Chapter 44 - Chapter 44 Uru joins the guild

"Then I'll use teleportation to take you there with me. It'll be faster that way," Noah suggested.

"Alright, thank you for your help," Ulu nodded.

Noah suddenly thought of something else.

"You don't belong to any guild right now, so you can't even take commissions. Why don't you come to our guild Fairy Tail?"

"Fairy Tail? That's the guild you and Gildarts are part of?"

"Exactly. If you want to join, Grandpa won't object."

"Master Makarov…" Ulu smiled faintly. "I've heard of him for a long time, though I've never met him in person."

"Then it's decided. Let's head to the guild together. You can meet him, and then we'll handle the membership."

Ulu didn't refuse, so the whole group set out toward Fairy Tail.

On the way, Noah walked up front with Ulu, asking her all sorts of questions about ice modeling magic. She answered each patiently, occasionally smiling at his curiosity.

A little farther back, Simon, Gray, and Lyon were grouped together, their conversation brimming with excitement. Gray animatedly reenacted Noah's fight against Deliora, complete with exaggerated gestures. Simon listened wide-eyed, while Lyon kept adding flourishes, especially when describing Noah's overwhelming magic. His admiration and longing for strength were written all over his face.

Meanwhile, Erza, Kagura, and Ultear chatted softly. Erza and Kagura, both of whom had lost their mothers at a young age, were full of questions about Ultear's condition and what it felt like to have a mother beside her.

Ultear, smiling happily, told them about her mother's care how Ulu had carried her across towns to see doctors, how she still remembered the warmth of her mother's back even through feverish delirium. She admitted that for a time she had misunderstood, thinking her mother had abandoned her. But that was all the Magic Development Bureau's lies. If Noah hadn't reunited them, she might have carried that resentment forever.

Hearing this, Erza and Kagura both felt happy for Ultear, then shared their own stories how Noah had once stood against the Black Magic Cult and protected their village, saving everyone from disaster. That bond had tied them all closely to him.

The girls laughed and talked about the sounds of fierce battles they'd heard in the distance, while Ultear added her own vivid recollections of Noah's clash with Deliora.

Before long, they arrived at the familiar entrance to Fairy Tail.

As soon as the door swung open, the guild's rowdy noise washed over them.

A sharp-eyed member spotted Noah first and waved. "Oi, Noah! You're back! I heard you pulled off something huge!"

"Erza and Kagura too? The two little sisters are still adorable as ever!" another voice chimed in.

Then Macao and Wakaba noticed Ulu, their eyes immediately lighting up. "Whoa! Who's this beautiful lady with you, Noah? Introduce us, come on!"

"And who's this little cutie?!" another guild member exclaimed upon seeing Ultear. He made a clumsy dash toward her, only to be tossed aside by Noah before he could get close.

A few others peered curiously at Gray and Lyon. "And who are these two brats? Don't let them block our view of the ladies!"

The guild hall instantly erupted into its usual chaos teasing voices, playful scuffles, and the warm, overwhelming welcome that was uniquely Fairy Tail.

"Hey, this is such a huge difference!" Gray and Lyon were very dissatisfied with the way the guild members treated them compared to the others.

On the way, Noah had to fling aside several guild members who tried to rush up, and finally brought Ulu and the others over to the counter, where Makarov was sitting and drinking.

Noah immediately took away Makarov's glass.

"Grandpa, didn't you tell me not to drink? You're so old, drinking is bad for your health!"

"Just a little, just a little," Makarov muttered, trying to take back the glass. But Noah had already put it away, so Makarov could only smack his lips and stop.

He glanced at Ulu and the others behind Noah and asked,

"Who are these people? What are you doing here?"

"This is Ulu, her daughter Ultear, and these two are her disciples.

Like Laxus, Ultear was born with an overwhelming amount of magic power, which her body couldn't withstand. She's now receiving treatment at my place.

Ulu's savings are running low, so she wants to join a guild to take on jobs and earn money."

After Noah briefly introduced their situation, Makarov thought for a moment and said to Ulu,

"Ulu, I've heard of you. Many people say you could become one of the Ten Wizard Saints."

Ulu quickly shook her head and replied modestly,

"You flatter me, Master Makarov. After meeting you, I know I'm still far from that level."

Taking recent events into consideration, Makarov nodded.

"Fairy Tail welcomes you."

"Thank you, Master Makarov!"

"Don't be so polite, just call me President."

"Thank you, President!"

Seeing that Makarov had accepted Ulu, Noah turned to the three children.

"Why don't you join too? You'll get to see more and meet more people."

Ultear hugged her mother's waist tightly and said, "Wherever Mother goes, I go."

"If Ulu joins, then I'll join too. And Noah's here as well," Gray said, glancing at Ulu and Noah.

"Me too. If Ulu joins, I'll join too. I want to become stronger." After watching Noah's battle, Lyon no longer called Ulu the strongest, but from his expression it was clear he still wanted to surpass her one day.

Makarov agreed to accept the three children. Each of them chose their favorite color and placement for the guild emblem. Makarov took out the seal and stamped Fairy Tail's emblem onto them.

After receiving her emblem, Ulu immediately sensed something unusual. She looked at Makarov in surprise.

"President, what is this?"

"This is a magic unique to our guild. It was proposed and completed by Noah."

Makarov introduced it proudly, but Noah quickly shook his head.

"No, no, no, I only made a suggestion. The real credit goes to the one who helped make my idea a reality. No matter how you see it, it should be theirs."

"Without your idea, this magic wouldn't exist. That person is also very satisfied with you," Makarov replied.

Ulu, standing nearby, tilted her head curiously.

"Who is this person?"

"She's a member of our guild," Makarov explained, "but very few people know about her, and for now, she doesn't wish to be known by too many."

Not wanting to dwell on who deserved the greater credit for the emblem's magic, Noah turned toward Ulu and said,

"Ulu, this magic is very useful for Ultear."

Ulu immediately turned to look at her daughter, and sure enough, she saw Ultear's complexion had improved compared to before.
