Chapter 90 - Chapter 90 – The Amethyst Fog Sea Erupts, Reisgem Takes Action

Amethyst Mountain Range.

Sadius had decided to gather a bit more Amethyst.

Bebe would soon be born, and Sadius had to prepare a proper gift for his future Godson.

When Bebe grew up and eventually became a Highgod, he would be a tremendous help to Sadius.

Even Dylin had learned from Sadius that Liya was pregnant, so the two decided to remain in the Amethyst Mountain Range for a while longer before returning to the tribe.

Life in the mountain range continued as usual.

That day, Sadius had already harvested quite a few Amethysts.

"Another pile of Amethyst ore."

Sadius immediately flew over, waiting for the ore to drift toward the edge of the mist.

Other Midgods nearby only backed off farther away.

They had already seen Sadius' strength these past days.

This Midgod's power was absolutely comparable to a Highgod—some even suspected he was a true Highgod concealing his real realm.

So, whenever Sadius appeared, they all made sure to keep their distance.

Soon, Sadius used his giant elemental hand to seize that entire pile of Amethyst ore.

Another ten thousand-plus Amethysts in one go.

Sadius smiled faintly. Another nice bit of income.

"Hahaha! This pile of Amethysts is mine!"

Far away, another Midgod grabbed a fairly large cluster of Amethysts from someone else—at least ten thousand crystals as well.

"Two piles of Amethyst ore! They're both mine!"

Yet another Midgod secured two clusters, each with thousands of crystals.

Very soon, cries of excitement and cheering came from all directions.

What's going on?

Sadius extended his divine sense deep into the fog.

Amethysts! An endless number of Amethysts!

Countless Amethysts were flying outward from within the fog!

What is this situation? Sadius frowned.

By rights, according to the original timeline, the massive Amethyst eruption shouldn't happen for several hundred more years.

So why were so many Amethysts appearing now?

This was… an anomaly!

Sadius didn't make any rash moves.

Amethysts were valuable, yes, but nothing was worth more than his life.

He could always come back later once he confirmed it was safe.

"Dylin, we're immediately leaving the Amethyst Mountain Range!"

"My lord, did you discover something?"

Sadius didn't see any immediate danger, but this massive Amethyst eruption was far from normal.

"I have a bad feeling. This might be a trap."

Dylin nodded. He trusted Sadius' instincts completely and began retreating as well.

The two began flying back at high speed.

But then suddenly—The fog in the Amethyst Mountain Range began to expand violently, spreading outward at terrifying speed.

Countless Midgods didn't even have time to react before they were instantly swallowed up by the rapidly growing mist.

So it really is happening…!

Sadius glanced back at the scene, then pushed his speed to the absolute limit, desperately retreating.

But the fog was too fast.

Sadius quickly realized his escape speed couldn't outpace the spread of the fog!

"My lord!"

Dylin, who was slower than Sadius, was quickly overtaken by the mist.

Sadius turned back, divine power forming a massive elemental hand to pull Dylin out of the mist—

But the moment the elemental hand entered the fog, a streak of purple light flashed, and the giant hand shattered instantly!

The fog kept pressing closer.

Sadius had no choice but to keep fleeing.

"Little ones, KILL!"

Suddenly, Sadius heard a voice echoing from within the fog.

"Impossible!"

Sadius' pupils contracted sharply.

Reisgem!

It could only be Reisgem!

But how could this guy appear here, on the outer perimeter of the Amethyst Mountain Range?

Sadius instantly understood.

This entire fog surge was caused by Reisgem!

But by all rights, Reisgem should still be napping deep within the mountain range's core right now. Why would he come outside so early?

A possibility struck Sadius.

Could his own arrival here have triggered a butterfly effect?

Was Reisgem coming specifically for him?

Sadius clenched his teeth and unleashed his full speed, fleeing without pausing for even a single breath.

Inside the fog, Reisgem was sitting lazily atop a massive Amethyst beast, commanding the creatures as they slaughtered everything in their path.

"Hmm? That Midgod's quite fast… even a bit quicker than most wind-element Highgods."

Reisgem had already locked onto Sadius, thanks to the soul aura provided by the Purple-Gold Sovereign.

He'd marked Sadius' location long ago, but he wanted to play around a bit more before actually capturing him.

"I can't keep running like this. Dylin's already been swallowed by the fog. He absolutely won't survive against those Amethyst beasts!"

These beasts could kill even a Highgod with ease.

Sadius immediately made up his mind, preparing himself fully.

Sword in hand, he charged back into the fog!

"Well now… he actually has some guts, didn't abandon his companion and flee."

Reisgem raised a brow in mild surprise.

Nearby, an Amethyst beast was holding Dylin in its maw. Strangely, it hadn't killed him yet.

"Go test that guy's strength," Reisgem ordered another Amethyst beast.

Immediately, that beast shot forward toward Sadius.

As soon as Sadius reentered the fog, he instantly felt a powerful impact on his soul.

Thankfully, he was wearing the Coiling Dragon Ring, a damaged soul-defense Sovereign artifact.

The strange soul attacks of the fog were largely neutralized by the ring's residual protection.

Even so, faint wisps of soul energy still slipped through the artifact's cracks and seeped into Sadius' spiritual sea.

"Damn it!"

Sadius had lost his innate Azure Dragon Transformation, and the soul's natural automatic defense tied to his Azure Dragon soul was now gone.

He had no innate way to resist mental attacks anymore.

But then he realized—The fog wasn't actually doing much damage to his soul. It only felt… slightly uncomfortable.

This is a trait of my three-way soul mutation, it's resisting the soul interference of the fog?!

Sadius instantly understood. That's why his divine sense could penetrate deeper into the fog than others earlier.

He immediately spread his divine sense, scanning the surroundings.

The next second, he sensed a massive beast rushing toward him from the distance.

"Amethyst beast!"

Sadius raised his sword, not daring to underestimate it.

These Amethyst beasts had stronger attacks than most Highgods. On top of that, they were completely immune to soul attacks, making them extremely hard to deal with.

Sadius didn't hesitate.

He unleashed his trump card—Oblivion Sword Intent!

CLANG!!!

When the sword aura struck the Amethyst beast's body, it left behind a sword mark—but the beast was only knocked back about a hundred meters.

"A law-fusion ultimate attack… This guy's a soul mutation cultivator! And that's a God Spark weapon he's holding. Ada isn't his match."

From afar, Reisgem observed the clash and immediately ordered the Amethyst beast to retreat.

Indeed, even when Sadius' sword aura landed on the beast, it only carved a shallow sword mark.

Most of the Oblivion Sword Intent contained soul attack power, which was useless against the Amethyst beast, slightly reducing the overall effectiveness.

The Amethyst beast, receiving Reisgem's command, instantly retreated.

Sadius chased for only a few breaths before suddenly feeling his body freeze slightly—

Then his entire body seemed to start sinking down!

"Damn it… it's the Amethyst Space!"
