Ivy's POV
I barely made it back to my room before my energy completely drained. Dropping my bags by the door, I kicked off my shoes and forced myself to put away my purchases. The sushi would be perfect for dinner, so I left that out while storing the rest in the fridge. Setting up my laptop for some mindless entertainment while eating seemed like the only appropriate way to end this exhausting day.
After finishing my meal, I took a quick, hot shower that melted some of the tension from my body. I had just nestled into the comfort of my bed when I remembered my promise to call the king. With a groan that echoed my reluctance, I dragged myself out of the warmth to retrieve the secure phone from my safe. After punching in the code and unlocking the inner lockbox, I grabbed the device and crawled back into bed with both phones.
