"I had always ended every conflict with war, and Colton had been the one to fight those wars. I drove him far from the kingdom because I feared what he would do once he decided to retaliate, but he had always been quite age observant. With time, I started to realize how well everything was.
I could see the utter shock on their faces and the way they shifted their gaze, looking around confused. I continued speaking without bothering to stop and look at them for a moment. All I wanted to do at that moment was to speak and tell them what I had in mind.
"You don't know how cruel I can be. I have no care about any of you and aren't concerned about this useless kingdom. I just want to be the king and rule over this land until my successor takes over.You have no idea how cruel I can be to anyone who dares to stand against me," I chuckled as they gasped.
