I stumbled into my room well past midnight, barely managing to drag my exhausted body to bed before consciousness slipped away from me.
In my dream, I was sprinting through an ancient forest, the trees towering above me like silent sentinels. Something urgent pulled me forward—a desperate need to find someone who needed me. Faint cries echoed through the darkness, pushing me to move faster. The distant roar of crashing waves reached my ears before the salty scent of the ocean touched my senses.
I pushed through the dense undergrowth, my heart pounding. A twig snapped nearby, and though I couldn't detect any scent, I somehow knew Adler was beside me. Together, we raced through the shadowy woodland where sunlight barely penetrated the thick canopy. These trees felt ancient—older than the forests of my childhood, older than the woods near my school.
