Evans opened his eyes the instant he felt a slight disturbance in the barrier protecting Aria. He stood up, his gaze was sinister, it seemed to contain the hatred and resentment of the world.
In her room Aria was sleeping, the barrier protecting her from the chaos happening outside; But, now she was not alone, a dark gray-haired individual had entered the room, with his face partially covered from nose to mouth by a black garment. "She's a very pretty girl; it's a shame she has to kill you," Ecilpse thought, but the moment she raised her scarlet dagger she felt a strong presence approaching.
Boom!
Eclipse jumped out of the window with Aria in her hands the moment a silhouette broke through the doors. Shortly after, Eclipse could see Evans, raised his dagger and said:
-This is the will of the Duchess...
-For me, his will means nothing. -Replied Evans who had already caught up with Eclipse in an instant.
The moment he approached Eclipse, Evans grabbed the dagger blade with his right hand. Eclipse was confused, he couldn't move his dagger even an inch, and when he saw Evans' cold eyes he felt chills.
Evans took Aria, Eclipse could only watch helplessly. Aria was waking up, but Evans used a sleeping spell to keep her sleeping. Evans looked around, saw Stan injured, around him there were two dead intruders and three others partially injured.
Evans walked towards Stan and handed him Aria, the three invaders did not move, as their instinct told them "you are already dead, do something and the result will be hell"
-Take care of her.
-Yes sir. -Stans said with respect and firmness despite his injuries.
Evans continued to observe the surroundings and could see the servants' bedroom area; Evans wielded the sword that Amelia had given him with his right hand and covered it with a dark energy that gave it an obsidian hue.
Blood! Blood! Blood!
The heads of the three nearby intruders flew into the air, a single imperceptible magical slash decapitating them.
-Ana, Ana. -Lizet was talking to Ana who was holding her hand despite being injured, while they ran down a hallway.
-Hahaha. Run like that, it's more fun. -Said one of the intruders.
Ana and Lizet reached the end of the hallway that bordered Aria's bedrooms. Despite the injuries, Ana knew that in the midst of chaos, the most important thing to protect was the most important person to Evans. She didn't know why, but she suspected that Evans was stronger than he seemed, so she decided to trust her intuition.
Two more intruders appeared in front of them.
-They no longer have anywhere to escape. Little maid, if you play with me and some of my friends you won't die. What do you say? Well, you don't have a choice, although I think I can get a good price if I sell you as a slave. -Said the intruder with a morbid and mocking tone, until he saw the heads of his two companions fly away.
-So you want to play. Let's see how much fun you have when you are the object of fun. -Evans expressed with an icy and intimidating voice.
The intruder tried to escape, but Evans appeared in front of him.
Evans grabbed the intruder's face with his left hand and began to slowly burn it.
Howls! Shouting!
-Is it fun?
The intruder writhed as only his skin burned, restored, and burned, until he stopped writhing and just trembled.
-It's boring if you don't resist. -Evans told him and then he decapitated him.
Drops of dark blood fell to the ground, sliding from Evans' right hand to the tip of his sword.
The pain was hellish, Evans' arm was trembling slightly, he had directed all the charge he could not resist by using his power towards his right arm.
"Where are you?"
Evans looked around, until he noticed Eclipse in the middle of the main garden of the mansion.
There were several intruders who tried to escape but the moment they made contact with the perimeters of the mansion, they were caught by dark and rough hands that held them tightly until their limbs were forcibly torn off.
"Is this real?" Eclipse wondered as she heard the footsteps approaching. "There's no point even facing him; is it possible to have that level of power or is he a warlock?"
Warlock were what magicians were called who made pacts with demons or evil entities to become more powerful; For that reason, both warlocks and witches were exterminated by the inquisition.
-Are you a warlock? -Eclipse asked Evans.
-Is this another trick of the Duchess? -Inquired Evans, who upon hearing Evans' question suspected that there might be some type of communication between Eclipse and the Duchess.
-No, it was just my desire to know the identity of the person who is going to kill me. -Eclipse answered.
Evans grabbed Eclipse by the neck with his left hand, and then pierced Eclipse's solar plexus with his sword.
Eclipse regretted from the depths of his heart having accepted that mission. When he felt the corrosive energy that entered from his solar plexus and that spread to the rest of his body, mutilating each of the nerves in his body, he knew that there were tortures that transcended pain.
Eclipse refused to scream, even though she wanted to; Evans didn't care, he slowly tortured him to death, that was the punishment for approaching and threatening Aria.
Dry blow!
Eclipse's body fell to the ground. Evans felt his senses fluctuate, the burden had been great. Everything around was covered by the shadows of the night that hid the fateful result of the attack and the bodies of the victims who had remained in the mansion.
Evans walked to a bench, sat down and sent a magical message; shortly after he looked at Stan.
As Stan had Aria in his arms, he handed her to Lizet, since Ana was injured and in a delicate state, then he walked towards Evans.
Evans looked at his right arm, it had acquired a black color from which dark energy emerged, he extended his arm to the side and said in a firm tone to Stan:
-Cut it!
Evans' words echoed in Stan's mind, but he didn't have time to think about anything, because Evans said:
-Don't waste time; just do what you can Cut it!
Stan felt his arms tingle, he held his sword tightly, raised it and with a downward slash...
Cut! Blood!
The dark arm fell to the ground, Evans used his magic to stop the bleeding.
"It would be a shame to waste so much energy"
Evans took the arm and stored it in one of his rings.
