Chapter 47 - Chapter 21 season 2

After the different groups submitted their essays, a month passed and many students began to focus on the subjects they had chosen, because the best place to stand out was not in the mandatory subjects, it was in the subjects selected by themselves; because if they were not able to stand out in what they were supposedly good at, the future was not going to be very promising.

Currently there were students who literally left blood, sweat and tears on the training fields, and there were others who had big circles under their eyes because they studied day and night.

As classes for the day had ended, Evans walked around the Academy, for the moment he had forgotten about Henry, since he never had the fortune to see him.

tears!

Evans saw Hana practicing light magic, but next to her she had another book that had a separator almost halfway, she was practicing hidden behind a tree. He didn't think about it, he walked over and sat next to her and opened the book to the section she was reading.

-Intermediate magic, recommended affinity greater than 70%. -Evans murmured.

-You should never give up. -Evans said.

He closed the book, looked at the top of the trees and said in a deep voice:

-A true magician is one who has vast knowledge; Potential is important, but in life there are inevitable variables, which can contain a magician's mana; In the end, knowledge is the source of a magician's life and power.

Hana leans her head on Evans' shoulder and asks him in a low voice:

-Why do you worry so much about me? Every time you're around, you watch my every reaction. At first I ignored it, but I'm not stupid, it's impossible to ignore it all the time.

-A friend gave me a second chance, he asked me to give hope to someone who would try their best to master magic.

-It sounds so false. -Hana replied.

Evans just stayed silent, in his mind wondering if he had really changed.

-Aria. -Evans murmured.

"It seems I have changed a little, although I don't know, I have no memories."

-Is she your lover? -Hana asked.

-She's my younger sister. The most important person in my world. -Evans said.

Crackle!

Crackle!

Evans could see powerful, scorching reddish flames that seemed to envelop everything.

-If I don't give up, will I achieve anything? -Hana asked, taking Evans out of that hallucination.

-I don't know, but it's certain that you won't achieve anything if you give up. Don't force yourself to learn, love the magic, and your creativity will do the rest. -Evans said standing up and offered his hand to Hana.

-Thank you, I will try. -Hana stated.

-That must be the attitude of a magician. -Evans said and then walked away as he entered the hallway, shortly after he disappeared from her sight.

"I think I'm falling in love with you Evans. I'm sorry," Hana thought, because she knew that Evans was engaged to the princess and it didn't seem like something forced.

Evans walked to the bedrooms, he was planning to meditate and face several imaginary warriors.

In his room Evans opened his desk drawer, there were about 10 high-level mana elixirs. The Academy gave 2 high-level elixirs to the students of class S; for mages it was two mana elixirs and for warriors it was 1 physical strengthening elixir and one mana elixir.

Evans took two elixirs, drank them, and began meditating to strengthen his third mana circle so that it could contain more mana.

"I can't waste these 4 years; I must get stronger no matter what; if I reach the fifth circle before leaving the Academy, I will be able to use my energy again"

••••

Another month passed like this.

The students of class S, class A, and class B were on the training ground, all using aura or their magic spells. Professor Adel observed them carefully.

"These two are phenomena," the teacher thought as she saw Evans moving at speed through the training field, without wasting movements or energy, and then swinging his sword forcefully. The other was Asert, he was synonymous with elegance and precision, added to that, while he moved he handled 10 floating cuvhillas ready to cut down any enemy.

"Karven also has a good level; and Merzic, he should be in class A at least, although that is from a practical perspective, I don't know how he is doing in the theoretical aspect," thought Professor Adel.

Among the students, some dreamed of the Event at the end of the academic year, in which a small tournament was held among the students according to their Academic year. Everyone wanted to see the confrontation between Asert and Evans.

-Students, we will do a sparring session, choose a partner! -Professor Adel exclaimed.

Many students instinctively moved away from Asert. but Karven smiled and came closer.

-Let's face each other! -Karven exclaimed with enthusiasm, because he had been wanting to face Asert for weeks.

-As you wish. -Asert responded.

Evans only watched for a few seconds, then looked around and everyone looked away except Merzic.

-I hope to learn from this confrontation. -Merzic said when he saw Evans approaching.

-Yes, let's try our best. -Evans agreed.

When you feel like you can't continue, give up!

The teacher organized ten fights at the same time. Despite that, since Asert and Karven were going to face each other, even those who were going to face each other in the same round seemed dissatisfied as they also wanted to see how long the match would last.

Everyone pay attention to their own fights! This is a great opportunity to evaluate your skills and weaknesses!

Get started!

If there are several fights, and only one of them is interesting, who wouldn't watch only the interesting fight?

I surrender! I surrender! I surrender!

Nine students gave up at once. but not even Professor Adel had time to reply.

Karven spun his spear above his head, jumped back as the spear continued to spin and grabbed it by the lower end stopping its swinging motion and pointing it towards Asher who was hit by a shockwave that erupted from the tip of the spear but only slightly ruffled his black hair.

A single explosive jump and it seemed that Karven would be defeated for not being on guard, but he just slid his spear back between his hand until the distance was perfect to hold it with both hands and block with the metal bar of the spear the swift slash of Asert who retreated.

Karven jumped towards Asert and tried to deliver three thrusts, but Aser dodged them all and jumped forward at a speed that did not allow Karven to react. Asert's sword was in front of Karven's neck.

-I have lost! -Karven indicated, keeping his spear in his ring.

The murmurs began to spread throughout the training field. But the teacher reacted and looked at the group of 9 students who had given up. In the end the students excused themselves by saying that they would learn more from watching a genius fight than from understanding their own mistakes, since it was something they could do later.
