Ivy's POV
I turned to my mother and nudged the sliding glass door with my nose, signaling toward the backyard. She hurriedly slid it open, allowing me to escape the chaotic scene I'd just created inside. I needed fresh air and distance from the drama unfolding between the three individuals I'd left behind.
"Mother," I called out softly, knowing she would follow.
She quickly joined me outside, her expression a mixture of concern and mild exasperation. "Killian... Did you really have to do that?" she asked, falling into step beside me.
"I did," I replied without hesitation, my voice firm with conviction. "She pushed too far, and frankly, we're exhausted from dealing with her constant drama." I turned to face my mother directly, my decision already made. "Shift. I want to run with you."
