In an instant, Doctor Strange was killed by Dormammu.
Strange activated a magical shield to try and block the attack, but it was utterly useless. Under Dormammu's overwhelming power, any defense was meaningless.
"Just like that? Dead?" Tony Stark watched Doctor Strange be instantly blasted to smithereens, disbelief flooding his mind. He had been anticipating a counterattack from Doctor Strange, hoping to witness the feat Lin Feng had written about in his diary – the act of forcing back the Dark Dimension lord, Dormammu. But now? He was just spat out and killed.
And this was supposed to be the Protagonist in Lin Feng's words. What about the significance of the Protagonist?
Was the Dark Dimension lord Dormammu really this terrifying?
However, at this moment, a message from Lin Feng suddenly floated through the diary.

And the Doctor Strange in the scene just glanced at the timestamp left by the Time Stone on his wrist, then spoke to Dormammu again, "Dormammu, I've come to bargain!"
Everyone was stunned. What was going on? How did Doctor Strange reappear and repeat the same words? This didn't make any sense at all.
Facing the suddenly appearing Doctor Strange, Dormammu said coldly, "You are here… to die. Your world, now belongs to me!"
But he immediately felt something was wrong because he realized he seemed to have said those words before.
"What's happening? Is this an illusion?"
Dormammu spoke incredulously. With his current power, a Celestial Level being merged with the Dark Dimension, how could he be hallucinating? No one in the world could cast illusions on him, not even the annoying human sorceress, the Ancient One.
"No, this is reality!" Doctor Strange said calmly. "Very well!"
Dormammu was enraged and immediately killed Doctor Strange again, another instant kill. The difference in their power was simply too great.
Not to mention Doctor Strange, even the Sorcerer Supreme, the Ancient One, wouldn't be a match for him in the Dark Dimension.
But as soon as he killed Doctor Strange, he found another identical Doctor Strange drifting down from above.
"Dormammu, I'm here to make a deal!"
This Doctor Strange also spoke loudly.
"I think I understand a bit about what the thousand and one ways to die are all about!" Tony Stark couldn't help but say.
Everyone also suddenly understood, but the scene was still terrifying.
"You... what exactly is going on?" Dormammu was also shocked. He finally realized something was wrong. He had killed Doctor Strange so many times, but every time he finished killing him, an identical one would appear, and he couldn't kill them all.

Dormammu was furious. His giant palm could even obliterate an entire planet.
"No!" Doctor Strange barely finished speaking before Dormammu slapped him to death.
