Can we please not talk about it right now?" , "You asked me about my past, so let me ask about yo-", "I SAID, CAN WE NOT TALK ABOUT IT RIGHT NOW!?"'' Mandor said in anger, ''"O-Okay, Mandor just calm down."'' Gren said. Mandor then calms down a bit after and decides he's done interacting for today as he went through enough stress trying to get the Dormite resources and getting away with his life. ''"That damned Giant doesn't realize the things I've done for him. I risked my damn life for him so we can kill Hades and escape hell."; "That damned Zeus trapping me here in the first place."; "DAMN HADES HUNTING ME DOWN!"'' Mandor, in frustration, hits a nearby wall completely shattering it into pieces: ''"I will kill them.. I WILL KILL THEM AL-", "Wait no.. I don't want to kill them.. not again.. No, not that again. I don't want to be like that again."''

Mandor then starts tearing up and starts crying in his room. ''"Yeah, I just need to take his soul, thats all... He'll live.."''. Mandor then takes the armor off and looks at his notebook so he can take to the next step of his plan, which is to obtain Hades soul as the final resource for the Multi Dimensional Portal Gun, but Mandor realizes the only way Mandor can take Hades soul is by killing him since no Soul Extractor can extract Hades soul. Mandor then starts chuckling, then it turns into laughter: ''"IT ALWAYS COMES BACK TO MURDER.. HAHA.. IT'S ALWAYS KILLING."'' Mandor goes to bed in a sad state since he knows killing Hades is the only way to escape hell. '''Meanwhile, with Grenkor'''. ''"I'll figure out your past eventually Mandor; I'm just so curious."'' Grenkor gets up, walks to his room, and also goes to bed.
