SEASON 2 — EPISODE 6: FIRST HUNT REBORN
Cold Open — Blood in the Snow
RECAP MONTAGE:
• Ep. 4: Xavier partially unmasks the Cloaked Hunter — his mentor's face beneath.
• Ep. 5: Xavier hits Level 50, gains Hunter's Duality, defeats Titan Warlord while fighting the Cloaked Hunter simultaneously.
• Shadow King: "Accelerate the First Hunt."
EXT. FROSTWRAITH EXPANSE — PRE-DAWN
Snow drifts silently over the collapsed Titan Warlord.
Xavier examines the Cloaked Hunter's broken weapon — runes faintly glowing, ancient and familiar.
Behind him, Kai jogs up, tossing him a communicator crystal.
KAI:
"Guild Master says they've found something. North ridge. You're not gonna like it."
The crystal flickers — Guild Master's voice:
"It's a battlefield, Xavier. A big one. And it's not from our time."
Act 1 — The Frozen Graveyard
EXT. FIRST HUNT BATTLEFIELD — DAY
They arrive to find a canyon lined with Titan skeletons locked in combat poses against armored human giants — each the size of small Titans, carrying weapons made from beast bone and star metal.
KAI:
"…Humans this big?"
GUILD MASTER:
"Not anymore. These were the First Hunters — the ones who fought alongside Titans to seal something even worse."
Before Xavier can process it, the ground quakes — a massive frost seal shatters beneath the skeletons.
From it emerges the Ice Revenant — a Titan-class humanoid wreathed in frostfire, carrying a blade longer than a Hunter airship.
HUD:
Threat Level: 90 — Class: First Hunt Remnant
Act 2 — Ambush in the Storm
The Revenant charges, swings sending shockwaves that throw Xavier and Kai into separate parts of the battlefield.
As Xavier recovers, a shadow steps out from behind a Titan ribcage — the Cloaked Hunter, abdomen still bandaged from Episode 5.
CLOAKED HUNTER:
"Now you see it. Titans weren't our enemies — they were our allies. The First Hunt… was to stop what's coming back."
Xavier:
"And you think killing cities is going to prepare us for that?"
The Revenant's roar cuts the argument short — the beast leaps toward them, forcing both to dodge.
Act 3 — Reluctant Alliance
The Revenant attacks both indiscriminately.
Xavier and Cloaked Hunter fight back-to-back for the first time — Xavier using Hunter's Duality to split strikes between the Revenant and defending against Cloaked Hunter's opportunistic swipes.
Mid-combat, Cloaked Hunter explains between breaths:
"The First Hunt sealed the World-Eater — a Titan beyond the King. Your Dragon? My Titans? Pawns in a bigger game. And the Shadow King… wants it unsealed."
XAVIER:
"Then why work for him?"
CLOAKED HUNTER:
"Because I can't kill him. Not yet."
Act 4 — Breaking the Revenant
The Revenant pins Xavier under its massive sword — Cloaked Hunter throws his scythe to knock it aside, but gets blasted across the battlefield for his trouble.
Xavier engages Limit Break Overdrive, lightning and golden arcs flooding the sky.
He leaps onto the Revenant's head, driving his blade into its skull and releasing Arc Storm Cleave straight down its spine.
HUD:
LEVEL UP! 50 → 55
NEW ABILITY: First Hunt Resonance — Increased damage against First Hunt remnants & ancient-class foes.
The Revenant collapses — frostfire extinguished.
Act 5 — The Promise
Xavier approaches the battered Cloaked Hunter, blade drawn.
XAVIER:
"You could've killed me today. You didn't. Why?"
CLOAKED HUNTER:
"Because when the World-Eater wakes… you're going to need me. And I'm going to need you."
Before Xavier can respond, the Cloaked Hunter throws down a frost-smoke vial and vanishes into the snow.
Ending Cliffhanger
INT. SHADOW KING'S THRONE ROOM — NIGHT
The Shadow King watches as cultists carve a massive seal into the floor.
Far below, in a cavern of black ice, something breathes — each exhale shaking the walls.
SHADOW KING:
"The First Hunt begins again."
