(Previous chapter - Round 1 of Rafter Tournaments were over. Gauge Vs Aero piercer about to begin.)
LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, THE NEXT BATTLE IS MOST CERTAINLY A HEATED ONE. ON ONE SIDE OUR UNDEFEATED CHAMPION AEROPIERCER. THE CONTENDER IS NO PUSHOVER. HE QUALIFIED WITH THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF DEFEATS IN THE PRELIMS.
Gauge and Aero piercer face off each other. The Audience are hyped to see this battle go down.
THE MOST AWAITED BATTLE OF THE TOURNAMENT GOES DOWN IN 3.....2.....1....BATTLE!!!!
Aero piercer smiles,
"You might be strong. But you need to catch me first."
He starts speed blitzing Gauge. Punches and kicks from everywhere. From the front - Gauge blocks it with ease- An overhead kick smash. Gauge sidesteps to the left. *baammm* *crack* Aero pierces the ground.
(ASTOUNDING. GAUGE COUNTERS AERO'S UNDEFEATED SPEED WITH REFLEXES. THIS MIGHT BATTLE MIGHT BE CLOSE THAN WE EXPECTED.)
Aero immediately disappears. He moves so fast, eyes can't see. He lands on a wall. From there a superfast launch towards Gauge. Gauge simply leans backwards. Charged his fist as fast as he could. He swung the moment Aero landed but misses. Aero disappears yet again. He appeared in front him,
"You aren't half bad. But you can't win by just dodging, can you?"
Gauge thought to himself Damn it he's right. If I only I was a little faster. Aero continues,
"I'll show you why you can't win with reflexes alone...."
He vanishes in a second. Appeared directly above and *slam* striked the ground harder than before. Gauge was able to dodge with ease. large pieces of rubble exploded to height from the impact. Aero launched himself from Nowhere again. Gauge moved out of the trajectory------------Aero delivered a powerful blow to where he dodged.
(WOAHHHHH!!!- THAT IS WHY HE IS THE CHAMPION. AERO USED THE FLYING PIECES OF RUBBLE TO DEFLECT HIS TRAJECTORY. A DIRECT HIT.)
Gauge was on his knees. But attacks did not stop. The unpredictable trajectories gave Gauge a hard time to defend. *BAM* from the left - from the right. He was tossed across the battlefield.
(THE FLAME PRODIGY IS TANKING HITS. NO MATTER HOW MUCH ENDURANCE YOU'VE GOT, IF YOU CONTINUE TO TAKE HITS WITHOUT RECOVERY YOU WILL BE KNOCKED DOWN.)
Gauge tries to counter. He goes for the stone pieces. But Aero is fast enough to stop him.
Gauge snarled I just need a little more speed.....ah forget it. He notices Aero coming in from a distance. He steps to the right. But he saw him land on a rubble in a certain angle. He knew it would be late to feint to the left now. But he tries *Tzzzmm* Aero misses him. The feint worked! Aero crashed into the stage.
(-----------HE DODGED NO ONE COULD EVEN SEE HIM. HOW DID HE DO THAT. THE BATTLE IS STILL ALIVE FOLKS!!!!)
Gauge was confused What just happened now?....okay that isn't important. I should be focused on replicating it. He punched Aero who crashed on the ground. Aero was sent flying into the audience. The audience evacuated just in time. They didn't care- they were fired up about the battle, shouting
"AERO PIERCER!!! AERO PIERCER!!!..."
Someone from the audience remarked,
"That was just flukeshot. There is no way that newbie is beating Aero piercer."
From the rubble Aero launched a rubble of stones. He started deflecting from the start Instead of responding to his opponent. Gauge observed him carefully. Yet he was caught off guard. In an instant Aero's arm was only inches away from his face. Gauge forced every muscle in his body to dodge to the right! to the right!----------- Aero missed again.
(ONCE AGAIN THE PRODIGY PROVES HE IS A WORTHY OPPONENT. HE EVADED AERO TWO TIMES IN A ROW.)
Aero was annoyed. Gauge was distracted thinking How did I do that. Var on the sidelines muttered to himself
"Come on think kid. You know how you did it. You do it all the time, figure it out!"
Just before he could figure out *thudd* a punch straight to his face. He crashed through the stone wall.
(--------OH WELL. CAN'T SAY I WAS EXPECTING THIS. THE PRODIGY IS DOWN.)
Aero piercer recovers his stance. He raised his arms to declare victory. The drunkard near Xerxes was disappointed,
"Ahhh shit! I thought at least for once I could see a real finals. That kid did good. It's a shame..."
A moment later, everyone grew silent. The only sound was the Wind howling. Aero confused, turned around. From the broken down stones, Gauge walked out. His boots were cracked and filled with white magma. His legs powered up and gleaming.
(WHAT AN UNEXPECTED TURN OF EVENTS. THE PRODIGY ISN'T GOING DOWN ANYTIME SOON.)
He looks at Aero and smirks---------*thudd* in a flash Aero was sent flying. Aero landing amidst the audience yet again. So this is how it's done..he thought to himself. He charged both his arms and legs,
"The real battle is just about to begin...."
The drunkard stood up raised his liquor,
"YE HAA HAA HAAA!!Show him kid."
Aero and Gauge charge at each other. *Dhuff* their fists meet each other. The impact sends a shockwave across the arena. Gauge's strength overpowers Aero. Broke through his defense. A direct blow to the face. He instantly grabbed Aero's leg and slammed him to the ground. Aero doesn't give up. He launched upwards at gauge. The Fight ascends to the skies.
(THIS FIGHT IS CRAZY. TO THINK THIS ISN'T EVEN THE FINALS.)
Aero punches him relentlessly. Gauge doesn't even budge.
"AHhhhhh!!!!....I will not lose to someone like you!..." Aero yells at Gauge.
Gauge blocks his fist effortlessly. He calmly responds,
"Too bad...." and he smiles
He grabbed Aero by his throat. They both lose momentum and start descending. *surge* Gauge charges his fist. Collected flames from the other parts of the body. From Audience view, he appeared like a streak of white meteor in the sky. Everyone observed the phenomenal sight with sparkling eyes. Gauge yells,
"Flaming fists - Blazing Starfall"
With one Final punch Gauge sends Aero drilling into the the ground. The force shattered half the stage creating a smokescreen. The smoke cleared up. Gauge was standing atop a knocked out Aero.
(-----------------UN...UNBELEIVABLE!! FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE TOURNAMENT HISTORY, AEROPIERCER HAS BEEN BROUGHT DOWN. SEMIFINALS BATTLE 1; WINNER - THE FLAME PRODIGYYYYY!!!!)
A moment of silence. A sudden burst of cheer from the audience,
"FLAME PRODIGY! FLAME PRODIGY!"
Gauge exhausted, sat on the ground. He smiles a bit...weakly raises his hands. A gesture of victory.
(A GRAND VICTORY! FLAME PRODIGY MOVES TO THE FINALS - BUT WHO WILL HIS OPPONENT BE ? BLOODY FANGS OR THE GOLDEN CHAMPION? WATCH THE NEXT BATTLE TO FIND OUT!!)
