The morning was different today, very different, he had slept for far longer and was very well rested, but the direct contact with the sun was missing. There was no beautiful view, just a cold wall...
He stood up, no back pain, no sleepiness. The day was his to conquer, yet something was missing. Not as it isn't there, but for him. That connection with nature.
He headed out, pre-paid for another night, and headed out to get a few stuff done, get new clothes, because he needn't wear his old clothes; now they were just a memory.
After paying, he asked the lady at the desk for directions to a tailor, or any other clothes making fella. She was very kind to give him the answer he needed.
So now the outside world called, what a lovely morning: the sun casting shadows behind buildings, the night chill still lingered, and people were still not present.
Sometimes he thought of a what-if no one was somewhere, except him. Though, that 'sometimes' were a long while back. He couldn't truly want emptiness.
He wandered around town, before finding a store which sells clay pots, ready for use.
He immediately bought a bunch, because why not, and then headed back towards the inn and into his room.
Once there, he materialized a single pot, before casting 'Create Earth' to create soil for the cabbage seeds, which he immediately planted deep in the soil.
He casted 'Growth' on the pot and within seconds a little cabbage emerged.
Well it was little before 10 seconds, now it is at it's peak.
Svetislav used transformed the cabbage into information, before planting another seed.
And so he created himself a work cycle, every 30 seconds or so he was able to grow and harvest another cabbage, which meant 20000 Eris a minute.
He repeated the process about 50 times, till he felt wobbly, before stopping completely.
How lovely - 500000 in cabbage... Now he would have to go ask Luna if they buy cabbages out of the harvest event.
So he headed out to do that, how nice it was for the guild to be just a minute or two away.
As he entered the guild, he spot Aqua begging Kazuma again, Darkness and Megumin were also there, spectating this weird antic.
"Morning guys!" - Svetislav said cheerfully.
"Morning"x3 from Darkness, Megumin, Kazuma.
After the greeting, Svetislav turned right and marched towards the receptionist desk.
"Good morning, Luna."
"Morning, Svet."
"I got a question."
"Of course."
"Does the guild buy cabbages all year round, or is it just for the event."
"Normally the harvest covers the town's yearly need, but... demand always stays. Fresh cabbage is a staple.. Why do you ask?"
"I can provide a steady supply."
She looked at him with surprise, half in surprise and half in awe.
"Really now? That would be most helpful. If you can guarantee quality, we can purchase at a consistent rate."
Svetislav smiled, feeling how heavy his coin pouch is about to be. - "Then expect me to be your most reliable supplier. Wanna start from today?"
"Sure."
"Great!"
Svetislav turned right and unleashed all of his 50 cabbages right beside the miserable pile of lettuce.
Of course someone is eavesdropping, while Luna counted the lettuce, Aqua walked to him.
"Oh, Svetislav! Mighty cabbage baron, generous farmer, spiritual pillar of this town - lend me some coin! I hired some guys and now can't pay. They brought in only lettuce."
(This woman scammed herself.) Svetislav sighed. "Lettuce?"
"It does sell for considerably less."
She practically kneeled before him. - "I'm ruined! Utterly ruined!" - She crawled closer, clasping her hands together. - "But you can save me. You have a golden touch, i can feel it! Just a little handout for you beloved goddess~"
"Get away from me, you temptress!" - Svetislav stepped back until there were two arms length worth of distance.
Kazuma nearly chocked on what he just heard.
Aqua's jaw dropped. "T-Temptress?! How dare you! I am a goddess, you hear?!"
"And you are the one begging???"
"He said it." - Kazuma yelled from across the room.
"Oh, you were supposed to support me!"
"Support yourself."
"Also make better financial decisions." - Svetislav added.
Luna was chuckling in the background, while Aqua retreated back to Kazuma to extort him some more, until she finally did that.
"Eh, flaws in character are exploitable." - Svetislav said, leaning on the receptionist desk, before looking at Luna. - "Is the count alright?" - He asked with crossed arms.
"And fifty. Is that how much you are selling?"
"Yes, fifty exactly."
"Alright, just a moment." - She said, before moving back behind the desk and counting 500000 Eris.
She slid the tray she placed the money on.
"Here you go."
"Thank you!" - Svetislav pocketed the money, before looking back at her. - "Tomorrow same count as today, and the next after, and so on and on till i have found a more efficient way to farm cabbages."
"Pleasure doing business then. See you tomorrow then."
"Yeah, See you tomorrow." - With that he left off. - "Yo, guys, imma go around town for a bit, does someone want to come with me?" - He asked, but they didn't pay him attention.
Svetislav witnessed Kazuma crumbling under pressure once more as Aqua began commenting on what sounds he was making at night, after Kazuma talked about getting a place of his own.
Svetislav gave a sigh and shook his head, before walking out of the building with the intent of finding a tailor that could make him custom clothing, which are more dignifying - something that he wants to wear and show, clothes to express himself.
While on his way through the market, a voice called him out from behind. - "Going shopping, huh?"
He stopped and looked back, seeing Chris leaning against a lamppost.
"Oh, It's you. Didn't expect to run into you so soon."
"You are not exactly hard to spot." - She pushed off and walked to him. - "Word spreads fast when someone walks into the guild with such abundance."
"So what? I have become the 'cabbage guy'?"
"Yeah!"
"Anyways, so what brings you here?"
"Oh, nothing much, just walking around. You?"
"Going to a tailor, cuz these clothes need some change."
"Understandable. You look homeless in them."
"Yep..."
And so the two began walking, first the conversation was more base leveled, but as they blabbered on, they got to the point of telling stories, well, mostly her, about small-time adventuring, jobs.
He on the other hand lead the conversation, more on the future. She didn't necessarily asked him about in-depth explanation, she was just curious about how he managed to sell so much.
He explained about his unique power, and how the skills he creates bug other people's adventurer's card.
"So, you just... make new skills out of thin air? Who does that?"
"Apparently, me." He replied with a smirk. "Thought i think it's less out of thin air and more like constructing from some base. Like how you build a building, you have ground, a base burrowed deep in the ground, and the actual part which you build."
"Mhhm. Is there a limit, or?"
"Nah, i don't think there is, or i haven't discovered it."
"You are dangerous."
"Yep, very much." - He replied, without a care in the world.
And so this went on for a few hours, just walking and talking, him about his stuff, her actually giving him tips on how to avoid overpriced vendors. By the time the sun was an hour away from sunset, she stretched her arms out and gave a sign.
"Well, this was nice, but i've got my own errands to run."
"Understandable. See you sometime later than?"
"Yeah, see you around, cabbage king."
And just like that she vanished in an alley way.
From there he proceeded to search for a tailor store, occasionally asking those who knew the town for directions, which they were kind enough to give.
Soon he reached the front porch of the store, he read the sign, confirming this is the tailor store, before walking in, a bell ringing.
"Ah, good evening, dear customer. How may i help you?"
"Good evening, madam, i would like to order a custom set of clothing."
"Yes, but custom clothing is costly."
"How much?"
"250000 Eris is the base cost."
"Take 500000, cuz i'm generous." - Svetislav said, pulling out his money and counting them till there were 500000 in his hand.
"No need, sir. But thank you." - The woman said, raising her hands.
"I insist. Take it. If your work proves good, may we meet in the future." - She took that as a challenge, her presence changing.
"Oh, don't worry, i will... So, what clothes, color?"
"Like white thin cotton shirt, on it i want a thin dark-blue with a rhombus pattern, and to top it all of i want a long wool brown coat, one which would reach to my knees."
"No pants?"
"Oh yeah, pants. Make them also brown, to match the coat. Also brown boots. Can you do that for me?"
"Indeed i can. But first, measurements. I got a way of working." - She pulled out a rope which had numbers written on it.
After that she began taking his measurements, writing them all down in a notebook.
"Alright, in about a week i will be ready. Till then. Take care."
"Thank you. Till then."
And with that Svetislav left towards the guild to rejoin his friends at the table if they are even there. Which they were.
They enjoyed dinner together, joked around and all that.
After a while he decided to leave and rest.
