Chapter 6 - The Hole leads to

[...No, Power cannot be digitized.

It is an expression of the Path you walk on.]

As I feel the sunlight gently caressing my bare skin, I start gathering my surroundings looking for any of those 'monsters' nearby, before looking at the deep hole underground that I emerged from.

[Anything as long as it makes 'Progress', will gradually elevate it's status , the history enriched, until finally through its unique belief, it chooses a Path]

Stretching my eye-sight, I catch everything within a 5km radius.

Mountains. This entire place is filled with mountains. But there is something strange about their shape and position.

[The Primordial Aether is an ancient substance that can elevate your 'Status' limitlessly.]

Its as if they have been uprooted and thrown aside randomly, no they do not even resemble mountains.

[Prior to Evolution, Host is believed to be an entity formed from the solidification of Primordial Aether.

The unimaginable amount of time for such a transformation to take place and the countless transformations you should have undergone made you achieve the most tempered state.]

Mountains usually have a pattern, be it colours of the minerals they emit, a line of neighboured peaks creating a mountain-range, even their structure that ranges from dome-shaped to sharp-edged...

[This is one instance related to you, that shows how with sufficient History, Status can be transformed yet at the same time keep your Proof of Existence.]

Gulp

So, me eating the 'Birth Pod' was an extremely stupid move...

I muse as I take a higher ground, by jumping over a few 100 meters each time, arriving at the edge of a cliff, the view expands...

[Similarly, a 'Status-holder' that has its status changed can only keep it's 'existence' stable, using overwhelming History or Belief

Otherwise, after their death or conversion, their Proof of Existence becomes a part of 'Progression', and is archived as a part of 'History', the Proof of Progression.]

Wooishh

Hmfn What is even going on?

Beyond the cliff, I see something unbelievable.

The Sunlight and clear blue sky above gives the illusion of a normal average picnic day, the only contrast being the endless hilly terrain with slight plant outgrowth.

But. The view from beyond the cliff shatters that image into a million pieces, and places it in one corner of my mind.

Just like the many distinct images that can be seen from this place.

Countless worlds as if stiched together stimulate my senses, confuse them, and make me feel a lack of direction, the very concept of it ingrains in my mind.

Layers upon layers of worlds of different colours, shape, as if I am in a crystalline amber of infinite depth.

From my point of view whether I look beyond the cliff to the sky above it, or below at the depth of the cliff. It's still all the same.

Thud

I run back towards the hole, to confirm my suspiciouns.

System, what do you think?

[More information is required to make an accurate judge-]

Alright, got it-

Hupp(Jump)

I jump down the hole leading to the underground ritual site.

After 30 minutes of falling-

Grip

Screech

Stop

This hole wasn't that long.

Where the fuck did it go? No. Where did I travel to?

An uneasy feeling creeps into me as I look back up to the outside I came from, at the end of the hole, and below at the seemingly infinite depth that appeared out of nowhere.

I climb back up, dreading that I might again be pushed into a new place.

...

Rumbling

In the vast wastelands, the dry ground quakes and broke periodically, as if a Kaiju was walking on them.

In a way, that is correct.

The Mechanical Golems of Hero Dravtra, were nothing short of calamity bringing nightmares, both for their enemies and even allies.

He was known across the world for creating devastating pieces of technology, but they were purely designed for the sole purpose of Destruction.

The Ultimate Firepower that can be produced by an Artifact.

Even during the Final Battle of Dharma, he was not able to show the Greatest Firepower in the battlefield.

Partly because there were numerous monsters participating in it, and at the same time he hadn't yet completed his design, the magnum opus of his entire life.

'Paramanu'!

After the Death of the Demon King, the Demon Generals surrendered and made a pledge under the Hollow Priestess.

Since then, there hasn't been any force in existence, that can be a threat to him, as most of his allies, have taken up the task to bring back the World to its previous Glory, or even surpass it.

On the other hand, outliers like him and eight others chose to go their separate ways, they orginally had their own goals and aspirations, but due to the overwhelming existential threat of the Demon King, they had to join forces.

Even then it was an impossible feat to defeat the Demon King. If not for the aid of additional Power-houses from the Other Worlds. It would have been an inevitable doom.

Even if they technically won in the end, the World was in Ruins. The Final Battle involved Multiple Worlds, so each World had to stake their existence in the line, and merge their Power systems.

As a result, after the War, along with Ruins came various other existential changes into each World System.

Even after the Prophecy passed, the Worlds still did not return to their normal state.

At a glance everything seemed fine, but then there were unexplained disasters happening, entire populations disappearing overnight, with new species of monsters rampaging and destroying the cosmic ecosystem.

After the War, The World's Emissaries, their Avatars, were the only ones that became able to travel through Worlds, something inconcievable before the final stage of the War.

Throughout their Investigation, they shared information back and forth among them, and under the Hollow Collage's announcement, it was known by all who were present in the War-

The Worlds have started merging. It would take an unprecedented amount of time but if nothing is done, the countless Worlds will merge into a singular existence.

But with disaster, there is also opportunity.

This became the perfect trigger for those who had hit a limit in their Path.

Those who had been present during the Battle of Dharma, would clearly know the unlimited potential of systems of the Other Worlds and their traits that could complete the missing link, and elongate their Path.

At the same time, those who heard about and saw the miracles and evidence with their own eyes, also started to contribute to this new development.

A new Era was beginning.

Dravtra was just one of these countless admirers of the Other Worlds systems, mainly their method of Destruction, some could destroy concepts, some could use concepts as Weapons, others could destroy Worlds if given enough prep time.

The Dharma War had enlightened him and after travelling far and wide excavating countless treasures he could find in his world, he created it-

'Paramanu'

The World Ripper.

"Just the scraps from Other Worlds is not enough!

I have to go there and see the Peak! Of Destruction! MYSELF!

There has to be! Nothing is certain in this World, not even it's continued existence.

But I will find out! Hahahha!"

The Paramanuwas shaped like a muzzle, but externally attached to the throat of the Golem.

The Golem itself is a piece of Art, Dravtra created by killing a lost otherworlder.

After a brutal fight and exhausting himself to the limit, he ultimately resorted to using two of his Otherworldly collections from the War. They were destroyed in the process.

But he gained something far more valuable. An Artifact filled with the aura of Dimensional Overlap.

Sacrificing parts of it as the material, his Paramanu could now affect the different planes of Otherworldly realities.

Dravtra had just activated it, for a total of 2 seconds, the beam of concentrates destruction, produced a sound of pure existential terror, layers of paper thin walls separating this world from others were being ripped apart as the ray travelled through more than a million Worlds.

In Dravtra's view, there was an infinitely thin portal, nothing beneath it had been damaged, just the radiation created by the Golem had elevated parts of the lifeless ground.

"It worked! Atleast travelled tens of millions of worlds, even if it is only as effective as cutting out an infinitely thin slice which will naturally close up due to the world's assimilation.

I have achieved my first step! Towards this Path of Absolute Destruction."

Exclaiming so, he jumped into the Portal with the Golem, that closed up a minute later after his departure.

...

"What's the matter?"

A girl's clear smooth voice reminiscent of the spring wind blowing, comes from above me.

As I reach the final stretch, I hesitate whether to go up, or wait and hear the situation above.

"Young Miss! A hole suddenly appeared en route!

It is my mistake for not being more attentive, please punish this worthless servant and make her regret her he..decisions he..he.."

Another girl, probably her confidant somehow her voice transforms from a firm well disciplined servant to a desperate pervert by the end of her speech.

"Stop fooling around and go check it. What if someone is down there? Hurry up, we have to reach the capital by Tommorow."

"Okay~ Missus!"

The clear voice feels like the one who is at the top of hierarchy, I could go down right away to avoid being seen, but that will literally send me to another god-forsaken land.

Out of the couple hundred times I got out, I always found myself in a completely new environment or world.

'Is this a passage to those worlds I saw?' was the thought that came up, but the System had other ideas

[Host. According to the observations recorded so far, you have certainly been traveling to different worlds]

Yeah, figures.

[But there seems to be a misconception in your thought process, Host.

It's not the hole, but the Host who has been passing through the 'World Barriers'.]
