Chapter 141 - Quicksilver from the Other X-Men Is Truly Amazing

Although the surrounding environment had been slowed down to an extreme, Quicksilver's speed looked even faster in contrast—truly incredible.

The camera immediately followed Pietro as he ran, his astonishing speed making the buildings blur and retreat so quickly that they were almost unrecognizable.

He arrived at the school just before the explosion, which should have been lightning-fast. Yet in his perspective, it seemed almost frozen in time.

Quicksilver even had the time to push aside a piece of shrapnel that flew from the blast. He stretched, assumed a ready stance, and began rescuing people.

First, he saved a man with his mouth wide open, moving so fast it seemed impossible to the naked eye.

What followed was a breathtaking slow-motion spectacle: glasses flying, iron fragments scattering—everything around the explosion seemed frozen.

This was a rare chance to witness an explosion in such extreme slow motion. Normally, these moments happen in an instant, over before anyone can appreciate them.

And this explosion likely wouldn't last even a second.

The blast might spread throughout the school in mere seconds—but Quicksilver rescued everyone in that time.

He didn't save people before the bomb went off—he saved them after it had exploded.

From the moment the blast occurred to preventing fatalities, his speed was staggering.

"Hawkeye Barton, exaggerating as always, said in shock, 'I think I might actually believe the Flash could save tens of thousands from a nuclear blast. Seeing the world from a speedster's perspective… it's like this.'"

"Quicksilver may not reach the Flash's speed, but being able to save an entire school in a split second… then the Flash saving tens of thousands is no surprise," Natasha remarked. "So this is what it's like when a speedster reaches their peak? Even the flapping of a bee's wings becomes slow motion. Insane."

"Brother, your speed really doesn't compare to his!" Wanda said. "Lin Feng was right—you're way slower. If you were that Quicksilver, you wouldn't have been taken out by a machine gun like that!"

Pietro felt a pang of humility. He had been defiant before, but after seeing this, he had to admit it—he was indeed slower. Big "Respect" written all over.

He had never calculated the exact speed, but saving everyone in such a short time spoke volumes.

If he had that speed, he could've saved Hawkeye and the kid, avoiding death entirely.

If one chooses to block a weapon with their body, it's partly heroism and partly the fact that they're simply not fast enough.

From Quicksilver's perspective, the explosion's flames crawled slowly, and he had time to rescue people at the last possible moment.

He even had time for playful gestures—fixing someone's hair, drinking their leftover soda, rescuing a dog.

Unimaginable speed.

At the end, he didn't look back at the explosion. He simply led everyone out of danger.

Meanwhile, another version of him saved the others, while those on a car arrived too late, stunned at the ruined Xaviers' School for Gifted Youngsters.

Compared to his parallel self, he felt inferior. With that speed, perhaps he could have even challenged Thanos.

"But brother, since you're the same person from another timeline, if he can reach that speed, you probably have the potential too. You just need time to develop it," Wanda comforted.

"Yes, he's another version of me. That doesn't mean I can't achieve it too. I just haven't yet," Pietro admitted.

"Anyway, when you do things, at least consider whether I'll cry. You're a superhero now, but what about me?" Wanda complained.

"Alright, alright! I'll never do anything that stupid again," Pietro pleaded, knowing he was in the wrong. He wouldn't argue with his sister now.

Wanda rolled her eyes but didn't continue.

Meanwhile, back at his own base, Lin Feng finished recording today's diary entry and put the journal away.

Today, he had awakened the ability to fly—an essential step, showing he had surpassed the limits of the basic template of his homeland's design.

The only problem: he got hungry too easily.

Especially when flying or fighting, his energy consumption was immense. He never imagined he'd reach a point where even three meals a day weren't enough.

Every meal was a feast, yet it still wasn't sufficient.

According to energy conservation, it made sense—a person expending more energy needs more intake—but why didn't other superheroes seem to have this problem?

They seemed like perpetual motion machines, enduring countless battles without needing much sustenance—almost zombie-like in their endurance.

Was the issue with him, or with the superheroes?

Moreover, he wasn't a Superman template, so he couldn't recharge by basking in the sun.

This problem needed solving. With his current wealth, feeding himself was easy, but if every day were spent eating, nothing else would get done.

It wasn't urgent yet, but as he grew stronger, his appetite would only increase.

It felt like his body was undergoing some transformation, requiring massive energy.

After a moment of thought, Lin Feng had an idea.
