Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Nami is Happy!

In the abandoned room, Bruno stood in confusion, scanning the empty space.

They had clearly surrounded the area, so how had their targets vanished upon entering? Footprints on the ground suggested they had been there just moments ago.

This baffling situation left the CP agents puzzled.

Inside a strange, green-hued space, little Nami clung to Lynn's hand, her breaths rapid from the nerve-wracking escape.

"Na... Nami, how did you use the Door-Door Fruit so skillfully?" Lynn asked, stunned by her maneuver.

"Huh? The Door-Door Fruit?" Nami blinked in realization, only now grasping what she had done.

She had been so anxious that she instinctively activated the Devil Fruit's power—almost as if it had always been second nature to her.

"That's right. You ate the Door-Door Fruit, and it seems you can open doors anywhere, just like you did just now." Lynn explained seriously.

Nami fell silent, deep in thought about her new ability. Slowly, a gleeful smile spread across her face.

"Really?! Lynn, this power really lets me open doors anywhere!" Her excitement grew as she imagined countless ways to use it.

Lynn was just as thrilled. His gamble had paid off—Nami had truly eaten the Door-Door Fruit!

The two children locked eyes, exchanging sly grins.

They understood each other perfectly in that moment.

"First, check if those people have left, Nami."

"Got it! Watch me!"

Nami lightly pushed open a door in thin air and cautiously poked her head through.

"Lynn, there's no one outside! Let's go!" she whispered, stepping out of the pocket dimension.

Lynn followed close behind.

The door Nami had created led them far from the abandoned city, into a completely different location.

"Sugoi! Nami, this power is incredible!" Lynn marveled.

Although he had known the Door-Door Fruit was strong, witnessing it firsthand was something else entirely.

"Hehehe, now we don't have to worry about getting caught! This power is amazing!" Nami beamed, clearly delighted by her newfound ability.

"Nami, can you open a door all the way to Cocosia Village?" Lynn asked curiously.

Nami tilted her head in thought before shaking it. "Hmm… no. Cocosia Village is too far away. I can only go back to where we were earlier. If I want to open doors over long distances, I probably need to get stronger."

Lynn nodded. "That makes sense. You're still young, so your range must be limited for now."

"Let's keep exploring, Lynn! Maybe we'll find more Devil Fruits!" Now eager, Nami took the lead.

With her new power, her boldness had skyrocketed.

"Alright, let's go!"

"Treasure hunt time!"

"Hey, Nami, how about training with me from now on?"

"Ehh, that sounds tiring~"

"Come on, if you get stronger, you'll be able to open doors even farther, right?"

"Ugh, I don't wanna train!"

"The cutest Nami in the world, just give it a try~"

"Aah!"

Their playful banter echoed as they walked, their laughter filling the air.

Changing direction, they continued their treasure hunt. By noon, they needed to return to Cocosia Village on Hobby Island before dark.

The two chattered along the way, their laughter echoing through the ruins.

Changing direction, they continued their treasure hunt.

It was already noon, and they needed to return to Cocosia Village on Hobby Island before dark.

After nearly two hours of walking, Lynn and Nami passed through a forest and arrived at another city.

This city was smaller than the last and just as dilapidated, its buildings reduced to ruins.

Having learned from their previous encounter, they were much more cautious this time.

Lynn and Nami stuck together, ensuring that if they were discovered, they could escape instantly.

They headed directly for the central district, where the wealthiest residents had likely lived—making it the best place to search for treasure.

Ten minutes later, they arrived at a relatively intact building.

Exchanging a knowing glance, they nodded in unison.

"Alright!"

"Let's check it out!"

Hand in hand, they stepped inside.

The midday sun filtered through the cracks in the walls, casting scattered patches of light on the dusty floor.

Tick... tick... tick...

Their footsteps echoed on the hard floor, the only sound in the eerie silence.

Lynn took in the broken paintings on the walls and the scattered remnants of once-valuable antiques.

"The people who lived here must have been rich nobles," Lynn stated confidently.

"I think so too! I wonder if they left behind any Devil Fruits~" Nami mused excitedly, the thought of treasure lighting up her face.

As always, they made their way to the study, where a nautical chart hung on the wall.

Lynn barely glanced at it, but Nami examined it carefully.

After a few moments, she shifted her attention to the nearby bookshelf. Lynn had already begun rummaging through the study.

Standing on tiptoe, Nami pulled a book from the shelf, flipped through a few pages, and tossed it aside in disinterest.

Then, her gaze landed on a row of books on the top shelf, piquing her curiosity.

"Lynn, help me get those books down," she called, pointing upward.

"On it." Lynn walked over, eyed the tall shelf, then dragged a desk closer to stand on.

He leaped onto the desk and retrieved the books Nami had pointed out.

"Here you go."

Nami dusted off the covers before flipping one open.

"Wow~~!"

"They're books about weather patterns! This is amazing, Lynn!" Her excitement was palpable as she eagerly skimmed the contents.

"That's great, Nami! You can learn even more about navigation now!" Lynn grinned, happy to see his navigator improving.

Nami carefully collected the books, then used her ability to open a space door and stashed them away.

Lynn was certain these books meant more to Nami than any treasure could.

After searching the rest of the house, they found nothing else of value.

"Gu~~~"

Nami clutched her stomach dramatically. "Lynn, I'm starving! What do we do?"

"Hmm..." Lynn rubbed his chin, deep in thought.

Then, his eyes brightened. "I got it! Nami, let's go hunting in the forest we passed earlier. There were plenty of animals there. We can catch some food and bring extra meat back to Cocoyasi Village. Sound good?"

"Yes! Yes! Let's go, Lynn!"
