While everyone was having fun in different parts of the city, Kazuma was by himself standing on a hill. He had a clone of himself standing right beside him, Kazuma charged up energy into his hands "Alright, let's go.". His clone then counted down "Ready? Set? FIRE!!", Kazuma immediately started shooting out fireworks made out of his purple energy into the sky. After shooting a hundred of them at once, his clone shot a powerful beam at the fireworks, this caused a massive explosion of purple energy that resembled that of fireworks. Kazuma grinned as he looked at the purple explosion of fireworks lighting up the sky around him "Hm! Nice! Let's try this again!", he charger up more energy into his hands and stretched them out "Here I go! Here comes MORE!!", he shot out fireworks made out of his purple energy into the air. Kazuma's clone snapped its finger, this caused the fireworks constructs of his energy to set off into the sky. Kazuma and his clone started laughing "MAHN, THAT WAS FUN!", Kazuma's clone exclaimed, Kazuma added while laughing as he sat down on the grassy floor "Tell me about it.". A few seconds go by and the explosions clear off, Kazuma took a sigh "Hwooo! That was fun!", Kazuma turned to his clone and gave it his phone "Here, go buy me something to eat. Got it?", his clone replied "You could easily just use your card for it.". Kazuma just sighed "Yeah I can. Until you realise that there's a long line of people using cards to transfer their money and if you don't buy your food fast, all the food would be gone in seconds.", Kazuma's clone just sighed "Whatever.", and teleported away. A few moments later, Kazuma was eating an entire beef roll with some fries and chicken. Kazuma took a huge sigh while eating by himself "Ahhh! Mahn, this is the life. Eating by yourself, the environment is vibrant, and no one to bother you.". Kazuma kept on eating by himself until he pasued "Then again, having Mio around me sounds good. I wonder what's she's doing.". Kazuma grabbed one of his two fireworks that was laying on a tree, he ignited it and then shot it into the air, the firework blew up in the air with a red colour. Kazuma didn't say or do anything, he just looked at the explosions firing all over the sky while he ate. Kazuma took a sigh as he kept eating "This is the stuff.". Suddenly, he heard leaves rustling behind him, Kazuma turned back "Hm? Is anyone there?", he asked, Mio then walked out of the bushes "Ah, where is he?!", she complained before she looked forward and saw Kazuma sitting by himself with food. Mio was stunned "Ah? Kazuma?!", Kazuma waved at her "Hey, Mio. What's up?!". Mio popped a vien and yelled at him with annoyance "WHAT THE HELL'S WRONG WITH YOU?! IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU EVERYWHERE!", Kazuma asked while munching down on his food "Why? Is there a problem?". Mio got even more annoyed "Tch! Don't ask me questions!", she exclaimed. Mio seemed upset as she sat by Kazuma, she didn't say a word to him. Her arms were folded and she was pouting while looking at another direction. Kazuma looked at her after swallowing some food "You know, I don't know why you're mad at me. You could have just called my phone and asked me where i was.", Mio didn't respond to him at all. Kazuma took a look at his phone and realised he had a miss call from Mio "Oh.", he blinked and muttered with a straight face. Mio yelled at him again "DONT JUST SAY *Oh* AND BLINK! I HAD TO TRACK YOUR ENERGY JUST TO LOOK FOR YOU! I WANTED TO HAND OUT WITH YOU, THAT'S WHY I CALLED YOU TO ASK YOU WHERE YOU'VE BEEN!", Kazuma replied "Okay, calm down tiger.", Mio yelled again "NO I WON'T!". Another set of minutes go by, Mio had just finished eating some rice, she exclaimed with relief "Ahhh! That hit the spot!", Kazuma looked at her as he sipped a drink "You know, you were just mad at me a few seconds ago.", Mio just scoffed as she waved her hand "Whatever, the past's the past.", Kazuma had a nervous smile on his face and responded to Mio "That past was just 5 minutes ago.". Mio then looked at Kazuma and asked "So, how are you? You enjoying yourself?", Kazuma responded "Yep, I am. It's not all the time you come outside and have a little fun by yourself. Not just that, but I get to eat whatever I want without being worried too much.". Mio looked at Kazuma's meal "How much was all that food you're eating?", Kazuma responded as he took a bite out of his chicken "The beef roll was 40 Neroids. The chips was 30 and the chicken was 10.", Mio replied with a dumbfounded look "You spend too much money on food you idiot. And you're eating more than I do.". Kazuma placed down his meal and rubbed off whatever stains that were on his lips "Ahhh! That was good....", he turned to Mio and asked "Are you feeling better now? You got knocked out In your fight against Regina.", Mio replied while looking away "I don't want to talk about it!", Kazuma teased with a smile "Offcourse you don't.". Kazuma looked at the sky for a moment "Hey, Mio. You wanna know what I think? I think you were great out there. I'm talking about the fight you had against Regina.", Mio turned to Kazuma with a look of surprise "Huh? You do?", she asked as fireworks lit up the sky. Kazuma responded "Yeah, I did. You were holding back at first coz you were scared of hurting Regina. But then, you pushed through. That small trauma you felt for hurting someone who was important to you didn't have an effect on you. You made sure to push that trauma aside and then focused on the challenge at the moment. You really are awesome.". Mio's eye's widened "You.... you really think so?", she asked, Kazuma replied while looking at her "Yeah, I do. Sometimes I wish to be you.". Mio was a bit stunned by what Kazuma just said "Wish to be like me? Why?", Kazuma looked at her with a smile and explained "Because, when you're in intense situations, you don't get too excited. You make sure to finish the job....". Kazuma was on the virge of laughing "But me? Oh mahn, I'm a problem. I get too excited, especially in missions, and I tend to do the most risky things imaginable. You should have seen how I dealt with White in the gladiator rounds. I was tweaking!", Mio replied stunned "Wait, you fought White?", Kazuma replied "Yep, I did. I broke his arms and knocked him out on the head. I rage baited him and made him fight for his life. Should have seen it.". Mio was a bit concerned with small frown on her face "Are you sure you're okay, Kazuma?", Kazuma replied "Oh, no. I'm fine.". Kazuma just took a deep breath "Well, whatever. I'm just glad that the gladiator rounds are done for and now I can go take a break.", he looked at Mio and asked "So, what are you planning on doing during the one week break?". Without warning, Mio immediately hugged him while blushing with a shy look on her face "Kazuma. I'm... I'm so glad that we're still here. Talking to each other and laughing, I'm just so glad we can do that. Going back and forth on missions isn't an easy thing. So many kids our age are dead, but we're still alive. I'm so happy.". Kazuma was a bit stunned before smiling softly at Mio "Yeah, I'm glad too.", he said softly. Kazuma crossed his right arm and held Mio's waiste. Suddenly, more fireworks started to blast into the sky, the light of the fireworks illuminated the night sky as well as the both Mio and Kazuma. Kazuma then said "I'm glad, I'm really, really glad that we both are still alive and well to experience this together.".
