Chapter 51 - Will the Timeline Change?

Kingpin, as the emperor of New York's underworld empire, had done many evil deeds, but his existence objectively restrained those gangs.

Even the worst order is still order!

Without order, ordinary people would only suffer more!

Although Lin Feng didn't have the heroic spirit of a superhero who considered the world his responsibility, he wouldn't ignore the lives of ordinary people.

"I can control it!" Paddy Eye said.

He had thought about taking over before, but Kingpin was too terrifying. Whether it was his schemes, his mind, or his personal strength, he was far superior to Paddy Eye, forcing him to submit and completely surrender to Kingpin.

Now it was just a matter of serving another person!

"Then you control things, don't let your people make trouble!" Lin Feng said.

"Don't worry, Kingpin rarely shows his face. I handle most things personally, so I can handle them. They won't realize Kingpin is dead!" Paddy Eye said quickly.

"That's good. Clean up this mess, it's a mess!" Lin Feng nodded.

He had officially taken over Paddy Eye's forces. He didn't need to manage them himself; he could be a hands-off boss.

When he returned to the training room in New York, it was already late at night. Fortunately, there wasn't anyone nearby, so there wasn't much damage. He had a bit of a headache and asked Paddy Eye to find some people to deal with the corpses scattered everywhere. He also had him find people to repair the doors and windows overnight.

Lin Feng's first order, and Paddy Eye naturally didn't dare to slack off.

Lin Feng went back to his home, changed his clothes, took a shower, and sat at his desk to start writing in his diary for the day.

"As they say, every action leaves a trace. I didn't expect Paddy Eye to find me. I had to kill Kingpin myself. I wonder if this will cause any changes to the timeline. After all, this guy is a model worker among supervillains. Let me think, how many arch-enemies does he have? Daredevil, Spider-Man, Punisher, Fantastic Four, and X-Men. Now that I've taken him out early, will there be any consequences?"

Undoubtedly, Lin Feng's updated diary quickly alerted the other diary holders.

"What? Kingpin is dead?"

Spider-Gwen, who had just saved a black mother and child from a robber, was sitting on the rooftop of a building, staring at the updated information in her diary, utterly bewildered.

Ever since she started her vigilante career, she had been constantly at odds with Kingpin. Because if you traced the roots of forty percent of the crimes in America, you'd find that the person behind them was none other than Kingpin.

He controlled such a vast underground empire that he was known as the underground emperor of New York.

Even seemingly ordinary robberies on the street could be traced back to Kingpin.

In such a situation, she had clashed with Kingpin, directly or indirectly, countless times.

She had fought his gang numerous times and disrupted many of his businesses. She knew very well that she had become a thorn in Kingpin's side.

But she was also acutely aware of the terrifying nature of Kingpin, the emperor of the underworld.

She had been ambushed by Kingpin several times, and on one occasion, she nearly died, thankfully saved by Homelander.

Kingpin was the most formidable opponent she'd encountered so far. Every time a crime involved him, she had to be extremely cautious. She only possessed spider-like superpowers; she wasn't truly invincible.

And now she was told that Kingpin was dead?

A casual sentence in the diary, but for Gwen, it was a tremendous shock. She felt a sense of emptiness, as if a goal she'd pursued for years had been accomplished by someone else.

However, she also knew that Kingpin's death was a good thing.

After all, she wasn't one of those superheroes who adhered to a strict no-kill rule just to satisfy their own sense of procedural justice. Procedural justice was important, but so was the justice that resulted.

S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel and Tony Stark also quickly arrived on the scene. Tony Stark, in particular, had just been at a party and now had to attend a related meeting.

"He better have something important to record!" Tony Stark said fiercely, as he had just been eyeing a cover girl at the party.

The life of the rich was just that boring and tedious.

Then he saw the contents of Jarvis's diary, projected from his home. After seeing the content, he was slightly stunned: "Kingpin, who is that?"

In his social circle, he might not encounter Kingpin in his entire life, nor would he have any business dealings with him, even though the weapons used by Kingpin's men might be products of Stark Industries.

But he relied purely on technology and would not have any dealings with organized crime.

"Kingpin, the underground emperor of New York, controls a vast underground criminal empire!"

Nick Fury promptly provided the explanation.

He rubbed his forehead, a little headache. He knew Kingpin very well. Although S.H.I.E.L.D. usually dealt with supernatural events, ordinary gangs were not their concern. Otherwise, S.H.I.E.L.D. expanding tenfold wouldn't be enough.

But Kingpin was different. As the underground emperor of New York, his scale had grown to the point where it could attract S.H.I.E.L.D.'s attention.

S.H.I.E.L.D.'s core purpose was to maintain order and stability on the surface, and in his view, Kingpin's existence served to restrain those gangs effectively, preventing them from acting wantonly and trying to control their influence in the underworld, where ordinary people wouldn't feel it.

Now that Kingpin had been killed by Lin Feng, it was easy to imagine the chaos that would follow. Countless gangs would run wild like untamed horses, and it would probably take a period of turmoil before a new underground emperor could be chosen, and order could be restored.

This situation was also a headache for Nick Fury.

"So, he was playing the hero and his identity was discovered?" Tony Stark immediately understood.

It was probably that unfortunate guy, Kingpin, who had discovered Lin Feng's identity, and then Lin Feng had directly taken him out.

From this perspective, Kingpin was really just unlucky.

Lin Feng's strength, others might not know, but he was very clear on it. Basically, he was going further and further down the path of not being human.

This Kingpin, when all was said and done, was just a gang leader. How powerful could he be? He couldn't possibly compare to Lin Feng.

"But he has so many supervillains as his nemesis, he's quite something!"

Black Widow Natasha spoke.

Nick Fury looked at the names of the superheroes Lin Feng had listed and fell into thought.
