Unable to find anything through investigation, Beirut eventually asked Sadius for a drop of essence blood from when he used the Azure Dragon Transformation.
He wanted to compare Sadius' essence blood with that of the Azure Dragon, Redding to see what differences there might be.
Sadius was reluctant. For a Divine Beast, essence blood was equivalent to the very source of its power—losing even a single drop would impact its strength.
Yet Sadius couldn't refuse. He could only transform into the Azure Dragon, force out a drop of essence blood, and hand it to Beirut.
With that done, Beirut got to the main topic.
"I plan to open the Necropolis of the Gods ahead of schedule."
Sadius became visibly excited upon hearing this.
Beirut was actually going to open the Necropolis of the Gods early? It seemed he had already chosen Bluefire to become the lower sovereign of fire.
But if the Necropolis of the Gods was opened now… what would happen to Linley, who wasn't even due to be born for another two centuries? How would he obtain his opportunity to become a deity?
The more Sadius thought about it, the more he realized something didn't add up.
By then, would Linley even exist at all?
What Sadius hadn't expected was that the future of the entire Coiling Dragon universe had already diverged from its original course because of his involvement.
"According to the previous rules, each Deity-level power on the Yulan continent would receive a number of entry slots, allowing their Saint-level subordinates to enter the Necropolis of the Gods. And all Deity-level figures had to enter starting from the twelfth floor."
"But this time, the rules will be slightly adjusted."
Adjusted rules? Why?
"Bluefire will enter directly from the fifteenth floor of the Necropolis of the Gods."
Sadius understood—Bluefire was simply too powerful. On his own, he could sweep through the Necropolis with any number of Deities at his side.
"And how do you plan to establish your own faction?" Beirut asked.
"I have no plans to form a faction. I don't even have any Saint-level subordinates."
"Lord Beirut, the Magical Beast Mountain Range is already my territory. As for Dylin, I believe he can manage the Sunset Mountains just fine," Sadius said with a cheeky grin.
There were only three major magical beast strongholds on the entire Yulan continent: the Magical Beast Mountain Range, the Sunset Mountains, and the Forest of Darkness.
Naturally, Sadius intended to bring the Sunset Mountains under his control.
"You little brat. Aren't you worried about biting off more than you can chew? The Necropolis of the Gods is extremely dangerous. Having more magical beasts doesn't mean you'll have a better chance at obtaining Divine Sparks. Be careful your subordinates don't all die inside."
Sadius just chuckled.
Magical beasts seeking Divinity had to take risks, after all.
Besides, Sadius already had five Divine Sparks in his possession. He was only allowing a few of his magical beasts to participate for their own opportunities.
With matters concluded, Sadius and Bluefire left the Forest of Darkness.
The three Rat Kings still wanted to gather with Sadius, but Beirut pinned them down, instructing them to continue teaching the two little rats. They weren't going anywhere.
Upon returning to the Magical Beast Mountain Range, a group of Saint-level magical beasts was already gathered behind Dylin, waiting for Sadius to return.
"Lord Patriarch, I didn't expect you to actually become a God!" exclaimed the Saint-level Tyrannosaurus Rex.
"Harsel, you need to keep pushing too. You've already grasped the Profound Truths of Evil. You need to rely on your own training to become a deity."
Among Sadius' subordinates, the Saint-level Tyrannosaurus Rex, Harsel, had the highest potential. The other beasts hadn't even touched the threshold of the Laws.
Not long after, Bluefire's two elder brothers also flew out of the palace.
"Third Brother, you're back."
Bluefire nodded and stood with his two older brothers, talking about something in private.
Then Bluefire approached Sadius.
"Sadius, my brothers and I still have matters to attend to. We'll be leaving now."
"Mr. Leylin, if that's the case, I won't keep you. I hope we can exchange pointers again someday."
"Of course."
Bluefire took his two Midgods and left, leaving only Sadius' own people behind.
"Everyone, let's return to the palace to talk."
Sadius glanced around and noticed that a few of the present Saint-level magical beasts were ones he hadn't seen before. It seemed the Magical Beast Mountain Range housed more Saint-level beasts than he'd previously thought.
He also saw a Black-Armored Giant Scorpion—very likely the same one that performed remarkably in the Necropolis of the Gods in the original story.
But at this point, it hadn't yet grasped any Laws, so it still hadn't reached the peak of the Saint-level.
Inside the palace, Sadius saw Reyna again.
She was now in her twenties and had become a ninth-level Light Magus.
"Reyna, who's this little one?"
Looking at the boy—already in his teens—Sadius was confused. He'd only been gone for ten years. How could Reyna already have a child this old?
"My lord, this is Jason, Uncle Ander's son."
"A descendant of the Baruch clan, eh? Looks like he's already awakened the Dragonblood Warrior lineage. He'll surely become a powerful Saint-level warrior one day."
Sadius was already aware that Baruch and his son had joined the Beast Alliance.
They had been persecuted by the Radiant Church and rescued by Sadius, so naturally they were grateful to him.
Both father and son had since become Saint-level experts. However, by becoming Descent Angels, they lost their noble Dragonblood Warrior lineage and could no longer become Dragonblood Warriors through their Saint-level forms.
Fortunately, the Baruch clan still had descendants to carry on the bloodline.
Otherwise, the legend of the Dragonblood Warriors on the Yulan continent would have truly faded into history.
Back in the palace, Sadius looked over everyone—both magical beasts and humans.
"Everyone, I have good news to share."
The magical beasts quieted, waiting for Sadius to speak.
"Lord Beirut has decided to open the Necropolis of the Gods ahead of schedule."
The magical beasts looked at each other in confusion. Most of them had never even heard of the Necropolis of the Gods.
Only the five Saint-level magical beasts who had followed Sadius from the beginning understood what it was.
Sadius didn't bother explaining again.
Dylin, of course, knew about the Necropolis.
From what he knew, it wasn't supposed to open for another three hundred years. He hadn't expected Lord Beirut to open it early.
"Dylin, take your three children and go to the Sunset Mountains to establish a Deity-level faction. That way, you can also secure a few Saint-level entry slots for the Necropolis."
Dylin was puzzled. Sadius had demanded his loyalty for a thousand years, so why send him away from the Magical Beast Mountain Range?
After a moment's thought, Dylin understood.
Each Deity-level faction had a limited number of entry slots. By creating an additional faction, they could gain more total slots.
"Very well. I'll follow your orders."
"Harsel, the Beast Alliance has six entry slots. I'll leave the candidate selection to you. The Necropolis of the Gods is extremely dangerous. You must choose wisely. Now, let's move on to our next topic—attacking the Radiant Alliance."
The magical beasts grew excited.
Ever since the war ten years ago, Sadius' fame had spread across the continent. As a result, many hidden Saint-level magical beasts had come out of seclusion and joined the Beast Alliance.
Now, the Beast Alliance alone had twenty Saint-level magical beasts.
They'd long been eager to strike the Radiant Alliance.
Ever since Heidens had been slain by Sadius, the Radiant Church's Saint-level experts had been almost completely wiped out.
The Dark Church had taken the opportunity to invade the Radiant Alliance's territory.
But even a dying camel is bigger than a horse and with the Radiant Church still able to occasionally summon Descent Angels from the Lord of Light, they had barely managed to survive after losing half their territory.
Now, Sadius planned to utterly destroy the Radiant Church.
As for the Dark Church—if they didn't know their place, Sadius wouldn't mind wiping them out as well.
"After this attack, I'll reward you all based on merit. This time, the rewards will exceed your wildest expectations."
