"Cough!"
In a desolate ruin, Goetia, the Demon King executing the Incineration of Human Order, suddenly coughed, spitting up a mouthful of blood.
"Lord Demon King!" our old friend Lev rushed to his side. "My lord, are you alright? What happened? Was there an attack?"
But there was no one else in sight.
"I am fine. No one attacked me," Goetia said, his voice devoid of emotion.
"Then why...?"
"This world... is finished," Goetia said, his brow furrowed.
"Ah? You mean the Incineration of Human Order was a success?"
"I mean it literally," Goetia replied. "I have just seen this world fall into utter nothingness. No future, no possibilities. This world is completely and utterly doomed."
The other Demon God Pillars were stunned. The world is going to be destroyed? Not their kind of destruction, which could be undone, but a complete and total annihilation. And the Incineration had only just begun!
"My lord, what is happening?" Lev asked.
"A madman," Goetia said, a hint of anger in his voice, and for the first time, a flicker of fear. "He has attracted the attention of a group of unspeakable beings."
...
Meanwhile, the two will-of-the-world lolis, Gaia and Alaya, were staring in horror at the scene outside their world. If Mo Wang had been there, they would have had a few choice words for him.
It had all started when he had summoned the Honkai.
"What is this?" the two lolis had wondered, their once-dull eyes now wide with alarm. A vast, purple energy had engulfed their world, and then, like a drill, it had pierced the world's barrier.
"No way! It broke through?!" Gaia panicked.
"It's heading for the Root!" Alaya shrieked. The Root was the most important thing in their entire world! They couldn't let anything happen to it!
The two of them joined forces to fight off the encroaching energy. It was a long and arduous battle, but they finally managed to push the Honkai out.
"What... what was that?" Alaya asked, trembling. The energy had been like a swarm of locusts, trying to devour the Root and take control of their entire timeline.
"I don't know," Gaia replied, her heart still pounding. "It seems to have come from the singularity. What was it?"
This was their first encounter with the Honkai, and it had left them shaken. Even the seemingly pathetic Honkai of Honkai Impact 3rd was a powerful force that could interfere with countless bubble worlds and even traverse the Imaginary Tree.
The Cocoon of Finality alone had nearly wiped out an entire civilization. And the Honkai of Guns Girl Z was even more ridiculous.
Mo Wang had no idea that his little experiment had attracted the attention of the Honkai's main body. If it weren't for Gaia and Alaya, humanity would have been facing its final trial.
But before they could even catch their breath, they felt several other strange gazes on them.
"What now?!" Gaia was on the verge of tears. Several massive, bizarre figures, the Aeons, were now looking in their direction.
"What... what are those?" Gaia and Alaya trembled. The one closest to them, a black, egg-like being, looked particularly terrifying. We're just two little planetary wills! Why are all these scary things looking at us?!
Then they realized that the black egg looked familiar. It had been here before. They looked towards the singularity and saw Mo Wang, using the power of the Stellaron to create his Honkai-Fragmentum army.
"It's you again!" they shrieked, wanting to rush in and throttle him. It's just the first singularity! How did you manage to summon all these unspeakable horrors?! Are you trying to blow up the planet?!
Unaware of his audience, Mo Wang was a little disappointed. "Is this all it can do? Maybe I should add something else?" he wondered. The Honkai's corruption was slowing down.
At the thought of him adding "something else," Gaia and Alaya panicked. No! This world can't take any more of your shenanigans! Don't add anything else! If they weren't so busy repairing the world's barrier, they would have already rushed into the singularity and killed Jalter and the Marshal.
As for killing Mo Wang... was that even possible?
"Ah, I guess I'll just leave it at that. I don't want to blow up the world," Mo Wang said, deciding that his army was big enough for now.
...
"What... what are we even doing here?" one of the soldiers on the wall asked. I thought this was supposed to be a life-or-death battle. A chance to give our lives for our country. But now...
He watched as a multi-story-tall Honkai beast swatted a wyvern out of the sky. It felt like he had wandered onto the set of a monster movie. Are we really the good guys? We look more like the villains.
But I have to admit, being the villain is pretty fun.
The Servants were having similar thoughts.
"I still don't understand what we're here for. Does this singularity even need us?" Cu Chulainn grumbled. A Master who could spam units like this and was ridiculously strong... did he really need their help to save the world? He could probably clear all seven singularities in a day!
"Since you're so determined to die," Mo Wang said to Jalter, "let me grant you your wish."
"Let everything be destroyed! Gilles!" Jalter shrieked.
"Yes, my lady Jeanne!" Gilles raised his grimoire and began to chant. A massive, Cthulhu-like squid appeared in the sky.
"What is that thing?"
"It seems to be an Outer God summoned by my future self's grimoire," Saber Gilles said, just as confused as everyone else. He thought you had to sacrifice yourself to summon it.
"Whoa, a sea monster. That's a big one," Mo Wang said, having reappeared on the city wall.
"So, Senpai, is it our turn now?" Mash asked, her hand on her shield.
"Yep, it's your turn," he said.
"Alright!" the other Servants cheered, finally getting a chance to fight.
"But before we do that," Mo Wang said, looking at Cu Chulainn and Archer, "we should probably play that one."
"That one?"
"Fusion, of course! Let's go, Cu Chulainn, Shirou!"
"Huh?"
Before they could react, three cards appeared in Mo Wang's hand. They glowed with a brilliant white light, and three massive, powerful-looking mechanical beasts flew into the sky.
