Chapter 60 - Chapter 60: Enterprise Joins the Family

"Commander, greetings. I am the Yorktown-class aircraft carrier, Enterprise. One of my many titles is the Grey Ghost. The blood-soaked uniform on me constantly reminds me of my heavy mission. Enterprise is willing to follow you into fire or blades without hesitation!"

The first thing Enterprise did was declare her loyalty.

Hearing this, Jason Kin nodded in satisfaction, his eyes sweeping over her figure.

The game did not lie. Enterprise's figure was truly unmatched, standing at the top among the four shipgirls he had awakened.

"Tsk, tsk…" Jason marveled silently in his heart.

Noticing his silence, Enterprise tilted her head curiously. "Commander, what is it? Is there something strange about me?"

Strange? Not at all. Beautiful? Far too many points to count. Jason chuckled inwardly. But as a god, he still had to keep his dignity.

"Hehe, nothing's wrong. I just wanted to take a good look at you. I did the same with the others when we first met," Jason explained casually.

Then he pulled up Enterprise's status screen.

Shipgirl Status Screen:

Name: Enterprise Category: Azure Shipgirl Faith: Apostle Rank: Ninth-tier Demigod Talent: Ship Equipment – Carrier Skill: Luck Standard Equipment: Twin 40mm Anti-Aircraft Guns, Torpedo Bombers (F4U, Swordfish, Meteor), Bombers (SB2C Helldiver), Fighters (Hornet) Enhanced Equipment: High-energy Laser Cannon, Railgun, Land Combat Boots

Luck: During air support, 70 percent chance to deal double damage and enter stealth mode.

Looking at these stats, Jason nodded with satisfaction. Enterprise had all the carrier's equipment she should have, plus enhanced weapons she was never meant to wield. With these additions, her power was far stronger than expected.

At that moment, Enterprise asked curiously, "Other shipgirls? Commander, do I have comrades besides myself?"

"Yes, that would be us!"

Before Jason could answer, four figures rushed toward them.

It was none other than Bismarck, Laffey, Icarus, and Effie.

Bismarck and Laffey skimmed over the waves with their ship equipment, Effie galloped across the air on her unicorn, and Icarus simply spread her mechanical angel wings, flying gracefully straight to Jason's side.

"Master, is this our new sister?" Icarus asked, her eyes scanning Enterprise carefully. But when her gaze fell on Enterprise's curves, she instinctively lowered her head to glance at her own.

Impossible, she thought. I lost, even if only by a little. Before Enterprise's arrival, she and Bismarck had been evenly matched. Now both of them were surpassed. The realization left her slightly unwilling.

"Another big sister? Hmph… glug glug!"

Laffey pouted at Enterprise's tall and glamorous figure, then drowned her frustration in her wine. A bottle was gone in moments, and she quickly pulled another from her bottomless shoulder bag, guzzling away.

Her bag was like Doraemon's pocket, except instead of gadgets, it contained nothing but her beloved wine.

Jason could only sigh silently.

"Pfft, Laffey, no matter how much you drink, you won't grow into a big sister. You'll just have to accept it," Effie teased gently, patting the little one's head.

Bismarck, on the other hand, ignored appearances. Her sharp eyes went straight to Enterprise's strength. "Such power… a demigod at birth."

Her voice held a trace of bitterness. Unlike Enterprise, she had reached her rank only after tireless effort, Jason's help, and her own relentless training. To see someone appear at her level without effort was disheartening.

Jason noticed the flicker of unease in her eyes. He took her soft hand and spoke warmly. "Everyone begins at different points. But what matters more is what you've achieved through your own effort. Besides, we share memories that none of them can ever replace. Isn't that right?"

Bismarck's heart softened instantly. The envy faded from her gaze, replaced by a gentle smile. "Yes, Commander. I understand."

"That's good." Jason smiled, then cleared his throat. "You are right. This is Enterprise, your new sister. She is a Yorktown-class carrier and my apostle. From today, she will fight by your side. Enterprise, introduce yourself and get along well with them. I will not tolerate discord."

"I understand, I will never disappoint you, Master," Enterprise promised.

"We won't either," the others chimed in with laughter. "We're all sisters, one family."

"Good. Show her around the divine domain and the human world. Soon, the world will need your strength." Jason's eyes grew thoughtful as he said this. With a flash, he vanished from the divine domain.

Moments later, a magic portal appeared before him, and out stepped a bald woman.

It was none other than the Sorcerer Supreme, Ancient One.

"Master Phils, it has been a few days. I trust you are well," she greeted calmly.

Jason, who had long expected her, remained unshaken. "Good to see you too, Ancient One."

"Congratulations, Mr. Phils. Your strength has grown to heights I can scarcely match. Truly admirable."

Jason chuckled. "As expected of the Sorcerer Supreme. I just advanced, and you already know. Impressive."

Her calm smile returned. "Let's not waste words. You wanted everyone to sense your power. With your strength, hiding it would not be difficult, yet you chose not to. You wanted the world, even the cosmos, to notice. To deter those with eyes on Earth. For that, I thank you."

Jason was stunned for a moment. He had not thought so far. In truth, the overwhelming surge of power during his fusion with the Book of Reincarnation simply could not be hidden. But since she misunderstood, he did not bother correcting her.

"Ancient One, you didn't come just to say that, did you?" Jason asked with a knowing look.

"You already guessed," she replied evenly.

"You mean the matter of the Hell Dimension?" Jason said.

"Yes." She was not surprised by his calmness.

Jason smiled faintly. "You must have made a pact with Mephisto."

"I did. But to him, pacts are nothing compared to profit. When he learned of my coming death, he abandoned the deal. That is why I need your help."

Jason's gaze lifted to the sky, piercing the firmament. In the void above, he locked eyes with a pair of vast, evil eyes hidden within dark energy.

"So Dormammu has joined hands with Mephisto. They want to carve up Earth. Dormammu keeps you occupied, leaving Mephisto free to descend."

Jason lowered his gaze, his voice calm. "I understand, Ancient One. I will act."

The Earth would soon face great peril. Demons and devils would pour forth once the Hell Gate opened. Mephisto intended to turn Earth into his playground. That was unacceptable.

It was not nobility that moved Jason, but necessity. Earth was his foundation, humanity his lifeblood. Their faith was the source of his strength. If Earth fell, his power would wither.

This battle was inevitable.

More importantly, this was also his chance to let the entire world know of his existence as a god. To rise higher, toward the realm of a mid-tier true god, he would need a sea of believers.

The numbers required were astronomical. But Jason was determined.

The Ancient One, watching him, felt relief. She had long observed the Lord of Life and knew his terrifying potential. What she valued most was not his present power, but the limitless future within him.

Even the Time Stone could not pierce the veil of his fate. That alone said enough.

In her heart, she knew: Jason Kin and the Church of Life would be Earth's greatest bulwark in the coming storm.
