Yu Han's gaze drifted away from his mobile screen and landed on the person standing before him. The man's features were familiar, yet distinct – a subtle pink hue on his cheeks, his hair tousled from the wind.

His hands shaking so violently he can barely control them, Yu Han turns his back to Li Hao, fumbling with the shelves above him.
His gaze is fixed on the wall, anywhere but Li Hao. His fingers, numb with fright, close around a small, brightly colored packet.
He pulls it down, not even glancing at what it is, his eyes still wide, fixed on nothing. He pivots back, his arm extended stiffly, the packet dangling precariously from his trembling fingers. He doesn't notice the bold lettering on the packet: "DUREX – Extra Safe."
He takes the packet from Yu Han's shaking hand. His eyes, however, never leave Yu Han's pale, frightened face. There's an unreadable intensity in them, a hint of something assessing, or perhaps just a dark amusement.
The chime above the door rings again, sharply interrupting the suffocating silence. A burly man, dressed sharply, hurries into the convenience store, his eyes scanning for Li Hao.
"Mr. Li! Apologies for the delay, sir. Mr. Korn is getting impatient. Please come fast." Gang Zi said breathlessly.

His breath comes in ragged gasps, and he feels a cold sweat break out across his forehead. His legs finally give way, and he slumps against the shelf, clutching at his chest, the image of Li Hao's unreadable eyes burned into his memory.
