Ivy's POV
I looked between my mother and Keir, feeling the weight of our situation pressing down on all of us. "Yeah. It is," I confirmed, my voice steadier than I expected.
"Have you settled in and started on anything?" Keir asked, his concerned gaze fixed on me.
A short laugh escaped my lips. "I've been home for less than a day. My only accomplishment has been cleaning my room."
"Removing the rest of the old scent, I assume?" he asked knowingly.
"Yeah. The Alpha and his son ambushed me at the house the moment I arrived home." The memory still rankled.
Keir's laugh was humorless. "What a joke. They tried to corner you as soon as you got back." His expression shifted to something more serious. "Ivy, I'll have everything ready for you."
The small voice of his daughter piped up. "Daddy?"
"Yeah?" Keir's attention immediately shifted to Keira.
"How fast can the plane get back here?" she asked, her question carrying more weight than her young years should allow.
