Ricardo was laughing with his hands behind his back.
"Do you want to know why the mermen follow you like dogs? Do you want to know why they burn for you?"
Nadeira clenched her fists. "Tell me."
"It's because of Barbara. Because of what she did. Your mother was no saint…Yes. I loved her very much, but this bitch had to go out and make deals. She ruined lives. And you…you are the prize she left behind."
Nadeira was holding her breath as her eyebrows furrowed. "What are you talking about?"
Ricardo smirked. "Do you really want to know? Do you really want to hear why I poisoned you? Why did I call you a mistake? Why does everything around you fails?"
"Yes," she shouted. "Tell me!"
"Then listen closely. I know why they are obsessed. I know why you cannot escape them. I know why you will always be chained to the sea. Barbara made sure of it. She-" He stopped suddenly.
