Chapter 30 - CHAPTER 29

Morning & Shopping ✨

The sun filtered gently through the curtains when Tracy stirred. She rubbed her eyes and stretched. Mirabel was already up, brushing her teeth.

"So," Tracy asked with a sleepy yawn, "what next? I mean… after this party?"

Mirabel rinsed her mouth and smirked. "Hmm. Once all this party drama is over, we're going to Las Vegas."

Tracy blinked. "We?"

"Of course," Mirabel teased. "I can't leave my best friend behind. I already booked two tickets for us."

Tracy gasped. "But… my passport. It's still at that house."

"We're going there today so you can grab it," Mirabel assured her.

"What about our outfits?"

"We still have time. First, breakfast—because I'm starving. Then we'll go shopping with Flora."

"Deal," Tracy grinned.

After showering, both dressed casually and went downstairs.

"Good morning, Grandpa," Mirabel said brightly, hugging Roshan.

"Morning, sweetheart." He kissed her forehead with a smile.

"Good morning, bro," she added with mock seriousness.

Mike spread his arms for a hug, but Mirabel bypassed him and hugged Flora instead. "Morning, Flora."

"Morning, dear," Flora chuckled softly.

Mike, not giving up, grabbed Mirabel into a hug. "I'm really sorry I didn't tell Grandpa anything. We only came here for a meeting, then he invited us to the party."

Mirabel narrowed her eyes. "Hmm. I'll forgive you… only if you give me your ATM card for shopping."

Mike groaned, remembering the last time when she almost drained half his account.

"Fine," he sighed, pulling out a card. "This one has two million dollars. I hope that's enough."

Mirabel grinned, snatching it. "More than enough. Now I forgive you. What's the pin?"

"1349."

"1349. Got it." She winked.

At the dining table, Mirabel sat beside Tracy, and they enjoyed a hearty breakfast.

"Grandpa," she said, dabbing her lips, "we'll be going shopping now."

"I'll get you something," Roshan offered.

"No need," Mirabel smirked. "Brother already gave me."

"Hmm. Don't be late then," Roshan said with a chuckle.

"Promise."

Shopping Spree ✨

Mirabel took the driver's seat of her sleek car, Tracy beside her and Flora in the back.

"So, where to first?" Tracy asked.

"Hair salon. My hair's way too long—I'm cutting and dyeing it today."

Tracy nodded eagerly.

At the salon, the three transformed. Mirabel cut her hair to mid-back length and dyed it a striking blend of pink and white. Tracy trimmed her ends and dyed her hair a fiery red, while Flora softened her look with a blonde trim.

From there, Mirabel drove straight to the mall. They shopped until their arms ached, their laughter echoing as they tried on endless outfits and accessories. By the time the bags filled the limo trunk, the two million had been well spent.

Two hours before the party, they returned to the villa. After fresh baths, the girls dressed.

Mirabel wore a Chanel white short gardenia gown paired with a Bulgari Serpenti Viper white-gold necklace and matching white heels.

Tracy dazzled in a Dior 22FW Dioramour red short gown, accented by a David Webb emerald-and-diamond necklace with red heels that matched her hair.

Flora, radiant even in simplicity, chose a Celine black mini dress with sparkling Cinderella heels, white floral hoop earrings, and a diamond pendant.

The men dressed sharply too.

Roshan wore a tailored blue suit with a crisp plain shirt and polished black shoes.

Mike styled himself in a MISBITV 1997 black jacket with its jacquard logo, paired with black straight jeans and sneakers to match Flora's elegance.

Pre-Party Toast ✨

Before leaving, Tracy came downstairs first. Mirabel stopped her for a quick photo and posted it on Instagram. It had been one month and two weeks since her last update—her 31 million followers erupted instantly with likes and comments.

In the limo, Mirabel spotted two bottles of champagne. She poured into five glasses—four with champagne, one with juice for Flora.

"To tonight," Mirabel said.

"To tonight," they all echoed, clinking glasses.

They drank, laughter filling the limo, until it pulled smoothly to a stop.

The gates swung open.

They had arrived at Lucian's mansion.

Lucian POV ✨

Lucian sat in his room, restless. He paced back and forth, his jaw clenched, his thoughts heavy.

Will she leave me?

The fear gnawed at him.

What do I do? Should I just confess?

"Ahh," he groaned, dragging a hand through his hair. His chest burned with a frustration he couldn't shake. Finally, exhausted, he collapsed on the bed, forcing himself to calm down, though his mind never stopped racing.

Sleep came reluctantly.

Because deep down, Lucian knew—tonight would change everything.
