When the bubble finally released her, Nadeira's body slumped into her father's arms.
Ricardo held her as though she were still a child. He didn't stop until they crossed the heavy forest and reached a small stone house hidden beneath creeping ivy.

"Where am I?!" she gasped and her voice started breaking.
Ricardo lifted his hands slowly, palms open like a man facing a wild animal. "Safe. You're safe, Nadeira. Please, don't be afraid."
