Ivy's POV
The alarm sliced through my peaceful slumber like a chainsaw, and I groaned into my pillow. Morning people were clearly a different species, one I didn't belong to. The warm cocoon of my sheets beckoned me to stay, but responsibility called. First day of classes meant finding out who the mysterious professor would be.
You're going to discover who the secret professor is today! Killian's voice vibrated with unusual excitement in my mind.
"What's gotten into you?" I asked while stretching my arms overhead until my shoulders popped satisfyingly.
She's been hyperactive since last night. I kept her occupied so you could get some sleep. Astrid's mental voice sounded exhausted.
"Killian? What's going on with you?" I swung my legs over the bed.
Someone's coming. Someone important. I can feel it. Killian's voice was breathless, as if she'd been running laps in my consciousness.
That's literally what she's been doing all night. Astrid confirmed with a mental yawn.
