Chapter 28 - How Can Daydreaming Increase Affection Points?

"That idiot Mo Wang! Where did he run off to now?!"

On a small path in St. Freya, Kiana sat on a bench, complaining with an impatient look on her face.

She sat there, fidgeting irritably, before violently crushing an aluminum can in her hand and tossing it into the nearby trash bin.

"Argh! So annoying! Why is it that when I actually want to find him, he's nowhere to be seen?!"

Kiana threw a few punches at the air in front of her, as if she were punching Mo Wang.

She had some good news today and had wanted to share it with him.

But to her surprise, when she went to the captain's office, there was no one there.

Not just the captain's office—the school's computer lab, his dorm room, she had even checked Mei's and Bronya's dorms.

But there was no trace of Mo Wang.

"That darn Mo Wang, where did he go off to play? Don't tell me he found a good spot to slack off without me? That jerk, he didn't even take me with him."

Kiana leaned back on the bench, muttering in dissatisfaction.

It had to be said, Kiana was the one in the entire school who understood Mo Wang the best.

The moment he disappeared, she guessed that he had probably run off somewhere to slack off.

And he had deliberately not told them anything just to avoid them.

However, seeing Kiana like this, she looked particularly lonely.

It was like her best friend had abandoned her to go play alone.

"Bronya and Mei both have training plans, and now even Mo Wang is gone. Ugh! I'm so bored!"

Kiana swung her long legs listlessly, her mind consumed with trying to figure out where that guy Mo Wang had gone off to play.

"Is it Sapphire City? Or did he go to that 'headquarters'? Don't tell me he went to hang out with Auntie? I heard that last time, Bronya and Mo Wang even played in his office all night..."

As Kiana muttered to herself, she suddenly felt that something wasn't quite right.

"What's going on?! Why is it that the moment I stop, my mind is filled with that guy Mo Wang? This isn't right!"

Kiana tugged at her ponytail, her face flushing bright red.

"Come to think of it, I've been thinking about that guy way too often lately. Why is that?"

The more Kiana thought about it, the stranger it became. Ever since he had saved her, she couldn't help but think about him.

What was wrong with her?

"Don't tell me... I've fallen for him?" Kiana couldn't help but think.

But the moment the thought crossed her mind, she slapped herself across the face.

"No way! How could I possibly fall for that idiot!"

"He's just a lazy guy who always teases me and calls me a noob when we play games... How could I possibly like someone like that?! The one I like is Mei!"

As Kiana said this, an image of Mo Wang floated into her mind.

"But... it's not like he doesn't have any good qualities. He's... actually quite caring, and he's always generous with his snacks, and he plays with me. And last time, he was the first one to rush into danger..."

As she went on, the image of Mo Wang in Kiana's mind became incredibly handsome.

Even his affection points were constantly going up, up, up.

If Mo Wang could see the Valkyries' affection levels, he would probably be extremely confused right now: Why is this white-haired Tuna's affection level shooting up like a rocket? It won't stop!

"No, that's not it! It's not like that at all!"

Kiana waved her hands frantically in the air, her face beet red.

She darted her eyes around, and after confirming that no one was there, she finally patted her chest.

"Phew, that was close. Good thing no one was around."

But after breathing a sigh of relief, Kiana felt her face burning up.

"I must be sick, right? Could it be... that I worked too hard today?"

Feeling a little flustered, Kiana stood up from the bench, feeling a bit light-headed as she prepared to leave.

"What's that smell? Did the sewer explode?"

Just then, Kiana's nose suddenly twitched.

A nauseating smell washed over her, and she almost threw up.

RUSTLE!

A sound suddenly came from the bushes nearby.

Kiana turned to look and saw a figure covered in mud and sand, reeking of fish, feces, and all sorts of other strange smells, suddenly burst out.

"Holy crap! A ghost?!"

Faced with this figure, Kiana was so scared she stumbled back several steps.

To be honest, with that appearance, they could go cosplay as an undead pirate in the Caribbean without even needing makeup.

"Who are you calling a ghost?! I'm a person, okay?! What are you talking about?!"

Hearing Kiana's words, the young man who had just emerged from the grove immediately swore.

"A person?"

Kiana pinched her nose, enduring the suffocating smell, and took a couple of glances. She found that it really was a person.

"This... big bro, did you fall into a cesspit or something? Why do you stink so bad?"

Kiana asked, still pinching her nose.

It took her a great deal of effort to finally make out that the person in front of her was a young man with blue hair.

"You know, you're not wrong."

The young man was unable to refute Kiana's words.

After all, he really had fallen in.

"Hahhhaahaha! How did you manage to fall in there?"

Kiana laughed.

After all, falling into a cesspit wasn't a common occurrence at St. Freya.

"Don't even get me started."

The young man then recounted everything that had happened to him.

After hearing his story, Kiana's brow furrowed.

(So, that's where Mo Wang went today? Damn it, barbecuing and fishing at the same time? That jerk, I'm definitely going to make him take me with him next time!)

As soon as Kiana thought this, she looked at the man in front of her.

"Don't tell me... Mo Wang set this trap too?" Kiana couldn't help but think.

"Huh? The guy who set the traps is named Mo Wang? That bastard! If I find him, I'll kill him!"

Hearing Mo Wang's name, the young man immediately started cursing.

"Ah, yes, yes. He is pretty annoying."

Hearing him say that, Kiana felt quite awkward.

She had... just sold Mo Wang out, hadn't she?

"Wait a minute. Speaking of which, big bro, who are you? I don't think I've seen you at the school before. What are you here for?"

Kiana suddenly remembered that she hadn't seen this guy before.

Did they have someone like this at their school?

"Almost forgot the important stuff."

The young man seemed to remember his purpose.

"I say, little girl, do you know where the Third Herrscher is?"

"The Third Herrscher? You mean Mei?!"

The moment Kiana heard that name, she immediately sensed something was wrong.

Because no one at this school ever called Mei the "Third Herrscher."

"Yes, yes, that should be the name. Little girl, tell me where she is, quick!"

Upon hearing Kiana say Mei's name, the man's eyes immediately turned vicious.

"You're an intruder?!"

Kiana finally realized what was happening.

But the man didn't give her any time to react.

He stretched out his hand, and Kiana's body began to move uncontrollably towards him.
