Ivy's POV
I let out a bitter laugh as I turned away from the door and flopped back onto my bed. "Did you hear what he just said?"
"What did he say?" Eric pressed, his voice tense with curiosity.
"Oh, just that he wants to be with me now. Apparently dating and sleeping with my sister was just a minor oversight." I rolled my eyes. "Definitely winning the romance award this year." I shifted positions, eager to get back to the real problem. "Look, I think I figured out why the attacks have intensified."
"We're definitely coming back to whatever this boy said to you," Eric said firmly. "But tell me your theory first." I heard the soft creak of a chair as he settled back down, likely having stood up in surprise earlier.
"The shaman and his daughter—who just awakened, by the way—fled to my father's pack." I kept my voice low despite knowing my privacy spell was still active. Some instincts run too deep to ignore.
