Shadows were an art, and panther shifters excelled in them.
Most wolves think hiding is crouching low, waiting for the dark to do the work. Idiots. Shadows are not cloth you drape around your shoulders. They are alive. They breathe, bend, stretch, and coi,l and if you want to disappear, you do not just hide in them, you become them. Panthers know this in their bones. Wolves? Not so much.
That is why I was the one walking through these halls while the Eastern Chambers simmered with tension, everyone bickering about what to do. I did not need debates. I needed answers, and answers do not wait politely at the door.
