Chapter 65: Broken
Ricardo straightened his shoulders, squaring them, his glare was completely focused on Victoria as if she were nothing but dirt under his boots.
Victoria had so many ideas in her head how to get back at him, but instead all she could do was tap her left foot uncontrollably.
Then, she forced it to stay still. Victoria wasn't that someone who cried so easily…to her, crying was seen as weakness…for someone like Nadeira.
Harriet broke the silence first, "How dare you, Ricardo. To raise your hand against me-"
"Silence." Ricardo's voice cracked like a whip. "You've said enough. Both of you."
Victoria's raging glare turned into something more crazy. She straightened her spine and lifted her chin. "You'll regret striking me. Both of you will. Nadeira most of all."
Ricardo's jaw flexed. "Nadeira has nothing to fear from you."
