When Mo Li brought the girls to the Valkyrie Dormitory, they all gasped in astonishment.
Especially Kiana and Hu Tao—the two mischievous troublemakers darted about, poking here and there.
"Wow~ it's so huge~~"
"This is way too luxurious—ah!" Kiana suddenly cried out as she accidentally kicked a delicate-looking object across the floor.
"Boss! What is that? It even moves!"
Mo Li chuckled. "Don't be so jumpy."
He walked over, inspected the object, and, finding it unharmed, set it back down.
"That's a robot vacuum. It cleans the floors."
"Ohhh… scared me for a second…" Hu Tao patted her flat chest in relief, watching as the robot slowly rolled away.
By then, the other girls had gathered around too.
"Boss, this place is enormous—and so extravagant!"
Mo Li smiled.
"Have you all picked your rooms?"
The girls nodded.
"Anyone still planning to go home instead?"
They all shook their heads in unison.
"Good. From now on, you'll work and live here in this building. If you want to go out, just let Ai-chan know."
"Ai-chan?" The girls looked puzzled. Wasn't that the AI assistant from Honkai Impact 3rd?
Before Mo Li could explain, a lively little loli voice suddenly echoed from all around them:
"Boss~ Ai-chan's here~!"
The girls were stunned—this voice was identical to the one from the game!
Mo Li explained gently, "This is the AI Ai-chan. You can think of her as a super-smart housekeeper. She'll help you quickly get used to the dorm's facilities, and she can even assist us with game development."
"If you want to go out, just tell Ai-chan—she'll arrange transport and plan your route. And if you get lost in the building, just ask her, she'll guide you."
The girls listened in amazement.
"There's an AI this advanced?!"
"Such cutting-edge tech…"
"Boss…" Rita gave Mo Li a sly look, her tone teasing and suggestive.
"Wouldn't you say this is a case of… a golden house to keep your beauties~?"
Her words made Mo Li pause.
Come to think of it… wasn't it exactly that?
Shy girls like Ganyu and Kamisato Ayaka immediately flushed red at the phrase, while even the usually composed Durandal looked a little awkward.
"Ahem… Rita, stop teasing. If it weren't for all those players crowding outside the old studio, the Boss wouldn't have gone so far as to convert a luxury building into a workspace," Durandal said.
"When you think about it… the Boss is actually being really generous."
"True. This way we can focus on work without worrying. Even if our identities get leaked, we won't have fans blocking the doors."
"We should still be careful when going out, though."
"Doesn't matter to me. I rarely go out anyway~" Bronya actually looked cheerful, the stoic expression on her face softening into a faint smile.
"After all, our work is also our hobby. And when we're not working, we can just game."
The girls all nodded in agreement.
"Alright, get familiar with the new workspace first. Tomorrow we push the next version update. After that, we'll speed up dubbing production—need to clear the schedule for Genshin Impact's launch."
Stretching, Mo Li turned to go pick out a room for himself.
"Oh, and if you need anything, just ask Ai-chan~" he reminded them before leaving.
The system-gifted Valkyrie Dormitory truly was extravagant.
Calling it "black tech" wouldn't be an exaggeration. Mo Li even suspected that some of the futuristic gadgets here were directly borrowed from Honkai's organization, Schicksal.
But since the system didn't answer his doubts, he simply let it go.
After casually choosing a room, Mo Li opened his computer and began planning the upcoming versions of Honkai 3rd and Genshin Impact.
Now, the reputation of miHoYo Studio wasn't just resounding domestically—it had spread overseas as well.
Part of that was thanks to Honkai's innovative gameplay, anime art style, and moving storyline.
Another part owed itself to Eden's influence.
Because of that, Mo Li decided that Genshin Impact would have a global simultaneous launch.
He already had a tentative timeline in mind.
Right now, Honkai 3rd was riding a massive wave of popularity, largely due to the Eden collaboration. If he unveiled Genshin now, it would clash with Honkai's momentum.
So the launch date had to be chosen very carefully.
As he pondered, his phone suddenly rang.
"Eden…" Mo Li raised a brow in curiosity. What could she want at this hour?
He answered.
"Good evening, Miss Eden. How do you like the designs I sent you for the Thirteen Flame-Chasers?"
A soft laugh came from the other end.
"Good evening. I read the script you sent me…"
She paused briefly, then asked,
"Could you tell me a little more about the story of the Previous Era?"
Mo Li smiled faintly.
"I could… but if I spoil it now, won't that ruin the surprise when you play later?"
"Fair point. Then I won't ask."
Mo Li chuckled.
"Was there anything else, Miss Eden?"
"I posted my new album announcement on Weibo this afternoon. But… it seems your studio hasn't put out the update notice yet, has it?"
Mo Li froze.
"Ah, right!! My mistake! I got so caught up with moving the girls into the new dorm that I completely forgot!"
"Oh? You've relocated?" Eden asked, amused.
"Yes. I'll explain later—I need to get the update notice out right away."
"By the way, Miss Eden, if you're free, you're welcome to visit our new studio anytime."
"Gladly~ Send me the address. I'll come by in a few days—and while I'm there, we can finalize the details for my character model."
Hearing that, Mo Li finally breathed easier.
"Rest assured, Miss Eden. I've already finished both your model and Elysia's. I promise you'll be satisfied."
