Chapter 22:Game of Gamblers

The concierge accepted the visiting card, asked Liu Yanyang to wait for a moment, and turned to leave quickly.

After a while, the concierge quickly came to Liu Yanyang's side, respectfully invited Liu Yanyang into the mansion, and took him to the living room.

Entering the living room, there was a man sitting on the main seat. He was tall and slender, wearing a dark green robe, with sharp features, a red line between his eyebrows, dark green pupils, and long dark green hair casually draped over his shoulders.

He was leisurely drinking tea, looking at Liu Yanyang with interest, and Dugu Yan, who was standing next to him, was also curious.

"Junior Liu Yanyang, I am honored to meet His Majesty the Poison Emperor and Miss Dugu Yan." Liu Yanyang said with a fist.

Looking at Liu Yanyang, who had a handsome face and extraordinary demeanor, Dugu Bo's mouth curled up slightly, and his tone was cold.

"I've heard the Poyi Clan is renowned for its poison arts, and their leader, Yang Wudi, is a true leader. You're just a young, immature brat, are you trying to deceive me by claiming someone else's name?"

Liu Yanyang felt a little embarrassed. Having been exposed, he could only bite the bullet and feign a casual response. "Senior Yang Wudi and I are close friends. We met by chance a few years ago and have become close friends despite our age differences."

"Oh, really?" Dugu Bo smiled sinisterly, then gestured to the chair in front of him, motioning Liu Yanyang to sit.

Liu Yanyang bowed slightly and sat down, feeling a dampness on his back.

When he looked at Dugu Yan again, he knew today's negotiations were likely hopeless. He could only try to build a closer relationship with Dugu Bo and take things step by step.

He bowed to Dugu Bo and said, "I've heard that Your Majesty is the unrivaled master of poisons, collecting the most toxic substances in the world, including many rare medicinal herbs."

"I boldly wish to trade herbs with Your Majesty. I hope Your Majesty will allow me."

He then pulled a jade bottle and jade box from his soul storage device, placed them on the table, and continued,

"The bottle contains the innate poison produced by an 8,000-year-old human-faced demon spider. It's my gift to you. The jade box contains a nearly ten-thousand-year-old Jade Scale Seven Absolutes flower that I stumbled upon by chance. It's also the subject of this transaction."

Dugu Bo didn't look at the two items on the table. Instead, he stared at Liu Yanyang as he spoke.

From the moment Liu Yanyang entered, Dugu Bo had casually scanned him with his mental power. He found that he couldn't discern Liu Yanyang's spiritual power level.

Until now, even with concentrated mental power, he could only vaguely sense his spiritual power, and even his age was inaccurate. This piqued his interest.

Even Liu Yanyang himself wasn't aware that "Chengying" could block the perception of others, even Titled Douluo.

"This is quite a generous gift. So, what do you want from me?"

Liu Yanyang quickly replied, "As long as the herbs are useful to me, I'll take them. It's entirely up to you, Senior."

Dugu Bo withdrew his spiritual energy and said slowly, "You will be disappointed. I don't have any so-called rare herbs here."

Liu Yanyang thought to himself, "Don't I know whether you have any?" He could only stand up and bow to Dugu Bo.

"It seems my fate is shallow. In this case, I will not disturb Your Majesty's peace. I will take my leave."

He bowed again and turned to leave...

Watching Liu Yanyang disappear, Dugu Yan asked curiously,

"Grandpa, he's just gone like that? He doesn't want the things on the table anymore?"

Dugu Bo's expression immediately changed, and he smiled kindly.

"Yanyan, of course he won't take it. He left the things behind just to get closer to me."

"He's so young, yet he's already thinking so much. And I, your grandfather, can't even tell his exact age."

"Yanyan, remember to stay away from people like this in the future. Be careful not to be sold out and end up counting money for others."

Dugu Yan hugged Dugu Bo's arm and said coquettishly,

"No way! If he dares to lie to me, I'll make him taste the venom of our Jade Scaled Snake. Besides, Tianheng is still here!"

Dugu Bo wanted to enjoy his granddaughter's dependence on him, but when he heard the name Yu Tianheng, his heart suddenly darkened.

"Yanyan, didn't I tell you to stay away from Yu Tianheng?"

Dugu Yan loosened her arms, said "No" unhappily, and ran back to her room, ignoring Dugu Bo.

Watching his granddaughter leave, Dugu Bo shook his head and sighed.

How could he not know what Yu Tianheng was thinking, or what the entire Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon clan was thinking?

But he could only talk about it verbally, never stopping it in private. He didn't know how long he had left. If he died one day, what would happen to his poor granddaughter?

"I can only hope that Yu Tianheng is a responsible man. Otherwise, even if I go to hell, I will climb up and kill Yu Tianheng." Dugu Bo's face was grim.

He then regained his composure and left the mansion, heading in the direction Liu Yanyang had left. He wanted to see how juicy this "big fish" was!

On his way to his hotel room, Liu Yanyang thought, even though he hadn't achieved his goal today, he'd left something behind, making a good start. He'd wait until he visited again, and then he'd reveal his true intentions.

Suddenly, a strong sense of danger washed over him, his nerves tensing, his heart pounding.

This was Liu Yanyang's sixth sense, cultivated over two years in the Star Dou Great Forest. It instantly sensed danger.

He was bewildered. How could there be danger in broad daylight? He'd only just left Dugu Bo's mansion.

"Fuck! Dugu Bo!" he cursed inwardly, then darted into a nearby alley, using his spirit power to quickly activate Chengying, concealing his presence and form.

He paused in the middle of the alley, unmoving, praying that Chengying's cloaking power would conceal him from the Titled Douluo's detection.

Liu Yanyang couldn't understand what had gone wrong. He'd done everything flawlessly upon entering the Dugu Mansion, yet how had he caught Dugu Bo's attention?

Within a few breaths, Dugu Bo had arrived in the alleyway and stood there motionless, his eyes closed, intently focused.

Seeing Dugu Bo so close, Liu Yanyang didn't dare breathe, holding his breath as cold sweat streamed down his forehead.

A few minutes later, Dugu Bo opened his eyes, a look of confusion on his face.

"This is strange! He was right here just now, yet he's gone in just a few breaths. There's no sign of him within a kilometer radius." After standing there for a moment, Dugu Bo turned and left the alley.

Three hours later, as dusk fell, Liu Yanyang collapsed against the wall, breathing heavily, his clothes soaked with sweat.

Being watched by a Titled Douluo lurking like a venomous snake was truly terrifying.

However, Liu Yanyang had already figured out how to convince Dugu Bo.
