Chapter 45: Harvest Time!
Two years later.
Inside a secluded cave within the Star Dou Great Forest's mixed circle,
Liu Yanyang sat cross-legged in meditation. The surrounding celestial energy began to churn, and his soul power began to accelerate.
After a few breaths, he slowly opened his eyes and carefully felt his entire body.
He muttered to himself, "Finally, I've reached level 50!"
He stood up and stretched, and a crackling sound echoed. This breakout retreat had taken a while!
Then, he strode out of the cave, heading deeper into the mixed circle.
A quarter of an hour later, he leaped onto a large tree and gazed ahead at the dark cave, reeking of blood.
This was the cave of a fifty-thousand-year-old Tyrannosaurus Rex. Liu Yanyang had spent three full months observing it, figuring out its daily routine.
Not long after, a ten-meter-tall Tyrannosaurus Rex emerged from the cave, its body covered in hard rock armor, its bloody maw exhaling hot air.
He watched it slowly pass by until it disappeared into the depths of the forest.
Liu Yanyang immediately set out, entering the cavern and surveying the scattered bones and debris.
The air was thick with a putrid stench. Holding his nose, he stood in the center, using his spiritual power to sense the interior.
Finally, a vibration reached a certain location, and he immediately rushed towards its source.
He saw a khaki bone, pulsing with soul energy, lying quietly on a clean stone platform.
Liu Yanyang's body trembled slightly as he gently picked it up, examining it closely. It was the torso bone of a 30,000-year-old Earth Tyrannosaurus!
"Two years, two whole years!"
"Who knows how he managed these past two years!"
"Finally, today, he successfully found the soul bone!"
Liu Yanyang sighed with emotion, his eyes moistening.
He placed the soul bone in an iron box, stored it in his storage soul guide, and immediately left the Earth Tyrannosaurus' cave.
Returning to his own cave, he retrieved two jade boxes and an iron box from his storage soul guide.
The iron box contained the newly acquired torso bone of the Earth Tyrannosaurus, a 30,000-year-old, top-grade soul bone.
The jade box contained a 40,000-year-old Star-Moon Spiritual Radiance and a 40,000-year-old Shining Sun Radiance.
Consuming the Star-Moon Spiritual Radiance absorbs the essence of heaven and earth and the radiance of the moon.
Consuming the Shining Sun Radiance, on the other hand, absorbs the essence of heaven and earth and the radiance of the sun.
The two coexist, often growing together, attracting and promoting each other.
Consuming them together can transform and evolve a light-attributed soul beast or treasure-type spirit.
It was a fortuitous discovery, made in a strange cave built by a 40,000-year-old Silver Moon Fox.
These three items were the harvest of two years in the Star Dou Great Forest.
"This trip has been worthwhile!" Liu Yanyang sighed.
Now it's time to harvest these leeks I've raised for so long!
---
A few days later.
On a deserted path near Notting City,
Liu Yanyang, dressed in a black robe, held a detailed map of Notting City and its surroundings.
His gaze fixed on the words "Holy Soul Village" on the map, gazing out from it.
Not far above the words "Holy Soul Village" stood a long horizontal line, intercepting a shorter vertical line.
"Isn't that the map number for the waterfall?" Liu Yanyang wondered.
So, there was no need to search around Holy Soul Village; it was right there on the map!
"Right? The original description described a waterfall about 20 meters wide running along a 200-meter-high mountain wall. How could it not be marked on the map?"
"After all, this is a detailed map I bought at great expense on the black market."
Yesterday, he visited Notting City College and discovered that Little Bum and Old Rabbit had already left for Soto City.
"Then, Tang Hao will go with them, to prevent them from encountering high-level spirit masters on their way to Shrek Academy. After all, who wouldn't drool at the sight of a hundred-thousand-year-old transformed spirit beast?"
"In that case, I'll accept the grass and spirit bones with tears in my eyes!"
Hehehehe...
After putting away the map, he looked around to see if there was anyone around, then he immediately summoned his golden-scaled wings and flew off into the distance.
An hour later, above a rolling hillside, Liu Yanyang gently flapped his wings and hovered in mid-air.
With a slight smile on his face, he quickly soared deep into the mountains.
Before long, a deep blue pool came into view, and above it, a vast waterfall.
Without further ado, he flew to the middle of the waterfall, his spirit power surging, and he slammed his palm against the stone wall.
He didn't know where the mechanism on the stone wall was located; the original text described Tang Hao pressing a certain point on the stone wall to trigger it.
But, after all, great strength works miracles!
"Rumble..." The sound of the mechanism creaked, and a stone portal appeared.
Liu Yanyang flapped his wings and flew directly into the cave. It was pitch black inside. He retrieved his lighting spirit device from his storage device.
He walked deeper into the cave, and soon arrived at the inner chamber.
A small mound of earth sat on the ground, where a slender, golden-veined Blue Silver Grass swayed in the wind.
A stone hole above it let in a few glimmers of sunlight.
Liu Yanyang squatted in front of the mound, muttering to himself.
"Speaking of which, is this little sunlight enough for you to photosynthesize, Blue Silver Emperor?"
Watching the flickering sunlight, Liu Yanyang's lips curled slightly.
"It seems Tang Hao doesn't love you, Madam!"
"Then I'll show mercy and find you a good family!"
The Blue Silver Emperor on the ground seemed to sense danger, thrashing its branches and leaves.
Liu Yanyang grabbed the Blue Silver Emperor, yanked it from the earth, and reburied it in the prepared pot.
After collecting it, he tossed both the grass and the pot into his Ruyi Treasure Bag.
Then, he stood up, walked to the stone wall on the other side, and gave it a strong slap. With a ding-dong sound, a black lead box fell from the sky and landed in his hand.
He opened the box and saw a right leg bone that was a crystal clear blue-gold.
The corners of his mouth curled up slightly, "Little punk, your soul bone is so beautiful!"
Then, he put the lead box into his storage soul guide and walked straight out of the cave.
Suddenly, he stopped and looked at the stone wall, his mouth curled up again.
"It's impolite not to reciprocate! I should at least give something to the host!"
He picked up a stone and walked to a dry wall, leaving a mark.
"With nothing better to do, I'm listening to music in a brothel!"
"I overheard a blond, blue-eyed man named Dai... or David... I forgot, saying a treasure had been unearthed here."
"I was so excited that I traveled a thousand miles to get here, and there really is a 100,000-year-old soul bone!"
"God is merciful and has favored me. I also want to thank the cave owner for his gift."
"By the way, I'm not a grass lover, but I'll definitely find a grass-loving family for it!"
Signed: Soul Palace Guardian - Ritian Douluo, visited!
"Hehehe," he threw away the stone and slowly walked out of the cave.
Would Tang Hao mistake the Soul Palace for the Spirit Hall or cause trouble for Dai Weis? No, he didn't mention Dai Weis, so what did it have to do with Liu Yanyang?
He walked to the cave entrance, summoned the Golden Scale Wings, and flew towards Soto City.
