SEASON 2 — EPISODE 11: THE HUNT BEYOND THE STARS
Cold Open — Departure from the Old World
RECAP MONTAGE:
• Episode 10: Xavier wounds the World-Eater from the inside.
• Permanent boosts: Transcendent Physique, Absolute Velocity, Predator's Supremacy.
• Shadow King vows the World-Eater will return.
• The Continent of Titans lies in ruins.
EXT. GUILD DOCKS — NIGHT
The Hunter Guild Arkship towers above the city, silver hull glowing with runic lines. The air hums with mana reactors warming for launch.
KAI (walking alongside Xavier):
"Outer Expanse isn't a battlefield, it's a graveyard. Nobody comes back the same."
XAVIER (grinning, eyes glowing faintly):
"Good. I'm not the same already."
As the Arkship lifts into the clouds, the camera pulls back to show the entire continent beneath — scarred, broken… and no longer enough for him.
Act 1 — First Contact
EXT. OUTER EXPANSE — DEEP SPACE
The Arkship emerges from warp into a crimson nebula — where colossal silhouettes drift like living asteroids.
HUD ALERT:
• Lifeform Detected — Class: Apex Predator
• Level: 4,300
The creature moves — a serpent the size of a moon, its body laced with crystal lightning.
CAPTAIN (over comms):
"That's no migration pattern… it's circling us."
The serpent strikes. Hunters scatter into space on flight rigs. Xavier leaps without hesitation, Apex energy flaring like a comet's tail.
Act 2 — Space Hunt
Zero gravity changes everything — thrust replaces footwork. The serpent coils around the Arkship, crushing the hull.
Xavier uses Absolute Velocity to blink in and out along the serpent's body, carving deep molten gashes. But in space, every strike pushes him away — the serpent exploits this, snapping at him between teleports.
SYSTEM ALERT: Gravity Anchor Unlocked — Allows aerial control in zero-G environments.
Now he fights like he's on solid ground, dashing across the serpent's coils until he reaches its head.
Act 3 — Starborn Duel
The serpent's scales split, revealing a humanoid figure fused to its skull — A Starborn Hunter, the serpent's master.
Level: 5,000
The Starborn moves faster than most humans can see, dual-wielding plasma-edged blades. Each clash sends out shockwaves that rattle the Arkship.
Kai and two elite hunters try to assist — but the Starborn's aura crushes them back, leaving Xavier alone.
The duel becomes a blur — teleport, slash, parry, teleport again — until Xavier sees it: a half-second gap in the Starborn's defense.
He drives his blade into the fusion point, severing master from beast. The serpent convulses, then goes still.
Act 4 — The Mark of Prey
As the Starborn dies, a burning sigil appears in the void above: a circle of black fire with twelve eyes.
HUD:
Designation Updated: "Anomaly-Class Prey — Bounty Active"
KAI (over comms):
"That's the Starfall Tribunal's mark. Congratulations, rookie — the strongest hunters in the galaxy are now coming for your head."
Xavier just smirks, spinning his blade once before sheathing it.
Act 5 — New Limits
The Arkship's systems scan him post-battle:
• Level Up: 100 → 2,500
• Permanent Boost: Gravity Anchor (passive — mobility in any environment)
• New Skill: Star Killer's Edge — Bonus damage against enemies marked by the Starfall Tribunal.
XAVIER:
"If they're coming… they better bring something worth hunting."
Ending Cliffhanger — The Tribunal Responds
INT. STARFALL TRIBUNAL HALL — UNKNOWN SYSTEM
Twelve figures sit in a ring around a burning star. One speaks — a towering being in silver armor:
TRIBUNAL MASTER:
"The boy killed one of ours. Level 2,500 after a single off-world hunt. He will exceed ten thousand by the season's end… unless we stop him."
The twelve rise in unison. Behind them, projections of enemies far stronger than the World-Eater flicker into view — some with level ratings in the tens of thousands.
