Hikari pov
looking at my poketch, it was almost noon, I had just left Noah at the pokemon center, still looking at my poketch and seeing the same time it was the last time I looked I sighed.
Kyra would hopefully be back soon
I made my way back to the training ground from yesterday. Piplup had learned water gun now I just needed to help her compress the blast. Once she learned how to do that her water gun would be stronger.
While Piplup was learning water gun, Petilil wasn't idle. I had her learning sleep powder to blast her opponents.
The current plan was for her to learn sleep powder, then learn seed bomb along with leech seed. Once her opponent was asleep, set up leech seed then sweep the early trainer's teams.
After Jubilife the first gym would be focusing on rock types, that one both my pokemon had the type advantage so I wasn't as worried. However the next gym would be grass types, that battle will be a pain unless I caught something new.
I thought of how Noah and Kyra both already had half a team, meanwhile I still technically had not caught a pokemon the traditional way, I could only sigh and keep moving forward.
While I was walking to the park I saw a movie theater, deciding to see what was playing I looked at the posters.
While looking at them my originally down mood lightened, and I couldn't help but raise my eyebrows at what I saw, presenting the fields, Toy Story 12 we love money, the new black panther movie starring Robert Downey Jr.
I really, really considered buying a ticket for the last movie, mentally debating, my choice was made when I felt two vibrations.
Both Piplup and Petilil's pokeballs vibrated in my body.
They were both determined to continue in training, now sharing the same feeling I made my way to the park.

Somewhere in a forest on the way to Oreburgh city, a boy and an older girl could be seen together.
The boy had yellow hair and wore an orange and white striped jacket. While the girl had short purple hair and her outfit was made to easily explore forests.
It was Barry and the girl was named Rosebay
While on his way to Oreburgh city Barry ran into Rosebay who was trying to find a rare bird. To make up for running into her and scaring away the birds she was watching he decided to help her.
Currently they were both crouching down on a hill behind some bushes watching a grove full of pokemon.
"Is the pokemon there?" Barry asked
Rosebay while looking through some binoculars frowned, "for the twelfth time, no not yet"
"Now?"
"No"
"Now?"
"NOOO, Barry if you ask again I'm going to drop to drop kick you into a nest of Starly and watch what happens when the Staraptor comes back.
"Fine, I'll just go over there and find the stupid bird!!!"
"Barry, wait!!"
Barry being Barry, naturally ignored her and zoomed towards the flocks of birds, "Swablu? Swablu? Where are you?"
"STARAVIA!!" times four
"oh no, ahh, eeeehh, that's my leg"
Meanwhile Rosebay who was still overlooking the grove didn't even bother to move to help Barry, shaking her head she just sighed and took out her camera, "I tried to stop him, but oh well he'll live."
"Probably"
After ten minutes of being attacked by four Staravia and two Starly that joined in, Barry was left completely wiped out on the ground. His clothes were all torn but other than some scratches here and there he was fine.
Rosebay seeing that all the pokemon flew off she approached Barry, picking up a stick she poked him.
"Are you alive?"
"uhhhh"
"Why didn't you help me" groaned Barry
Rosebay just shrugged, "I did try to warn you"
"Someday you're going to run into someone and they might beat you up like those pokemon."
At Rosebay's words Barry pondered, then looked at her "does pissing off a Misdreavus and running into a hydroflask she brought count?"
At that Rosebay could only sigh and face palm.
"Blu? Swa?, SWABLU!!!"
Emerging from a nearby bush was Swablu, unlike regular Swablu this one was golden. As it noticed Barry it rushed over to him.
Rosebay could only gasp, this was the bird she wanted to find, but what she saw she wasn't expecting.
The pokemon eagerly hopped onto Barry's head and started flapping his wings while constantly moving back and forth.
"Wha? Hey, what are you doing?! Ow ow it has sharp claws"
"Barry, don't move!"
During the Staravia and Starly attack Barry's hair had constantly been pulled now resembling a giant scraggly fluff ball.
"Barry don't move, I need to document this", Rosebay frantically took out her camera and started recording.
Swablu during all of this was still moving but now it was grunting.
"What is it doing?"
"He, Barry its a boy and I believe he is attempting a mating ritual"
"Well get him off me! I don't want this.", "Sorry Barry but this is such a rare sight I can't afford to miss it." Rosebay said while moving around him, Barry could only hold back his complaints, not daring to move.
There were two types of people who would actually head on fight a pokemon, they were either brave or stupid, any pokemon even if it was the smallest Weedle, it could easily send you to the hospital.
Barry, while being a block head, wasn't that stupid to antagonize a pokemon right on top of his head, he could only hold back his protests and humiliation while Rosebay observed him with the still grunting Swablu.
"You are being shagged by a rare pokemon! Look, he's so happy!" Rosebay was desperately holding back from dying of laughter.
"Swa, swa, swa"
"pfft, hahaha"
"Rosebay" Barry hissed, looking straight at her.
"Sorry, but this is one of the funniest things I've ever seen! You are being shagged by a rare pokemon, that most rich people would love to have and is currently trying to mate with you."
"He thinks you are a female, hahahaaa"
Barry couldn't take it anymore, and slightly turned his head, he could only see the cloud-like wing of the Swablu.
"Maybe he's so rare because he doesn't know what a female Swablu looks like"
At Barry's words Rosebay seriously considered it, "hmm, you may be right Barry, we might need to run some tests on this."
"Swa, Swa, Swablu!!"
The Swablu, now done, hopped off Barry, Barry seeing that the Swablu was now in front of him, practically shot off the ground.
"Gross, gross, I need a shower. Alright Rosebay we found the bird, goodbye." With that Barry zoomed off.
"SWA, SWABLU?!"
The Swablu seeing his partner run off hurriedly flew after Barry, Rosebay could only chuckle, "well I think that Swablu and Barry are going to become a great couple."
After Barry made it to the pokemon center, he happily took a shower, while Barry took his shower Swablu snuck into the pokemon center and noticed that Barry had six pokeballs with only one full.
Swablu bumped a pokeball allowing himself to be caught to stay with his chosen maiden.

Back with Hikari
"Piplup water gun!"
"Flareon flame thrower"
The two pokemon both launched their attacks, when the two attacks collided it created a steam cloud, but neither pokemon gave up their attacks
"Keep going Flareon!" Her trainer called
Now it was my turn, "Piplup, remember compress the blast to build pressure"
Piplup hearing me focused, now actively shrinking the blast of water, while the flames looked bigger the water gun was drilling a hole through the fire quickly approaching Flareon.
"Flareon dodge"
Luckily for Flareon, my opponent had had enough common sense to know what would happen, with her callout Flareon dodged the first water gun.
"Piplup if you win I'll buy you some Buizel Bites!!!"
The second I finished, the air on the battlefield changed, Piplup may as well have activated saiyan mode because she was locked in.
"What the" my opponent Maya I think looked so confused, but she would be the first to witness the power of my penguin.
Shaking off her confusion she gave her next orders, "Flareon fire fang"
"Piplup drilling peck", Piplup motivated beyond belief, jumped off the ground towards the approaching Flareon.
While in the air her beak glowed, once it did she started spinning in the air, until Piplup learned aqua jet, this would be our move.
The two attacks again collided, only this time there was an explosion.
When the dust cleared Flareon was out, swirls in her eyes as Piplup stood over her, one flipper in the air.
"Flareon!?" Maya said as she rushed towards her pokemon, "congratulations Piplup", I said as I approached.
"Piplup, pip"
"Don't worry I won't forget, we'll go to the store right now."
Looking back over to Maya she was still looking over her Flareon, I would have felt bad since Maya looked younger than me but she was the one who wanted to battle.
For the last few days I had only used Petilil, and Maya had looked for me specifically and while still looking like a kid, she had all the early signs of a fire type trainer.
Normally I would have used Petilil, but I had been so focused on Piplup's training that the whole day had gone by and I felt like Piplup deserved the win to show her the benefits of training.
Standing over Maya I looked at her, she looked at me, I just stuck out my hand. She sniffled but handed me some money and walked off.
In my defense this was basically the whole point of the pokemon games, you're basically a bully, you beat up random kid's pokemon then take their money.
But I wasn't heartless, when I was with Noah I snagged some of his snacks, some time later Maya would find a lollipop or two in her pocket.
I just sighed, come on Piplup, let's go to the store then call it for the day.
"Pipluppp"
While we only had the one battle today, all three of us were tired, both Petilil and Piplup were training today, and I helped Piplup with her water attacks.
I also needed to refill my water bottle and camelback both were running low on water.
Me and Piplup made our way to the store around the corner from the battle arenas. Walking into the store Piplup got a burst of motivation, she darted forward easily finding a section of the store covered in orange.
As I followed her I noticed she froze, "Piplup what's up?"
She turned to me, giving me teary eyes as she moved forward, turning the corner when I found her. She was still giving me a puppy dog look but now she was hugging a giant barrel of Buizel bites, that thing was bigger than her.
"Piplup?"
"Pip, pip, Piplup"
"Piplup, since you won your first battle you can get it."
"Piplup!!" She said as she came over hugging my leg. Raising my leg so that now she wasn't on the ground, I looked at her.
"You can get it but I'm not helping you carry it back."
"Piplup!?" She looked shocked, like I had stabbed her in the heart, she looked back at the giant barrel of cheese balls, then looked at the others.
She quickly shook her head and went with the giant barrel.
Standing outside the store I waited to see how Piplup would go about this. Piplup noticing me gave me a smug look as she unscrewed the top.
She quickly scarfed down a few mouthful's worth of the bites, "are you going to eat that entire thing here?" I asked
"Piplup" she said back, she then bent down and crammed her head in the barrel.
"You greedy bird", "Pipluppp, pip" (Translation) "behold my glory"
Piplup awkwardly stood up constantly tilting to one side or the other, but once she was up she started eating any bit that came close to her beak.
I just watched her for a minute, while Piplup was eating she quickly realized a problem. Piplup have circular heads, so one jammed in a circular opening naturally took up the entire opening.
"PIPP, PIPLUP, LUP"
Now she was panicking, running around the parking lot we were in, banging the barrel on anything trying to get it off so she could breathe.
While I was laughing at her, I moved over to her, grabbing the barrel before she could bang it on the sidewalk again.
"Piplup, come here" I said as I grabbed the barrel, while I looked into the small eye I could see through all the cheese I made the water in my finger start rotating fast and into a small stream.
I made three small holes near Piplup's head in the barrel, small enough that no bites would escape but big enough that she could get some air.
"Pipluppp", she took a second to catch her breath, after a few seconds she went right back to eating.
Facepalming I just couldn't believe it, but hey as long she's fine that's all that matters. Chuckling I started heading for the pokemon center, Piplup with her limited visibility noticed I was moving and started following me.
We got some weird looks from passersby but no one stopped us, we almost made it to the pokemon center when, "now that's interesting?"
A huge horde of pokemon were just walking down the street, all of them had a vacant look in their eyes, looking around there was no one who looked like a trainer.
Something just didn't sit right with me, and I decided to follow them, "come on Piplup", "lup?"
While walking we kept going down street after street, more pokemon joined the herd.
"Hikari! And Piplup?"
Turning around there was a big group, Noah, Kyra, Lucas, Dawn, the poketch salesguy, a kid, Brock and Ash.
Looking at the last two it wasn't hard to tell who they were, while they did look different from the anime, it wasn't that hard to tell.
"Hikari do you know what is going on?" Noah asked, I snapped out of my daze and looked around. "No I don't, I was just coming back from the store with Piplup and I saw them" I said while referring to the pokemon.
"What about you, do you know anything" I said while addressing the whole group while suppressing my inner child at seeing my childhood right in front of me.
This time it was the salesguy who responded, "not exactly, some people dressed up as clowns and gave away fake poketchs, those fake poketchs now are playing the sound of a Psyduck and that is somehow manipulating these pokemon.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's follow them, "Ash said, "Pika!"
We continued following them until we reached the park, once we were there, there was this giant box. Inside all the pokemon were just standing inside not moving or anything.
Suddenly the kid noticing his Shinx at the front rushed forward. With the kid approaching, a gate rapidly started closing.
Dawn was the first to react and saved the kid before he could become trapped. While Dawn was checking on him, we all heard them.
"Listen, is that a twerp I hear?"
"It seems to me loud and clear."
"On the wind"
"Past the stars"
"In your ear"
It was team rocket, of course it was, Ash was here and with his luck these three would be right behind him.
Team rocket went through most of their introduction but once they said their names Kyra and Noah looked right at me, I nodded.
Noah, understanding what to do, ran off to the nearest pay phone.
"Hey what do you think you're doing?!"
"That's so rude of you, we were just getting to the good part."
"Wobbuffet!"
Team rocket complained at Noah, since they still weren't done with their intro, now it was my turn, and what I was about to do I could only pray I could run fast enough to avoid the after effect.
Bringing my hands to my mouth I shouted, "somebody help, that old lady with the long hair she needs help."
Instantly the air shifted, Jessie's full attention was on me, "wha, what, WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?!!!!"
Tick marks formed all over her face as her face turned red from rage.
"Meowth, get down!" James yelled as he jumped down from the box, "Right behind you!"
Just as they disappeared from view Jessie let out a, flamethrower?
"Hikari, run!!" Lucas and Dawn both yelled at me, oh no, now I was booking it the fire was gaining on me.
I jumped for the ground and held myself. Not feeling any heat, I looked back over to team rocket.
The giant Meowth balloon was out and was pulling away the box full of pokemon. The balloon also had two arms with capsules, one had Ash's Pikachu while the other had Jessie who was pounding the glass and looked to be ranting at me.
Seeing that team rocket was about to get away, Dawn released her Buneary and had her use ice beam. The blast froze both Meowth and James who were piloting the thing causing it to shake and the capsule with Pikachu to open.
"Pika!!"
Kyra seeing Pikachu falling released Misdreavus.
"Misdreavus"
"Misdreavus, catch that Pikachu"
Luckily Misdreavus was able to save Pikachu before he hit the ground, as for team rocket, their balloon hit the ground along with the box of pokemon.
With no more Psyduck sounds they all looked confused, all mentally wondering how they all got here. With everyone distracted by the pokemon team rocket actually broke out of Buneary's ice beam.
And the capsule Jessie was in.
"I've had enough of you twerps, go Seviper"
"You too Carnivine, Carnivine attack them not my head!"
Jessie and James both released their pokemon but when they did James's Carnivine wrapped itself around James while biting his head.
"Guy's I'm back" looking over it was Noah, seeing Noah return, team rocket's smile grew, "perfect now we can deal with all the twerps! Seviper poison tail"
"Carnivine, bullet seed"
They both charged, "Petilil use stun spore," I said as I chucked Petilil's ball towards them.
The stun spore landed and both became paralyzed, "Pikachu use thunderbolt"
"What's goin-- mphhh!!"
Kyra who had been standing with the group noticed that the kid's Shinx gave Pikachu an electric boost, seeing that she had Misdreavus use her telekinesis to move James.
"PIKACHU!"
With the powered up thunderbolt, there was an explosion and most of team rocket were blasted off.
"That was great Dawn, your Buneary is really strong" Ash said, then he looked to Noah, "so what did you run off to do"
Noah looked concerned like he didn't know what to say but he didn't need to answer because officer Jenny and nurse Joy came. "We've received calls about people stealing pokemon" Jenny said, Noah just pointed to her.
The salesguy who's name I still didn't know approached her and explained the situation, meanwhile Brock looked like he could die happy seeing both Joy, and Jenny.
While proposing to both that they should all go out together, a Croagunk came out of one of his pokeballs and punched him in the gut.
That lightened the mood, and everyone became distracted, Brock was fine after a bit. I moved over to Petilil who looked tired and put her in her usual spot in my hoody.
"Alright we're going to call it for the night. You three coming?" Lucas said while looking at me, Kyra, and Noah.
Shrugging I just looked at him, "nah, we'll catch up we still have something important to do."
"Then we'll see you tomorrow at Dawn's contest", "see you there" I said back.
All three of us moved to a bench to make ourselves comfortable as we waited, Jenny stayed for a few minutes until a team of Machokes came and hauled away the box that had all the pokemon.
With everyone gone we moved to the trees, where Misdreavus was watching over James who was struggling against her. "Misdreavus lets move back over there and you can let him talk."
With James floating behind us we moved back to the bench, "Hey what gives? What are you going to do with me?!"
In the distance all of us could hear a humming sound that was constantly getting louder, looking at James who was still struggling I smiled, Kyra who was the closest to him just started whistling a familiar tune.
Here comes the bride
James looked so confused by the whole situation until the humming from earlier became a thumping sound and Kyra's whistling made sense.
He turned ghostly pale, "no, no, NO! Let me go! Please I promise you'll never hear from me again!"
"Misdreavus", the ghost sold him out and turned him around showing he was crossing his fingers.
Noah exhaled "Hikari when you first told us about this I was concerned but seeing what they almost pulled tonight, now I don't feel bad at all."
With an evil grin Kyra spoke up, "speak for yourself, all of us are about to get paid"
James continued struggling until the helicopter landed, after it landed four people stepped out. First was a butler, next was an older man and woman. Then finally was a woman that looked just like Jessie with a different hair cut.
If I hadn't just seen Jessie blown off into the distance somewhere I would easily believe it was the same person. Both Kyra and Noah looked like they had the same thought as they approached us.
"Hello mother, hello father, Jessebelle how are you" James was shaking like a leaf desperately looking for a way out.
Since Noah was the one who called them the butler approached him, "since master James is here as promised, here is the money."
"This can't be legal?!" James cried out to us, we all just ignored him as Misdreavus floated him closer to Jessebelle.
Noah took the check he offered and stiffened, after a pause he thanked them.
Seeing that we got paid, Kyra pointed to the helicopter, Misdreavus, understanding what to do, floated James into a seat that looked like it was meant for a raging toddler, there were even teddy bear stickers with a sippy cup.
The man that looked to be James's father came closer to Noah, "thank you for finding our son, we've tried for years, to no such luck."
"Yea it was no problem" Noah said while rubbing the back of his neck.
"hm", was all he said before everyone went back in the helicopter, James was still struggling in his seat.
"Master James, would you like some juice?" The butler said while standing over James, he sniffled "yes please"
Then the helicopter took off, with the rich people gone, me and Kyra came over to Noah, "so how much did you get?" she asked
Noah, still somewhat in shock, just looked at the check in his hand, "it's for three million pokedollars."
Both me and Kyra's eyes bulged at the number, three million dollars!? In Noah's hands right now there was a check for three million dollars, "what are we waiting for, let's head to an atm!" Me and Kyra both said at the same time.
I recalled Piplup who was off the side munching on her snack, with that we all moved to find the first bank.
"Thank you for using the Snorunt stop atm, please have a wonderful day." The machine said, I looked at it, "Mr. Machine you're alright for a clanker" I said while giving it a thumbs up.
Neither Noah or Kyra cared for my nonsense; both were enthralled by their wallets, which now could no longer close.
Noah coming out of his reverie turned to both of us, "either of you want to go out to eat? My treat."
"Gladly", "sure", both of us voiced our agreement. We then spent the rest of the night at a more high end sushi place.
When the bill came Noah barely even looked at the total, none of us cared as we were all on the brink of a food coma.
We slowly made our way back to the pokemon center barely making it to our rooms before collapsing on the bed.
