The haze was unbearable, and it shot through me the minute that Kael's wolf had declared "mate" In the corridor. I was in shock at first, but then my wolf Ostel was elated and could not hide his joy. I never thought for a moment that my mate would be a male, but I did not give a fuck, as long as his wolf claimed me.
And that is when I decided to drag him back to my chambers, and Kael thought he could run, thought he could dart down corridors with his sharp little words and sharp scent trailing behind him like a dare.
