Chapter 72 - Old Man Odin, Did You Mess Up?

At the same time, Odin, the Allfather, worried about his daughter's safety, also noticed Xu Wenwu on Earth, who possessed the power of the Ten Rings. Fearing that Xu Wenwu's power could even threaten Asgard's rule, he decided to launch an expedition to Earth.

And in this process, Hela, the Goddess of Death, gradually began to learn China's Qi, learning benevolence and peace, slowly transforming into a Proletarian Warrior.

Having learned the way of peace, Hela decided to cause trouble for her father, wanting to completely decide her own path. She had to utterly defeat her father.

So, she went to find Xu Wenwu, intending to join forces with him to fight against the Asgardian army.

During this confrontation, Odin appeared. Seeing that his daughter was still alive and well, Odin was clearly very happy. He said, "My dear daughter, when you disappeared from Heimdall's sight, we prepared for the worst. Embrace me, daughter. I came all this way to avenge you!"

"Really? Or is it for your dazzling Ten Rings?" Hela saw through her father's hypocritical purpose at a glance.

"These Ten Rings do not belong to this brute. Join us, and we will bring Earth under our protection!" Odin said directly and without any courtesy.

"No!" Hela said without hesitation.

"No? You dare defy me?" Odin said in disbelief, as if he couldn't imagine how his obedient daughter had become like this.

"Leave, and never return!" Hela stated.

"I am your father, and your king! You will listen to me!" Odin roared in anger.

Clearly, this father and daughter weren't seeing eye to eye. After being influenced by traditional Chinese culture, Hela had become a great Liberation warrior.

She joined forces with Xu Wenwu and directly engaged in battle with Odin.

Objectively speaking, although they were both Skyfather Level, Hela's power had greatly diminished after losing her Crown; she had nearly lost her divine power as well.

And without a doubt, as the god-king of the Asgardian Gods, the father of Asgard, Odin possessed certain rights over the Asgardian Gods, even the ability to easily strip away the powers of a powerful god like Hela, the Goddess of Death, and Thor.

What's known as "words become law" probably wouldn't be too far off.

Facing the combined might of the two strong individuals, Odin finally fell into a disadvantage and was defeated. Just as Hela, the Goddess of Death, extended a hand in peace, attempting to persuade her father, Odin revealed the treacherous side of a ruthless ruler. He seized the opportunity to ambush Hela, grabbing her by the neck with a burst of power that even sent Xu Wenwu flying.

He then declared triumphantly, "When would my daughter ever miss an opportunity to kill?"

"Gods who disregard life shouldn't control death!"

Hela struggled to speak. It was at this moment that she truly understood the deeper meaning of her father's words. The difference was that she truly understood, whereas Odin, the god-king at the peak of his power, was far less wise than he would later become, and far more arrogant.

After she finished speaking, a similar scene unfolded. The Crown, originally belonging to Hela, the Goddess of Death, sensing her merciful heart, suddenly flew and landed on her head.

The crown that she could not pick up previously, now automatically flew onto her head.

The scene was almost identical to Thor regaining his power as the God of Thunder.

Only this time, the Goddess of Death, Hela, donned in the Crown and Royal Robes, transformed from a black and green color scheme to a shimmering silver, appearing incredibly magnificent.

At this moment, Hela, the Goddess of Death, had reclaimed her deathly divine power, returning to her peak state, with her strength far exceeding that of an ordinary Skyfather Level being.

Even the final blow from Odin, the Allfather, was casually blocked by her. She even stripped Odin of the authority over his Scepter.

She slowly descended in front of Odin. By now, Odin had also lost his Crown. He stared at his daughter, Hela, and said, "I sent you here to learn and grow. In the end, you've far exceeded my expectations. You've surpassed me. I'll give you the throne if that's what you want!"

Facing such a reward from her old father, Hela, the Goddess of Death, only sneered. "I can only destroy your empire after I ascend the throne. That will take time, maybe forever. But once I'm done, the Nine Realms will be free, and soon, the universe will follow."

At this point, Hela no longer saw conquest as her sole life goal. For her, she had found a goal even greater than conquest: Liberation.

Liberating the enslaved people of the Nine Realms. No, it should be said that liberating the enslaved people of the Nine Realms was only a small part of this great cause of liberation. Her true goal was the entire universe.

She knew how many forces in the universe were ruled by tyrants. Compared to them, the Nine Realms under Odin's rule were actually not that bad.

Now, Hela was going to devote her entire life's energy to this endless cause of liberation.

"What's gotten into you, Odin? My great executioner?" Odin didn't understand his daughter anymore. It was as if their thoughts were on completely different planes.

"I gave peace a chance!" Hela just smiled slightly, then looked at Xu Wenwu.

Following this, there was another burst of magnetic narration.

\n\n

"On that ancient battlefield, a man and a woman, a mortal and a goddess, the Ten Rings and the armies of Asgard, formed an alliance. They would build an empire, an empire that spanned the entire universe, an empire not of conquerors, but of liberators. These liberators' campaigns across the cosmos will prove that even the darkest hearts will eventually seek peace!"

\n\n

The scene ended, leaving only Lin Feng's吐槽 (tucao - a form of online commentary, often sarcastic or critical) comments.

\n\n

[This feeling of seeing the death goddess and Shang-Chi (referring to Xu Wenwu) united is too weird. Probably no one would have imagined that, on a certain timeline, the death goddess Hela would actually become a liberator. I have to say, my China is still the best. This is equivalent to a reformed prisoner becoming a staunch Proletarian Warrior. Old man Odin, you miscalculated, didn't you? You didn't expect you'd have a day you'd fail, did you? You were trying to act so profound!]

\n\n

The others looked at each other, and only then did they finally understand what Lin Feng meant by Odin's downfall.

\n\n

It was the same test for everyone. Thor achieved Odin's goal, regaining the power of Thor, while the death goddess Hela was even more impressive, surpassing Odin.
