At the other side of the city where Yuji's house was, Yuji woke up and sat up straight, he had a tired look on his face "Ahhh! What the hell? Why are fireworks blasting all over the place?", Yuji muttered to himself while scratching his hair. He looked at outside and realised that it was already dark, Yuji was surprised "Uh?! It's dark outside? What time is it?", Yuji picked up his phone from the others side of his bed and realised the time was 8:15PM. Yuji blinked "Wow, it's that late already?", he asked himself before getting up from his bed. As soon as he got up from his bed, Yuji started to do stretches, after that, he looked around the room "There isn't any light?", he thought to himself before flipping the light switch of his room "Oh, there is light.", and then switched it off. He went out of his room while scratching his eye "Wow, I really slept that long? I must have been very tired.", Yuji walked all the way to his living room and saw his grandpa sitting on the coach "Hey grandpa.", Yuji greeted. Nagumo responded "You've been a sleep for a while. Are you okay?". Yuji replied while trying to drink some water from the water dispenser "Nah, I'm fine. I just felt like being lazy today. I mean, it's not every time I get to enjoy myself. The elimination rounds really tired me out. Luckily I didn't make it to the gladiator rounds, and I didn't bother to watch any of the fights.", Yuji started to drink up some water. After drinking, he took a sigh "Ahh! Never thought water would be so relaxing after taking a nap.". Nagumo then called out to Yuji "Yuji boy.", Yuji turned and responded "Yes, grandpa?", Nagumo explained "There's a festival going on outside, it's called the fireworks festival. Go outside and enjoy yourself. You've been inside all day, you should get some fresh air. And change before you go too.". Yuji took another deep and lazy sigh "Fine, I'll go.". A few minutes went by, Yuji had gone to change into some fresh clothes, he was wearing a blue short sleeved shirt, the buttons weren't plucked in, and he wore an inner white shirt and a dark blue jean with a wrist band "Here, does this look good?", Yuji asked his grandfather. Nagumo replied "It looks good on you. Now go have some fun. You have some money with you, right?". Yuji took a look at his phone in order to check the amount of money he had left "Ahhh.", he realized that he had about fourty- six thousand Neroids, he looked at his grandpa "Yeah, I've got some money.". As Yuji was about to walk out, he waved to Nagumo "Alright gramps, I'll be back by 11:00PM on the dot.",Nagumo then called to him "Yuji.", Yuji turned "Yeah, grandpa?". Nagumo gave Yuji some money "Here, have this three thousand Neroids.". Yuji was a bit stunned "Wait a minute..! Is that three thousand Neroids.... IN PURE CASH?!!!", Yuji took the money from his grandpa "Thanks grandpa, I'll be off now.", Yuji left the house. Nagumo had his usual straight face before he just smiled "Hm, have fun, my dear grandson.", he muttered to himself. A few minutes later, Yuji was walking on the lively streets of the city, he looked around as he saw decorations and a large number of teens and adults all over the place. The district was filled with people buying food, weapons, fireworks and laughter, Yuji analysed the area for a while "Looks like everyone's having fun.". Suddenly, his stomach growled, Yuji was a bit caught off guard by this "Oh, that's right. The only thing I've eaten today was just breakfast. I was too focused on playing games and reading visual novels to realise that I should have gotten up and eaten something. Whatever, I'll just eat something now.". Yuji went over to a food vendor that was selling some chicken "Hey, mister. How much for this whole chicken.", Yuji asked, the vendor replied "It's 40 Neroids. Although I'm willing to sell it for 35 Neroids.". Yuji thought to himself "35 Neroids on just one whole chicken is a bit expensive talk less of 40, don't you think?". After buying that, Yuji just walked off "Hm, looks like I've gotten something to eat. But where am I going to eat at? Everywhere's crowded.". Yuji took another sigh "Aahh, whatever. I'll just go to some excluded place to eat.". Meanwhile as Yuji had passed by a mall, Regina had spotted him while she was carrying some bags of clothes "Huh? Is that Yuji?", she asked herself. A few moments go by, Yuji was sitted on a grassy place with a river at its front, he sat down to eat his meal "Hm, I wonder how Kazuma and the rest are doing. They're probably having fun or something." Yuji thought to himself. As he kept eating, he noticed that the area around him was quiet, he looked around "Hm, this place sure is quiet. Well I can't say it's bad, but I wasn't expecting a city filed with festivities to have a side so quiet. Looks like I'm having my quiet moment to eat my food in piece.". As Yuji kept eating, something slowly approached him from the far shadows, it was a person's foot walking towards him from the dark. As soon as he took another bite from his chicken, Yuji paused for a moment, his blue eyes immediately became still as they narrowed. As the footsteps from the shadows came closer, Yuji kept quiet and didn't move. He slowly pulled out the tooth pick he was using to eat his chicken out of his mouth, his eyes were still narrowed and starting to get sharp. As soon as he slowly kept his tooth pick down, something bursted out of the shadows like it was ready to kill Yuji. Yuji's killer instincts activated, his eyes became sharp like a predator's and was ready use the tooth pick to kill whatever was after him. But before he could fully turn, Regina had hugged him from behind "GOTCHA, YUJII!~", Yuji was stunned "HUUUUUUUH!! WHERE DID SHE COME FROM?!". The figure that walked out of the shadows and seemingly tried to attack him, was the girl who shared the same feelings as him. [REGINA STARFALL].
