Director Vilian, who was trying hard to contain her anger, asked him:
-You say the temple tried to assassinate you?
"Maybe I should risk a little; if this person makes an enemy of the temple, it won't be bad for me," thought Evans who waited a few seconds and then manifested:
-No, I wouldn't go that far wouldn't it be absurd to accuse the temple?
Evans walked, after having subtly clarified the doubt, he approached the books and the magic circles on the blackboards.
-Why don't you answer who it was? Without going around in circles. -Demanded the headmistress, standing up, scattering her power around the surroundings, causing the temperature to rise.
-That's not something I can say without proof, when the time comes I'll figure it out myself; you don't need to dirty your hands, I just want one thing. -Said Evans approaching the blackboard that had a compound magic circle that was incomplete.
The headmistress's fury was about to explode until she saw Evans write some symbols and replace others, a few seconds later, Evans put the chalk in place, took one of the books that were crowded and told her:
-Let's call it "Dragon's Breath".
The spell that Headmistress Vilian's mentor could not complete was completed in an instant, a pseudo-transcendent grade spell.
A spell of pseudo-transcendent degree was one whose power exceeded the top of the eighth circle, without reaching the power of the ninth circle.
-How?" asked the director without hiding her bewilderment.
-Let's say I read it in a book of the duchy, and since I'm a genius, I just applied what I learned. That's a good answer. Evans affirmed, then held her index finger close to her lips and made an easy-to-interpret sign, "It's a secret."
The headmistress sat down and asked him with a deep look:
-What do you want?
-To ensure Aria's safety, now and while she studies at the Academy, that she lacks nothing, and I don't want you to pressure her, let her choose her own path, I say this because her talent is superior to mine, I don't want anyone to make her unhappy. -Evans replied, walking calmly towards the door with the book he had taken.
-Are you sure I will meet your demands? -The headmistress questioned him.
-In the end I just choose to believe in you. -Evans left the address.
As he walked down the stairs Evans stored the book he took in his ring, as he thought, "In the end, I ended up acting strange; but if the headmistress decides to protect Aria, I can move on without a problem when I graduate from the Academy."

A few weeks later the eight students who made up Evans' group were sitting at a table in a corner of the library.
-What are you doing here? - Hana asked Karven.
-We are the renegades; if you all get together, what will I do? -asked Karven smiling.
Hana sighed and went back to reading the book she was holding and every now and then she made notes in a notebook. On the other hand, Cristal, Eriaz and Zelia were helping each other; and Lizet was reading a book by herself as well as Hana; the other new member of the group was Merzic who had become Karven's friend because they trained together in the rest times and during the combat classes, they also suffered together the torturous trainings of Evans who had preferred that both of them participated so that the training would be more useful for him, although in the end he didn't achieve it.
Evans was only pretending to read a book related to the compound magic circle assigned to him on the parchment, because he had already solved and slightly improved the compound circle exactly the same night of the day it was handed to him.
As it was getting late, Karven, Merzic, Cristal, Eriaz and Zelia left to set aside places in the cafeteria. Evans stayed, then got up and sat next to Hana and looked at her notes, she didn't mind.
"You already solved the compound circle; you're looking for a way to improve it."
Evans smiled at Hana's progress and then told her sincerely:
-You are extraordinary.
"Yes, a genius; your lack of mana and affinity can be compensated for with magic items"
Evans stood up, unaware that Hana's heart was pounding and she now felt more motivated.
Evans headed for the library exit, shortly after, just as she just left, Lizet approached who was looking down.
- "What's wrong? -Evans asked.
"Why aren't you nice to me?" asked Lizet in her mind without daring to ask the question, in the end she just answered:
-Nothing, I'm fine.
Lizet looked up and walked with quick steps towards the cafeteria.

At dusk.
Princess Amelia was sitting in front of Evans' small and simple desk, she had brought several books and was writing, erasing and writing on sheets of paper that later fell crumpled to the floor, the princess seemed to be concentrated, although she had already completed the compound magic circle, and had created some improvements, she wanted her improvement to be significant.
She placed, her quill on a white sheet, she had already consulted some questions about certain magic formulas to Evans, she looked at him, and decided she wanted to observe him quietly for a while.
Evans was sitting on the floor leaning against the wall near the window, the moonlight illuminated his face with a deep expression giving him a mysterious and captivating image.
Amelia observed the night sky that Evans saw, it didn't seem out of the ordinary, but she knew that she still didn't know Evans well enough and that maybe it wasn't the sky that he admired, but what the sky meant to him.
After a few minutes she broke the silence and told him serenely:
-They postponed the auction, because of what happened on the island.
-I know, there were students talking about it; it will be during the break at the end of this semester; I can go with Aria, if you want you can join us. -Evans suggested.
The princess laughed and then indicated:
-With your economic condition, I'd better invite you to a private box.
-All right, I don't object. -Evans answered.
The princess picked up her pen again to continue creating a magic circle with which she would be satisfied.
