Ivy's POV
Bingo. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. The cleaning service card was exactly what I needed, and Rober pulled it out just as expected. He used it weekly after those big pack meetings he orchestrated. But I had to wait for him to offer it—any direct request would make him suspicious.
"A company?" My mother exhaled dramatically, playing the role of a frustrated mom dealing with her impossible daughter. "For what specifically?"
"They've mastered carpet cleaning that completely removes unwanted scents," Rober explained, his gaze flickering between my mother and me. "I understand what it's like living with a territorial alpha wolf. Ivy shouldn't be blamed for this situation, Grace."
I offered a victorious smile toward my mother. "See? I told you so." I added a pouty expression for effect. "You kept insisting I was overreacting. That Jade is my sister and I should just deal with it."
