Naruto quickly felt that something wasn't right.
The diary had said that his father could even deal with the Ten-Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb.
Although Naruto had no idea what a Tailed Beast Bomb actually was, it sounded incredibly powerful.
His father should have been much stronger than Naruto had imagined.
He shouldn't have died so easily at the hands of the Nine-Tails.
Ever since learning that Minato Namikaze was his father, Naruto had made an effort to learn about Minato's achievements.
Without exaggeration, Minato was practically a legendary figure.
Naruto once again strengthened his resolve.
He absolutely had to ask Grandpa Hokage about all of this.
"Hidden Cloud Village!"
Meanwhile, Tony Stark focused on another name mentioned in the diary.
This was the third village referenced after the Hidden Leaf Village and the Hidden Sand Village.
Just like with the Sand Village, the diary didn't provide much information.
But since this village dared to provoke Konoha and was responsible for the death of one of Konoha's ninja...
Could it also be one of the Five Great Ninja Villages?
Tony thought that was highly likely.
Although the diary didn't explain who Hizashi was, the fact that he was specifically mentioned in this context suggested he was someone important.
Otherwise, there would be no reason to mention him at all.
More importantly, Tony had obtained another major piece of information.
"Orochimaru was actually the Third Hokage's student?"
Tony couldn't help being surprised.
The context made it obvious.
The diary grouped Orochimaru killing the Third Hokage and Obito causing the death of the Fourth Hokage under the category of "students killing their teachers."
Tony really hadn't expected that.
The man who betrayed Konoha, murdered the Hokage, and helped invade the village had once been the Hokage's own student.
Another Kaecilius, huh?
No matter the universe, there were always people like that.
[And we can't forget Jiraiya. He also died at the hands of his own student.]
[It's all Danzo's fault. If that old bastard hadn't interfered, Yahiko wouldn't have died, and Nagato wouldn't have fallen into darkness.]
[The guy truly deserves the title "Darkness of Konoha." He'd do any dirty deed to achieve his goals.]
[He killed Uchiha Kagami, stole Uchiha Shisui's eye, wiped out the entire Uchiha Clan, and stood by during Konoha's greatest disasters just to seize power.]
[He even manipulated Kakashi into attempting to assassinate the Third Hokage, though fortunately Kakashi came to his senses.]
[The only time he acted like a man was during his final battle with Sasuke. Unfortunately, after sacrificing his life, all he managed to seal was a bridge.]
[He and the Third Hokage sealing just two arms deserve the title of the greatest comedic duo in ninja history.]
"Well…"
"Looks like it wasn't over after all."
Tony didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
When the diary joked that Konoha had a tradition of students killing their teachers, Tony had already suspected there were more examples.
And sure enough—
There was another one.
Jiraiya had also been killed by his student.
The diary didn't elaborate, but Tony quickly pieced together the basic outline.
Danzo caused Yahiko's death.
Yahiko's death led to Nagato's corruption.
Nagato eventually killed Jiraiya.
Simple enough.
"This Danzo guy really is a scheming old bastard."
Even Tony couldn't help commenting.
Danzo's image instantly became crystal clear in Tony's mind.
A ruthless political opportunist.
The kind of man who would sacrifice anything to gain power.
Every world had people like that.
Still, one detail caught Tony's attention.
Danzo eventually died at Sasuke's hands.
Sasuke's name had appeared repeatedly throughout the recent diary entries.
And from all the clues, it was obvious that Sasuke was one of the most important figures in the story.
After all, he had protected Team 7 from the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Without Sasuke, Team 7 would have been trapped as well.
Meaning Kaguya could never have been sealed.
So if someone like Danzo died at Sasuke's hands...
Sasuke must have been terrifyingly powerful.
Though Tony still had no idea what was meant by "sealing a bridge."
"Danzo?"
"He wiped out Sasuke's clan?"
"He even tried to make Kakashi-sensei assassinate Grandpa Hokage?"
"Damn it!"
"Who exactly is this guy!?"
Naruto was furious.
He didn't know Jiraiya yet, so Jiraiya's death didn't affect him much.
But everything Danzo had done?
That was unforgivable.
Naruto didn't know who Uchiha Kagami or Uchiha Shisui were.
But they were Sasuke's clansmen.
And Danzo had harmed them all.
Even worse—
The entire Uchiha Clan had been exterminated because of him!
And he had even plotted against the Hokage.
Naruto wanted nothing more than to find Danzo immediately and beat him to a pulp.
Since Sasuke was still his classmate, Naruto knew these events had to happen in the future.
Which meant Danzo was still alive right now.
The thought only made Naruto angrier.
He had to tell Grandpa Hokage.
Danzo needed to be arrested immediately.
[Of course, Danzo's good friend, the Third Hokage, wasn't innocent either.]
[Everything Danzo did was with the Third's approval. Danzo was essentially the Third Hokage's blade.]
[Take the Uchiha massacre for example. Such a massive operation happened, yet ANBU never intervened from beginning to end.]
[Do you really think the Third Hokage didn't know? He simply didn't want to dirty his own hands.]
[Running a village that large means getting your hands dirty sometimes, sure. But what Konoha did to the Uchiha was genuinely disgraceful.]
[The Uchiha Clan helped found the village alongside the Senju Clan, yet they never produced a single Hokage. How could they not resent that?]
"Danzo is actually a Konoha ninja?"
Naruto couldn't believe it.
He had assumed Danzo was some enemy from outside the village.
Now he learned Danzo was one of Konoha's own people.
In hindsight, the clues had been there all along.
The diary had mentioned Danzo sitting back during Konoha's crises while fighting for power.
Naruto simply hadn't wanted to believe it.
Because if that were true...
Then Danzo had to be a high-ranking leader within the village.
And if someone who exterminated the Uchiha Clan remained protected inside Konoha...
What did that say about the village?
Naruto didn't want to think about it.
Yet the diary made it unavoidable.
The Third Hokage knew.
The Third Hokage approved.
The Third Hokage allowed it.
Why?
The Uchiha were part of Konoha.
Members of the village.
Yet they weren't killed in battle.
They were destroyed by their own home.
Naruto sat there stunned.
His worldview had taken another devastating blow.
"No."
"I don't believe it."
"It can't be true."
He kept shaking his head.
"Politics."
"Dirty politics."
Tony sighed heavily.
From his perspective, the situation was obvious.
The Uchiha Clan had been one of Konoha's founding families.
That was precisely their original sin.
At its core, this was nothing more than a struggle for power.
The Uchiha had too much influence.
Too much prestige.
Too much history.
Some people didn't want the Uchiha holding authority.
But openly denying them leadership would have been impossible to justify.
So the simplest solution was to eliminate them entirely.
Tony had seen similar situations countless times.
Power struggles were universal.
[It's tragic when you think about it.]
[The only clan capable of standing against the Senju eventually ended up like this.]
[Officially, only Sasuke remains.]
[One survivor is busy paving the way for his younger brother.]
[Another is hiding in the shadows, plotting a scheme that will affect the entire ninja world.]
[Even so, the Uchiha are better off than the Senju.]
[The Senju truly have only Tsunade left.]
[And she abandoned the village long ago, wandering the world as a gambling addict.]
"The Senju Clan?"
Naruto tilted his head.
A clan equal to the Uchiha?
Wasn't the Hyuga Clan supposed to be Konoha's strongest family?
When had there been a Senju Clan?
Then Naruto remembered.
The First Hokage's name was Senju Hashirama.
So the Senju Clan was the First Hokage's family?
Then why had Naruto never heard of them?
Reading further, Naruto's attention shifted back to the Uchiha.
"Only three Uchiha remain."
Even Naruto understood that.
The diary was practically spelling it out.
Only Sasuke remained publicly.
The other two existed somewhere in secret.
Meaning they weren't in Konoha.
That explained why Naruto had never met them.
One was supposedly paving the way for his younger brother.
Naruto paused.
Younger brother?
Given that only three Uchiha remained, who could that younger brother be?
Sasuke?
Or someone else?
Naruto couldn't tell.
But if Sasuke really had an older brother, Naruto felt happy for him.
At least there was a chance Sasuke wasn't completely alone.
As for the other Uchiha—
The one plotting against the entire ninja world—
Naruto couldn't help swallowing nervously.
A plan involving the entire ninja world?
What exactly was he trying to do?
"And Tsunade?"
Who was that?
Naruto had never heard the name before.
But now he finally understood why he'd never encountered any members of the Senju Clan.
The clan was already extinct.
Which only left him depressed.
A clan equal to the Uchiha.
The First Hokage's family.
Gone.
And the Uchiha were nearly gone too.
If those clans still existed, how much stronger would Konoha be?
Why did things turn out this way?
The more Naruto thought about it, the heavier his heart became.
