Thor's brow jumped at the sight. His father had once crushed Mjolnir, but at the time, he'd just thought his father was incredibly strong.
Yet, he hadn't expected his elder sister, another Skyfather Level being, could do the same.
Thinking back to Thanos thrashing the three of them, if he'd thrown Mjolnir at him, it might have been crushed right then and there.
He was holding Stormbreaker, wasn't he? It was snatched away and he almost got killed.
In other words, his prized Mjolnir was completely useless in front of a Skyfather Level big shot.
And this wasn't even Hela at her strongest. She hadn't even returned to Asgard yet, and had just been suppressed for many years.
This event was more shocking than the three of them losing to Thanos together.
At least back then, when they fought Thanos, they weren't completely helpless. They even managed to trade blows for a while, right?
"Father, can Mjolnir still be restored?" Thor asked, holding up his hammer.
Although Mjolnir hadn't been crushed yet, he was already considering how to repair it in the future.
"There's no way, at least as far as I know," Odin replied.
"I understand now why I didn't have a hammer when I fought Hulk in the future. The hammer might have been destroyed by then," Thor said. "But the question is, when I fought Thanos in the future, my hammer was fixed again. Was it the Dwarves' technology?"
Thor thought of the Dwarves, a race even bigger than giants.
"If it can be repaired, then they're the only ones who could do it!" Odin thought for a moment and then said.
He couldn't figure out what was going on either. As far as he knew, Mjolnir was forged as a single piece, meaning it couldn't be repaired if it was broken like this.
It's not that they couldn't forge a hammer, but the runes and magical patterns within, the energy they contained, couldn't be restored.
And in this world, if anyone had the skill, it would probably be the Dwarves.
But the question was, could the Dwarves really do it?
"Or there's another possibility, the Time Stone!" Thor said. "Doesn't the Time Stone reverse time? That seems like a viable solution!"
Odin nodded approvingly. His son, finally using his brain.
Meanwhile, the people at S.H.I.E.L.D. were in a state of extreme shock.
A Skyfather Level expert was truly terrifying.
They had previously joked that the Skyfather Level big shots that Lin Feng had mentioned, well, Dormammu, who had only appeared briefly, was one thing, but the others didn't seem that strong.
It all depended on Thanos thrashing the Avengers' three big shots to maintain some semblance of dignity.
Now, things were even worse. Another one, Hela, had appeared and crushed Mjolnir with one hand.
They really knew how powerful Mjolnir was. Didn't they see Thor easily defeat Surtur, the Fire Giant, using Mjolnir before?
It wasn't that Mjolnir was too weak; it was just that Hela was too terrifying.
She effortlessly displayed crushing combat power, completely eclipsing Thor, one of the Avengers' two top-tier fighters.
At this moment, comparing Hela, the Goddess of Death, who was at the same level, with Odin, the Skyfather, and then comparing her to the Ancient One, who was casually killed, they truly agreed with Lin Feng's words.
The way they died was really too hasty.
It was clear that Hela, the Goddess of Death, wasn't even the strongest among the Skyfather Level beings; otherwise, how could she have been sealed by Odin until now?
But even so, she could effortlessly display such terrifying combat power.
Skyfather Level beings are almost invincible to those below that level, unless they choose to die, like the Ancient One who was in a hurry to get off work, or something. Otherwise, there's simply no other way to defeat them.
Thor and Loki in the image both felt a threat of death. Loki immediately shouted to Heimdall above, "Take us back!"
At this moment, Thor realized something was wrong. If the battlefield was on Earth, they still had a chance, and Hela couldn't go to Asgard. But now, it was too late.
He remembered his father saying that in Asgard, her power would be endless.
But there was nothing he could do to stop it, because the Bifrost had already activated. The two of them were carried by the Bifrost's power, rapidly speeding towards Asgard.
However, behind them, Hela, the Goddess of Death, was chasing after them at an astonishing speed.
This was the first time they had encountered such a situation. Previously, when they escaped using the Bifrost, nothing like this had ever happened.
During this process, they tried to attack Hela, but it was useless. They were no match for her at all. Instead, Hela swiftly defeated them. Even the two brothers working together were no match for her.
The final result was Hela, Goddess of Death, returning to Asgard, while Thor and Loki were scattered deep into the universe.
The screen went black at this point, with no further content. But everyone felt their scalps tingle. They had only fought briefly, yet Hela's terrifying power was on full display.
Terror, horror, brutality, like a deep-sea monster.
Thor finally understood what his father had been suppressing all these years, at the cost of his own life.
He didn't have much time left. In a few years, he would have to face such an almost invincible being, with no way to stop her.
What would he do in the future? What about Asgard? Was he destined to accept the fate of ascending to the throne in a small fishing village?
The people within S.H.I.E.L.D. were equally silent. Hela's threat to Earth was far greater than that of Odin, Thor, or Loki.
Thor was powerful, but he had no ambition. And what about Loki?
He has ambition, but not the strength to match.
And Hela, Goddess of Death, is like a power-up version of both of them combined.
She not only possesses strength far surpassing Thor, but also has ambition that even Loki can't match.
From Odin's previous words, and the vague mentions in Lin Feng's diary, it's clear that Hela, Goddess of Death, is an ambitious queen.
Almost a carbon copy of Odin in his ambitious youth.
But Odin was content with his current territory; the Nine Realms alone satisfied him, even though there were many places not completely conquered. For example, the Frost Giants, Fire Giants, Earth humans, and Dark Elves, all of whom outwardly submitted but secretly disobeyed.
But Hela was different; it wasn't enough for her.
Odin's life stages can also be seen through his two children.
Hela, Goddess of Death, was born in the first half of his life, and was tyrannical, cruel, and powerful. Thor was born in the second half of his life, and he was kind, powerful, and righteous, the kind of Asgardian king Odin envisioned.
Loki gave everyone the impression of a weakened version of Odin, as Hela described him. He discovered the tip of the iceberg of Odin's true face in his early years: cruel, tyrannical, and regarding human life as insignificant.
Previously, everyone was wary of Asgard. After all, the peace between Earth and Asgard was built on Odin's lack of desire to invade Earth. But what if he did?
But now, from this video, it seems that Odin never turned back into that cruel, war-loving iron-blooded emperor until his death. Not bad.
The good news is that Odin didn't revert to being an iron-blooded emperor. The bad news is that another Goddess of Death, Hela, who was even more ambitious than Odin, emerged.
"I think I know why Thor became a slave. I think he fell to a planet in some universe here!" Tony Stark said. "This can also echo the later Thor with short hair. It turns out that the reason Thor cut off his proud hair was because of this!"
Everyone nodded. This was a more reliable guess. Judging from the change in hair, this was probably the scene before Thor became a slave.
He should have fallen to a certain planet and been controlled.
"I have to say, the physical fitness of these gods is really a bit outrageous!" Tony Stark exclaimed.
Thor and Loki had plummeted from the deep reaches of space, even from the void of the universe, and landed on a planet. If it had been anyone else, they would have been dead many times over in that process.
But both Thor and Loki survived remarkably well.
Humans, even someone as outstanding as Captain Rogers or Spider-Man Peter Parker, would die in a similar situation.
After all, Earthlings weren't a cosmic-level civilization, lacking the necessary modifications.
They'd been a race of gods for hundreds of thousands of years, while humans were just a bunch of little monkeys who'd only evolved for tens of thousands of years. How could they compare?
"Sigh, Odin should have exiled Hela to China back then. Then, he would have gained a benevolent Hela, aiming to liberate the entire universe, instead of the current tyrannical Goddess of Death," Hawkeye Barton sighed.
The root of the problem was Hela's dissatisfaction with the Nine Realms and her desire to expand further. But Odin's single decision led to two vastly different outcomes.
Hela on the two timelines went to two extremes.
One was the hope of countless lives in the universe, Hela the Liberator of infinite planets.
The other was the reaper of countless lives in the universe, the mistress of the Death Realm, the merciless Hela, Goddess of Death.
Such an outcome was truly lamentable.
