My mother smiled, her eyes reflecting the dancing flames of the fire. "I should clarify that my mother was the last pure Lycan, aside from the royal family. I'm three-quarters Lycan since my father was half Lycan himself—a secret his bloodline has guarded almost as vigilantly as your father's magic." She studied my face carefully. "Your heritage is quite mixed. I'm not certain if you have enough Lycan blood to possess one."
"Have a Lycan?" I asked, confusion evident in my voice.
"Yes. You see, pure Lycans have two distinct forms—a larger wolf and a wolfman form. But those with mixed Lycan heritage are blessed with two separate wolf forms," she explained patiently.
"Two wolf forms?" I repeated, trying to process this new information.
