Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

When they arrived at the mansion built in a remote location, black smoke was rising from there. As expected of a place where a pheromone party was held, most of the people who rushed out were completely naked and wearing only thin underwear or covering their private parts with whatever cloth they could find. Those who were dressed properly were clearly security guards or employees. The contrast was so ridiculous that it was ridiculous, but the firefighters focused on their work with serious faces.

It was fortunate that they were still conscious and ran out like this. Leaving behind the firefighters who were preparing to spray water in teams, the other team was busy preparing their equipment and preparing to enter.

"Are there a lot of people inside?"

The man who seemed to be a butler answered with a pale face when the team leader asked.

"I, I don't know. I think there are quite a few..."

The red-blond man asked indifferently as he spoke hesitantly.

"I guess we should just look at the general public, right?"

"Dane, don't discriminate even if you're an extreme alpha, and if you're inside, save us!"

At the team leader's shout, Dane clicked his tongue briefly and put on his helmet before going inside the mansion. The team leader, who was watching his back, muttered with a frown.

"Surely that kid wouldn't intentionally not save us, right?"

"Surely not, even if he says that, he'll do everything he needs to do."

The man who had been smiling and accepting the words added bitterly.

"While working."

With those words, a group of firefighters quickly ran forward. The employees looked at them running in the opposite direction of the people escaping in a hurry with pity.

An ominous creaking sound echoed here and there.

The sound of hot wood cracking and the sound of plaster pieces falling from the ceiling hitting the floor were intertwined, compressing the space. The fire that started inside the building quickly spread throughout the house. The flames that had been drawing strange patterns while burning the wallpaper soon climbed up the ceiling and stuck out their red tongues. The smoke stuck to the ceiling and rippled, as if a huge beast was breathing.

The firefighters who had been scattered here and there and opened the doors one by one urgently sent out the people who were still there whenever they saw them.

"Come out, come out now!"

One of the firefighters who had been searching inside shouted at the couple they had found in the living room. However, they did not respond properly. The couple, who had been heavily intoxicated, were lying on the couch, blinking their eyes in confusion. They seemed not to be able to properly perceive the current situation because they were not conscious. In the end, while they dragged them out with their colleagues, one of them ran ahead to the stairs.

"Hey, Dane! Wait a minute, let's go together!"

Someone else shouted from behind, but he ran up the stairs three at a time and arrived on the second floor in no time. The smoke was even thicker. He quickly opened the doors one by one and checked inside. In the meantime, several people passed him by and went out.

Whoosh, whoosh. Dane skillfully controlled his breathing, which had become rough due to the heat and tension that was rushing in. Then, as he tried to move forward again, a man who seemed to be a hired hand came running with a strong cough through the acrid smoke. "Are there people inside here?"

Dane quickly grabbed him and asked. The man, who had tried to escape while covering his nose and mouth with a handkerchief, answered with a cough, covered in sweat and soot.

"I, I don't know, I don't know. I brought you some alcohol in the corner room on the far right earlier..."

Dane did not listen any longer and jumped forward urgently. The man shouted hoarsely from behind him.

"The door is locked. We'll have to break it down!"

Instead of answering, Dane continued to run, pulling out the axe he had on his back and holding it in one hand. When he reached the end of the hallway and hurriedly looked around, he saw a small door in the thick smoke. If he hadn't heard the man's warning in advance, he would have passed it by, but it was hidden secretly, like a part of the wall. Dane quickly felt the wall to check the location of the door, then fixed his grip on the axe and struck it down.

With a loud thud, a piece of wood shattered and flew away. Behind him, the eerie sound of the fire spreading continued, and the sound of glass breaking could be heard intermittently. Dane ignored this and continued to strike the door. After a few thuds, he grabbed the shattered door and tore it open, putting his hand through the gaping hole and turning the handle. The door opened with a metallic clank, and Dane immediately ran inside.

"Evacuate quickly! There's a fire right now...."

He paused for a moment as he spoke. The scene that unfolded in the room was something that even the worn-out Dane Striker had never seen before, having had countless one-night stands and changing partners.

Two men who appeared to be twins were lying on the floor. Their naked bodies were foaming at the mouth and shaking so much that it was obvious at a glance. Their eyes were rolled back and they were staring into space, as if they were in shock. They were panting as if they would suffocate at any moment, but their genitals were erect and spurting out semen. Their groin area was soaking wet from having already ejaculated several times, but it was still swollen. If they kept doing that, it would not function. An omega's genitals were useless for reproduction anyway, but that didn't mean they couldn't be damaged. After all, a vital point is a vital point.

And yet, they still hadn't come to their senses and continued to poke their lower holes with their own hands. It was already red and red, and there were wounds and blood, but it didn't stop. It seemed like his head was soaked with something. Alcohol, drugs, or something.

Pheromones.

Only then did Dane see the face of the man sitting on the bed. To be exact, a dark blond man with his wrists tied to each pillar of the bed and his upper body leaning against the headboard.

The source of the pheromones, which were stronger than the acrid smoke, was that man. He was laughing as he poured pheromones on the omegas rolling around on the floor, panting. As if he had never seen anything more fun.

Dane stood there for a moment, watching the man's golden eyes.

The hot heat seemed to be coming right behind him. He could hear the sound of the house collapsing from all around. Dane thought, breathing heavily inside his helmet.

What the hell, that crazy bastard.

When he found out it was a pheromone party, I expected all sorts of chaos to break out. However, actually seeing this scene was unpleasant. He felt a little disappointed for a moment, thinking that he jumped into this fire pit to save those bastards, but it was not the time to be leisurely lost in doubt.

"Dane! Are you okay? Ouch!"

Ezra, who had followed late, shouted in surprise.

The other firefighters who had arrived one after another were the same. They seemed to have lost their minds for a moment at the bizarre sight they had never seen before.

Dane was the first to move. The twins lying on the floor couldnt even get up, let alone walk away on their own. Dane carried one of them first, and Ezra was about to carry the other twin out, when something unexpected happened.

The moment he suddenly smelled the strong scent of pheromones through the acrid smoke, the twins in his arms convulsed and twitched. Dane hurriedly grabbed him, but Ezra, who was off guard, lost sight of one of the twins he was holding.

"Oh, ah!"

Ezra shouted in surprise. He hit the floor with a loud noise, but he didn't show any sign of pain.

Ezra tried to grab him again, but he quickly shook him off and crawled along the floor in a hurry.

Towards the man who had just sprayed pheromones.

"Take it, get out first."

Dane, who had been standing awkwardly, threw one of the twins he was holding onto the other agent and tried to grab him in a hurry. However, the remaining one who was crawling on the floor started to squirm and struggle.

"No, no! Let go of this! Hurry up, hurry up, ...Put it in, shove it in!"

A fresh scream erupted. The sight of him shaking his butt and crying uncontrollably was painful even to the onlookers.

Ezra asked Dane with a disgusted expression.

"Why, why is he doing that? Was he weak?"

It was due to pheromones, but as a beta, Ezra would find it hard to understand. He might be able to smell the pheromone scent and know intellectually what kind of impact it has on alphas and omegas, but he wouldn't be able to experience it physically.

"That bastard..."

Dane muttered a curse under his breath. In a situation like this, the only reason for that man releasing his pheromones could be to deliberately insult him.

"Pull him out, even if you have to drag him. It's dangerous if we waste any more time."

Following Dane's words, Ezra and the other team members rushed forward. They hurriedly tried to grab the man, but the naked man only screamed and thrashed about, making it hard to get his cooperation.

"Wait! Hey! The house is collapsing!"

"We need to get out! Get a hold of yourself!"

"Grab his arm! Lift him up! No, not there!"

Despite three grown men trying to hold him, he didn't budge. Instead, he hit and shoved the firefighters, making the situation even more difficult.

The reason the man was rampaging like that was simple: pheromones.

And the one responsible for it was leisurely standing there, watching the chaos unfold. He was observing the spectacle like it was an amusing circus show.

He must have done this countless times. Watching others lose their minds and scream because of his pheromones must have been an entertaining sight for him. The fact that he kept doing this despite the situation showed that this man was clearly full of malice.

Whether it was something unique to extreme alphas or just something he and his associates enjoyed, it wasn't the time to dwell on that now.

"Hey."

Suddenly, a low voice came from behind, making Grayson pause. Someone had been standing behind him, hidden by the smoke he hadn't noticed.

Just as he reflexively turned around, the voice spoke again.

"Don't bother me.

The voice, which sounded like it was gritting teeth, stopped there. Unexpectedly, through the thick smoke, a surprisingly fresh scent wafted through.

...Huh?

Grayson froze for a moment. A fresh, soothing scent spread throughout the area, as though it was releasing the tension from his entire body.

Immediately after, the world before him seemed to turn completely black, and his body sank.

At the same time, the pheromones he had been releasing disappeared in an instant.

"I got him!"

Just in time, a team member who had been wrestling with the man lifted him. The man was still thrashing about, but it seemed like his strength had waned, and the team members quickly carried him off. Ezra hurried over to Dane.

"What happened? Why is he like this?"

Dane answered casually, his tone indifferent.

"He must have inhaled too much smoke."

"Ah."

Ezra quickly understood and nodded. They tried to lift the man again, but it wasn't easy. The blonde man was enormous, probably well over 2 meters tall. It was a long way to carry him out, and Ezra, already winded, was struggling. Dane, who was helping carry Grayson, suddenly spoke.

"Let's just throw him."

"What?"

Ezra looked at him, shocked. Dane continued nonchalantly.

"Let's throw him on the air mattress. If we try to drag him out, we'll all die."

That wasn't wrong. The fire had already spread throughout the house, and there was no guarantee they'd make it safely down the stairs.

"Let's go through the window."

After Ezra agreed, the two quickly rushed to the nearest room. When they opened the window and stuck their bodies out, they were fortunately spotted by the firefighters who were controlling the flames.

"Air mattress! We need a mattress!"

Dane shouted, throwing the heavy bundle they had brought with them over the window frame. Ezra, still concerned about Grayson's unconscious state, spoke with worry.

"We need to hook him up to oxygen. At least my mask..."

"Get in."

Before Ezra could cover Grayson's face with his own mask, Dane pushed Grayson out the window without hesitation.

"Wait, wait! We need to do this together!"

Ezra grabbed the limp body of Grayson, confirming that everything was set, then let go. Afterward, he and Dane escaped the burning house, and the fire continued to burn for about an hour before being extinguished.

When Grayson regained consciousness, he found himself lying on a hospital bed. He lay still for a moment, trying to recollect his memory. When he vaguely remembered the fire at the mansion, the door to the hospital room opened, and someone entered.

"Oh, you're awake."

As he sluggishly sat up, a nurse approached and checked his vital signs, continuing to speak.

"Is there anything uncomfortable? Apart from inhaling some smoke, everything else seems fine.

You can leave whenever you want. Do you have any questions? Anything bothering you?"

The kind inquiry left Grayson blinking in confusion.

He furrowed his brow and looked up at the nurse.

"How did I get here?"

"An ambulance brought you in. You lost consciousness, so we ran several tests, but nothing unusual came up. Looks like you were just really tired?"

The nurse smiled and added a joke, but Grayson's expression remained serious as he asked again.

"That's it? Wasn't there anything else?"

The nurse tilted his head, smiling. Without obtaining any further information, Grayson sent him out. Once alone, he began to think deeply.

What was that?

When he recalled the last memory before losing consciousness, he couldn't stay calm. Grayson jumped off the bed and began pacing around the room. He clearly remembered releasing an enormous amount of pheromones, enough to erase the pheromones of the omega twins. The air had been filled with his scent mixed with the pungent smoke.

But there had definitely been something else. A scent that wasn't his.

The scent that spread from behind him was something he knew all too well. A scent he had smelled a long time ago, but it wasn't just any ordinary omega's scent....

It was the pheromones of an extreme omega.

Grayson had smelled it before. It was the characteristic of the omega who had given birth to him. When he was young, Grayson had begged him to let him inhale the scent to his heart's content.

Unlike ordinary omegas, extreme omegas coula control their pheromones, hiding them completely or releasing them at will to throw extreme alphas into chaos, just like it had done to Grayson before.

There was one among the firefighters...

His heart began to race madly. He couldn't calm down as he quickly paced the hospital room, nervously running his hand through his hair.
